"Yellow Sari and Ektara defines Mira Bai," says Lavina Tandon from Sony’s Vighnaharta Ganesh

Sony Entertainment Television’s show Vighnaharta Ganesh has presented to the viewers many beautiful and insightful mythological stories time and again. In the ongoing track, well-known actor Lavina Tandon is seen essaying the role of ‘Mira Bai’ A dedicated devotee of Lord Krishna, Mira Bai worshipped him religiously and her world revolved around him.

Late actor Sidharth Shukla's untimely demise on September 2 is being mourned by millions of his fans across the country. He rose to fame woth the television show Balika Vadhu in which he essayed the role of Shivraj Shekhar. He was paired opposite the late actor Pratyuhsa Banerjee who played the character of Anandi. After Sidharth's demise, Pratyusha's father Shankar Banerjee reveaed that during COVID-19 induced lockdon, Sidharth had forcible sent Rs. 20, 000 to him and his wife and would constantly enquire about their well being. Talking to a news channel, Shankar Banerjee said taht Sidharth was in touch with them afte Pratyusha's demise in 2016. He said that during Baluka Vadhu, Sidharth and Pratyusha had become close friends and that he would come home as well. Howvere, after Pratyusha's death, many people talked aboout the relationship between Sidharth and Pratyusha because of which the former stopped coming home. Shankar frther said that during teh lockdown, SIdharth would constantly messae him. Last message to them from Sidharth was acoupe of months ago. He would asked them if they needed any help. He had also forcibly sent Rs. 20,000. Sidharth Shukla's last ritestook place at Oshiwaa crematorium on Friday noon in the presence of his family and close friends. He is survived by his mother TRita Shukla and two sistres.

In the show, Lavina is seen dressed in a yellow saree, and accompanying her is the traditionally stringed instrument called the ‘Ektara.’ Elaborating on her look in the show, Lavina manages to keep it elegant and believes that simplicity is key.

Talking about the simple yellow saree she wears in the show and the instrument, Lavina Tandon says, "Mira Bai was a true devotee of Lord Krishna, and her devotion towards him was always pure. I wanted that to reflect the same qualities in my attire as well. To bring out the character, I am seen in a yellow-colored saree donned with intricate flower jewelry. Further adding to the essence of the look, I also carry an instrument called ‘Ektara’ that Mira Bai used to play. I believe along with delivering dialogues, looks also play an instrumental role as they help bring out the best depiction of a character. Also, I feel blessed to be playing such an important role in a show like Vighnaharta Ganesh that is loved and viewed by so many."
