Koffee With Karan 7: Tiger Shroff reveals he was 'depressed' after the failure of Heropanti 2 at the box office: 'I was heartbroken'

With taking the name of the film, Karan Johar asked Tiger Shroff how he deals with a huge setback like this. Tiger said, “I was heartbroken. I was depressed. I’m just a very extreme person, I wouldn’t say I sacrificed a lot because I like what I do, and I don’t have a social life and too many friends…” Karan added, “You did a lot of failure eating.” Tiger agreed to it saying, “I’m an emotional eater.”

Kriti Sanon was quite surprised considering they were shooting for Ganapath and that Tiger Shroff 'masks' it really well. When Karan asked whether this setback as determined him to prove himself again at the box office, he said, “I’m even hungrier right now. I’m not the type to get adulation–like great work, look at how well he has done. For me, my validation is the box office. I live for those whistles and all when I land, and I am about to save the day.”

Helmed by Ahmed Khan, Heropanti 2 starred Tiger Shroff, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tara Sutaria. The film released in May 2022.

On the work front, Tiger Shroff is currently busy with Ganapath starring Kriti Sanon. He also is set for Baaghi 4.

Probe agency claim Jacqueline Fernandez was aware of Sukesh Chandrashekar’s case

Earlier today it was reported that Sri Lankan beauty queen and Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez had been summoned by the Delhi police yet again next month. Besides this, a Delhi court as well has summoned Jackie later in September, both in connection with the Sukesh Chandrashekar Rs. 200 cr money laundering case. This came after the investigative agency filed a new chargesheet which cited the actress as one of the accused.

Probe agency claim Jacqueline Fernandez was aware of Sukesh Chandrashekar’s case

Now as per details mentioned by the investigative agency Jacqueline Fernandez was aware of Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s case, and had apparently ‘cooked up’ a false story to escape the investigations in the money laundering case. As per reports, the Enforcement Directorate in its chargesheet also claims that the actress was aware that the accused was married, “Jacqueline Fernandez was well aware about the criminal antecedents of Sukesh Chandrashekhar and also the fact that Leena Maria Paul is his wife in February 2021”.

Further the chargesheet also states that she consciously chose to overlook his criminal past and continued to indulge in financial transactions with him, mentioning that it was her hairstylist who informed her of Sukesh’s identity in February 2021. “Despite this, Jacqueline Fernandez ignored this fact and continued the relationship with Sukesh and also received, used and enjoyed the financial benefits from Sukesh, which are nothing but proceeds of crime," claims the chargesheet.

Talking about Jacqueline’s attempts to escape as a victim, the Enforcement Directorate further states in its chargesheet that though she claimed to be a victim, “During investigation she has failed to provide any substantial material to establish the victimisation by Sukesh." Further adding that she wiped her phone clean, deleting crucial evidence and this counted as tampering with evidence.

For the uninitiated, actress Jacqueline Fernandes has been embroiled in criminal proceedings involving Sukesh Chandrashekhar in connection with a Rs. 200 cr money laundering case. As per the Enforcement Directorate which has named Jacqueline as one of the accused, the actress admitted to receiving five watches, 20 pieces of jewellery, 65 pairs of shoes, 47 dresses, 32 bags, 4 Hermes bags, nine paintings and one Versace crockery set as gifts from the conman. Besides this, the agency also asserts that Chandrashekhar gifted two cars to Jacqueline’s parents in April 2021, which she did not disclose during her questioning. However, after being confronted with evidence she admit that Sukesh had bought her a property at Welgana in Sri Lanka.

Readers would be aware that Brahmastra features an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, and Nagarjuna among others whereas Shah Rukh Khan is expected to feature in a cameo. Speaking about the same, Mouni said, “My character is obviously derived from one of his fantasy fiction i.e. Ayan’s brainchild. But also you know when you are working with people like Ranbir, Alia, Bachchan Sir, Nagarjuna Sir. Shah Rukh Sir also plays a guest appearance.”

She went on to add, “I suddenly kind of realized why they are where they are in life. So it was such a different kind of experience that I gained while shooting this film and I even learnt so many things while shooting this film. Just to be a part of this world, I feel like it's a privilege.”

Speaking of Brahmastra, the film is a fantasy adventure drama based on Indian mythological concepts. Created and directed by Ayan Mukerji, it is produced by Dharma Productions. It is also being said that the film will feature an extensive cameo by Deepika Padukone. It is the first film to feature real-life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt together. Karan Johar wants to hold Brahmastra trials; Star Studios veto the proposal and decline the idea

It looks like the dark spell in Ranbir Kapoor’s career is over. His Shamshera, the first RK release in four years, bombed miserably. Now all hopes are pinned on Karan Johar’s Ayan Mukerji-directed Brahmastra which open on 9 September. Preview reports of the film are very encouraging. Those from the film fraternity who have seen Brahmastra can’t stop raving about it.

Karan Johar wants to hold Brahmastra trials; Star Studios veto the proposal and decline the idea

A source very close to Karan Johar reveals, “Karan has shown the film to those who opinion matters to him. Among those who have seen the film from within his fraternity are Shah Rukh Khan, S S Rajamouli, NTR Junior and Aditya Chopra. They cannot stop raving about the film. Of course Karan realizes that his friends from the entertainment industry praising Brahmastra does not amount to a mass acceptance of the work. Asli pareeksha toh tabb hogi jab junta dekhegi Brahmastra.”

Apparently Karan Johar is keen to show the film to trial audiences. But his co-producers and distributors Star Studios, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures are strictly against the idea.

“After burning his fingers with Liger, Karan wants to show the film to audiences outside the industry. He has realized the film fraternity won’t tell the truth about the quality of films. Karan Johar is super-confident about Brahmastra. He wants to hold pre-release ‘trial’ show for handpicked audiences who can offer do-able suggestions to better the film even at this late stage when the film’s release is two weeks away,” says a source close to Karan.

If only his co-producers would let him.

Liger makers shelled out Rs. 25 cr to feature Mike Tyson in Vijay Deverakonda – Ananya Panday starrer

Former boxing champ Mike Tyson walked away with a staggering Rs. 20-25 crores for his inane cameo appearance in Liger. Enterprising filmmaker Puri Jagannadh thought he had hit a jackpot when he got Mike Tyson for Liger.

Liger makers shelled out Rs. 25 cr to feature Mike Tyson in Vijay Deverakonda – Ananya Panday starrer

Tyson who? No I am just kidding, mimicking Mr Tyson who in a recent podcast claimed he had no recollection of doing a ‘Bollywood’ film called Liger. Everyone who saw the film seconds Mr Tyson’s sentiment. Everyone who saw the film would like to forget the brackish taste it leaves in the mouth.

But the question to be asked is, how did he get into Liger in the first place? What box office sense does that make? Whose idea was it?

A bit of probing reveals that Karan Johar who co-produced the Hindi version of Liger was totally opposed to the idea of inviting Tyson. Vijay Deverakonda too was not kicked by the idea. It was entirely Puri’s idea.

“Puri had a thing about working with Tyson. Otherwise today’s audience knows nothing about Tyson. He was fixated on the idea of anyhow getting Tyson into the film, no matter what the cost,” a source close to the project reveals.

Anupam Kher defends Yash Raj Films after Anurag Kashyap blames Aditya Chopra for the recent YRF film debacle

Anupam Kher, who recently featured in films like The Kashmir Files and Karthikeya 2, came in support of head of Yash Raj Films, Aditya Chopra after filmmaker Anurag Kashyap blamed him for the failure of their recent releases. The filmmaker had commented on how the director-producer sits in an office and keeps directing his employees on every small matter. Coming to his defense, Anupam maintained that it was not easy to build and maintain an empire like YRF films.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, as the veteran actor was seen promoting Karthikeya 2 with the star cast, Anupam Kher said, “I am very, very proud of Aditya Chopra. Yash ji’s family is like my own family. To have built an empire like Yash Raj Films is not an easy thing. It’s easy for people to make comments. I don’t again want to pass judgement on what he has said. He is not the ultimate authority on human behaviour.”

His comment comes after Anurag Kashyap spoke about the recent string of flops given by Yash Raj Films. Their last 3 releases which featured superstars like Ranveer Singh in Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Akshay Kumar in Samrat Prithviraj, and Ranbir Kapoor - Sanjay Dutt in Shamshera turned out to be box office disasters. Addressing the issue, the filmmaker had told Galatta Plus, “You have one person sitting in a cave, who doesn’t know the world outside, dictating how everybody should be making their films and telling them what to do. If Aditya Chopra has hired a bunch of people, he needs to empower them and not dictate them, not control the casting, not control everything. Sit in your office, hire good people if you trust them, and let them make their film - which is the mistake he makes! He doesn’t let them be.”

Anupam Kher has been a part of some of the biggest YRF films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Darr, Lamhe, among others.

The recently released social drama, Laal Singh Chaddha met with a disastrous fate at the box office in India. The Aamir Khan film has ended its run with collections under Rs. 60 crores, thereby ending up as one of the biggest disasters of Indian cinema to date. The actor has decided to completely forgo his acting fees and absorb all the losses of Laal Singh Chaddha. Aamir has taken complete ownership of the failure and doesn't want anyone but him to suffer. "He gave four years to the film but has not made a single penny from it. EXCLUSIVE: Ram Gopal Varma talks about Laal Singh Chaddha’s debacle; says, “Look at the box office scenario. Who would have imagined an Aamir Khan film would BOMB so badly?”

Bollywood Hungama recently spoke to Ram Gopal Varma exclusively wherein he revealed how in the pre-digital print days, exhibitors often used to remove scenes or songs from prints as per their wishes. By doing so, they often badly altered the narrative of films. Yet, it would work. RGV remarked, “Most people don’t realize that a film is a series of shots and scenes. In every scene, what the audience will think is very difficult to predict! A critic watches the film seriously. I don’t think the average moviegoer watches the film with the same eye.”

EXCLUSIVE: Ram Gopal Varma talks about Laal Singh Chaddha’s debacle; says, “Look at the box office scenario. Who would have imagined an Aamir Khan film would BOMB so badly?”

Ram Gopal Varma then narrated, “When Om Shanti Om (2007) and Saawariya (2007) were released on the same day, I went with my physical trainer to watch both the films. First, we saw Saawariya. This guy was constantly on his phone. He went out multiple times for a smoke or to get coffee. After 45 minutes, he asked me, ‘Iss picture mein daylight nahi hota hai kya?’! This is the only observation he made about the film, and he hated the film. Then we went to see Om Shanti Om. He exhibited exactly the same behaviour. But this time, he loved the film! Hence, in a 2 ½ hour-long film, for nearly 1 ½ hour, he was not concentrating on the film and would watch the film once in a while. At that time, he didn’t like Saawariya but he liked Om Shanti Om.”

RGV continued, “This is more relevant today. A lot of people feel that OTT is a threat. I personally feel that YouTube is a threat. It comprises so many kinds of videos, from well-packaged news to funny comedy sketches to viral videos of scandalous stuff done by politicians. Hence, the attention span is going down. Also, the mind-set is such that you can go anytime off YouTube and resume whenever you feel like it. But with OTT and theatres, the mindset is that you have to invest 2-3 hours of your time. That kind of attention is going to keep decreasing in the future.”

Ram Gopal Varma added, “A few weeks back, I was in Bengaluru and met an acquaintance. I asked him about his movie viewing habits – how many times he goes to the theatres in a month and how many films he watches on OTT on average. To which he said that he and his wife have stopped going to the cinemas. As far as OTT is concerned, he told me that every once in a while, he and his better half make a plan to watch a film on a digital platform. They end up watching only the trailers for 30-40 minutes, unable to decide what to watch, and they go to sleep! But this is so true. The way the recommendations pop up, it’s so difficult to decide what to watch. Eventually, you’ll decide upon the recommendation from a friend.”

He further said, “There was another acquaintance who told me that he saw a particular film in a theatre. When I asked him how the film is, he replied, ‘I was missing my remote control’! This was his way of saying that the film was boring and lengthy and he wished he could have fast-forwarded it.”

“My assistant told me that when he sits down to watch some content on OTT on TV, he also keeps his iPad open to watch another film. That’s not all. On the phone, he’s watching YouTube! And whatever is interesting at any given point of time, he watches that. I don’t think there’s any bigger nightmare for a filmmaker than this,” laughed Ram Gopal Varma.

The filmmaker feels that such a mind-set has definitely affected the box office earnings. He tried to prove his point by talking about the dismal collections of Aamir Khan-starrer Laal Singh Chaddha, “Look at the box office scenario. Who would have imagined an Aamir Khan film would bomb so badly? If Aamir Khan doesn’t know how to make a hit film, then what happens to the rest?”

Directed by Sultan (2016) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) director Ali Abbas Zafar, it is all set to be out on Netflix on September 16.

EXCLUSIVE: Diljit Dosanjh to be seen without turban for the first time on screen in Jogi

Today, Netflix held a star-studded event called 'Netflix Films Day' wherein they announced they talked about their upcoming films in the presence of its actors and director. The trailer of Jogi was presented exclusively here to the members of the media by Ali Abbas Zafar, producer Hemanshu Mehra and actress Amyra Dastur. Bollywood Hungama was present and got a sneak peek of the intense trailer.

From the trailer, it has come to light that Diljit Dosanjh will be seen without turban in a major part of the film. Jogi is based on the anti-Sikh riots of 1984. Diljit's character is shown to be removing his turban and cutting his hair with a heavy heart to hide his Sikh identity.

This is probably the first time that Diljit Dosanjh will be seen without his turban in a film. In fact, in a 2018 interview, Diljit had stated, "My most favourite directors from Bollywood have offered me films which I cannot do because they want me to do it without turban and that’s not possible. Turban is my identity, it’s my emotion."

However, Diljit Dosanjh, who made his presence felt at the event through a video call while in London, said that Jogi is an important film for him and it tells an important story from our pages of history. Hence, it is understandable why the actor decided to change his rule.

Earlier this month, a similar sequence was seen in Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha as well. It showed Mona Singh's character cutting off her son's hair so that he can be saved from the violent rioters in 1984.

Kartik Aaryan refuses Rs. 9 cr. offer; says NO to Paan masala endorsement

At a time when senior superstars, Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar who should know better, are brazenly selling cancer (a.k.a gutka, paan masala) to the nation, Bollywood’s youngest superstar Kartik Aaryan has resolutely said no to a tempting offer to endorse Paan Masala.

Kartik Aaryan refuses Rs. 9 cr. offer; says NO to Paan masala endorsement

When I double-checked this news with a prominent ad guru, he confirmed it saying, “That’s right. That boy Kartik Aaryan has said no to around Rs. 8-9 crore offer to endorse paan masala. Kartik seems to have principles, a rare commodity in today’s actors who suffer from the gift of the ‘grab’. Saying no to such big money is not easy. But Kartik is conscious of his responsibility as a youth icon.”

Former chairperson of the censor board and producer Pahlaj Nihalani also endorses Kartik Aayan’s decision not to endorse harmful products. “Paan masala is killing people. Being encouraged to take gutka and paan masala by Bollywood role models is definitely damaging to the nation’s health.”

Akshay Kumar has a very clean image. He is seen as a hero of the masses. Then why is he promoting a brand of paan masala? Others like Govinda and even Pierce Brosnan are known to have promoted paan masala.

Shockingly Pahlaj Nihalani reveals that the broadcasting of alcohol and paan masala ads is illegal and unconstitutional. “Law forbids the CBFC from granting certification to paan masala and alcohol ads. Therefore, the ads for these products being broadcast are illegal. Actors who are part of such ads should know they’re participating in an illegal activity.”

SCOOP: The REAL REASON why Karan Johar put Tiger Shroff-Rashmika Mandanna starrer Screw Dheela on the back burner

Recently, Karan Johar confirmed that his next with Tiger Shroff, titled Screw Dheela has been delayed by a year. Bollywood Hungama did a bit of investigation and discovered that there are multiple reasons for the film to be kept on hold and one of the key reasons is financials not falling in place.

SCOOP The REAL REASON why Karan Johar put Tiger Shroff-Rashmika Mandanna starrer Screw Dheela on the back burner

According to our sources, Tiger Shroff had done the paperwork for Screw Dheela for a sum of Rs. 35 crores, and once the film landed itself in the market for sale, it couldn't find any respectable buyers at the asking price. "In today's world, actors charging such big bucks makes a film financially unviable. Profit sharing is the way to go," revealed a source. "When Karan went to Tiger to express his concern, the actor didn't agree to lower the price. Karan was keen to get Tiger on board for a sum around the Rs. 20 crore mark, but Tiger and his team stuck to Rs. 35 crores. Their idea was - one failure can't impact his positioning to this extent," the source told Bollywood Hungama.

"The budget of Screw Dheela was falling in the range of Rs. 140 crores, and that was without taking into account the print and publicity costs. Hence, after all the attempts to salvage the scenario, Dharma Productions finally decided to shelve the film for the time being. If the market improves, the film will start next year," the source concluded.

Screw Dheela was directed by Shashank Khaitan with Rashmika Mandanna as the actress.

Rajat Sood from Delhi wins India’s Laughter Champion

Earlier this weekend, Sony Entertainment Television’s ongoing comedy reality show, India’s Laughter Champion came to a befitting end. The ‘Laughter Ka Grand Finale’, which was hosted on August 27, saw the Top 5 finalists - Nitesh Shetty from Mumbai, Jayvijay Sachan from Mumbai, Vighnesh Pande from Mumbai, Himanshu Bawandar from Ujjain, and Rajat Sood from Delhi perform one last time in front of the judges, Archana Puran Singh, and Shekhar Suman. Making the evening even more special were the cast of Liger – Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey who were promoting their film and present at the finale was also a special guest, that is Sunil Grover in the guise of Rinku Bhabhi.

Rajat Sood from Delhi wins India’s Laughter Champion

As the country waited in anticipation to know who from amongst the Top 5 finalists will be declared the winner, Rajat Sood from Delhi was awarded the coveted trophy of India’s Laughter Champion. While Nitesh Shetty from Mumbai was declared as the first runner-up, owing to the tough fight between Jayvijay Sachan and Vighnesh Pande, the two were declared as the second runners-up in a tie.

Winner Rajat was awarded a cheque of Rs. 25 lakhs. Speaking about the win, Rajat said, “I was overwhelmed when the celebrations began, and my name was announced. For a few minutes, I had to absorb the fact that I had won. I had planned this moment in my head multiple times but, the reality left me awestruck. It was also a milestone moment as I was performing in front of my parents for the first time in life. They had only previously seen my content online and they would not really bring it up with me or discuss it with me. Their presence was a blessing. Some decisions that come instinctively to you are signals from the universe, which tell us that good things are about to happen. My father is very happy and I could see that pride in his eyes. I am now open to opportunities and shows that will come my way. Now I have to work even harder, and I have a fire inside me to do better. I will try to read more and equip myself to become a better artist.

Judge of India’s Laughter Champion, Shekhar Suman said, “It was a well-deserved win! Rajat fought very hard, and it was a very tough competition. I think Rajat had a very distinct flavour of his own and he comes across as a very endearing guy. He is a millennial, far too young, but he has the wisdom of a 40–50-year-old. He is extremely charming and spontaneous. So, when you watch him with his stage presence, with his spontaneity, his content, his timing, ease, confidence, all of that is a sure-fire recipe for a winner. “

On the other hand, the other judge of India’s Laughter Champion, Archana Puran Singh shared, “Rajat Sood captured our attention with every passing episode. From the very beginning, I knew there was something special about him that got us to notice him and when he started performing more and more, he started standing out even more. He has a “lover boy” image and with the way he uses the essence of poetry in his comedy, I thought he was the perfect candidate to win the show. I saw his journey closely, and I was so hopeful. His finale act was brilliant. The consistency of his performances, his pleasant appearance, his presence on stage, his haazir-jawaabi, his witty responses, and his very chocolate boy look - all go to make him a winner.”

‘Comedy’ is a word that is known universally but, with Rajat Sood infusing ‘poetry’ in his comedy acts, he aptly earned the title of ‘Pomedy.’

Liger producer Charmme Kaur talks about films’ performance at the box office; says films like Karthikeya 2 did well

Liger, which hit the theatres on August 25, was produced by Karan Johar in association with Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur. The latter recently spoke about the performance of films in general at the box office. The producer’s opinion is that considering the easy availability of content for the audiences, movie makers should create films that entice them into coming to theatres. She also gave examples of how well South films like Kartikeya 2, Sita Ramam, and Bimbisara performed at the box office.

Liger producer Charmme Kaur talks about films’ performance at the box office; says films like Karthikeya 2 did well

Speaking about it to Free Press Journal, Charmme Kaur said, “Definitely, people have access to better content in one click just by sitting at home. The whole family can watch the biggest budget films on television, and until you don’t really excite them, they aren’t coming to the theatres. But, this is not the case in Bollywood. In August, three Telugu films - Bimbisara, Sita Ramam, and Karthikeya 2 - did phenomenally well, which made Rs. 150–170 crores. It happened in the same country. It is difficult to understand since it doesn’t mean people in the South are crazy for films. It is a scary and depressing situation.”

On the other hand, she also spoke about the delay in the release of Liger. She revealed that they had unanimously decided that the film will have a theatrical release and also added that it felt like it was their responsibility to let films like RRR and Pushpa release before. She shared, “We started the first schedule of Liger in January 2020, we met Karan Johar in 2019, and it has come out in 2022. We held back from coming to theatres for three years as we were extremely confident that Liger was a theatrical release irrespective of the first and second lockdowns, third wave, or theatres opening to 50% occupancy. It was our responsibility to let other major films, such as RRR and Pushpa: The Rise, come out first. Then, we lost summer and rain arrived, so we had to release on August 25. We faced constant hurdles, but we never gave up.”

Liger marks the Bollywood debut of Vijay Deverakonda and is the first pan-India film of Ananya Panday. The film is directed by Puri Jagannadh and it released on August 25 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Amitabh Bachchan speaks about his COVID-19 quarantine; says he’s been wiping the floor, cleaning bathroom and doing household chores by himself

Right amid his shoot schedule, Amitabh Bachchan took to social media to reveal that he has tested COVID positive and that he has quarantined himself from any association with the public. His announcement came in earlier this week, after which, many fans expressed concern over his health. However, the superstar recently took to his blog, where he assured his fans that he is recouping well but along with the update, the actor also mentioned how he doesn’t work with a team, who does all his chores for him. He mentioned that he has been doing all the household chores by himself as he has quarantined himself and is even responding to phone calls and emails personally.

Amitabh Bachchan speaks about his COVID-19 quarantine; says he’s been wiping the floor, cleaning bathroom and doing household chores by himself

Amitabh Bachchan started his blog saying, “So the entire day is filled with time and timeless memories of the past and the present and a few thoughts for the future .. a process which never is given any consideration in the hectic schedules that we follow .. Most of the time an entire team is set aside by individuals facing such encumbrances .. but choosing a team is a work of art - an artwork that requires another team .. ! issues then are endless and it has been noticed , at least by your Blogmaestra that self help is beyond all teamwork .. By the time you start preparing the briefing or educating the team, you might as well just get up and do it yourself .. it is the most satisfying and efficient working of all workings ..”

“They that have worked with you for long notice and learn your movements habits and likes dislikes as any other .. but the self knows better than any other .. so .. Rather than waste time and energy on disciplining a fresh entrant in his or her training, it may be perhaps prudent to educate the self ..  and no where is this more prominent and in execution than the times of ‘isolation’ for the dread of the ViD 19 , or to be more precise , its prevailing variant ..,” said yet another excerpt from the blog.

“Suddenly the exercise of making your own bed, cleaning your bath and toilet , wiping the floor, switching on the required plugs and switches , making your own snack and drink ( tea and the coffee ) , folding and setting up the cupboard with your clothing , responding personally to calls and mobile responses , drafting your own letters .. and submitting yourself to the medication prescription by the doctors without the assist of a nursing staff .. ALL .. is what life in these times is made of ..,” the actor wrote.

“And it is the most enjoyable and satisfying experience of them all.. The diminishing on the reliance of your staff  .. and more importantly the realisation, as I have submitted many times before, what your staff go through during an entire day .. gaining thereby the respect that should be theirs .. So .. to get back to the illness .. the feel of the ‘feelings’ is in its stable state .. which in present circumstances is the best that one can do , or should .. One could say , and is often tempted to also, to announce betterment or even more , and find that the very next day your statement being overtaken by quite the opposite .. best then to be in reserve .. in restraint .. in quiet appreciation for those that send wishes, grant them the gratitude they deserve .. and breathe !” he concluded.

John Abraham -Shah Rukh Khan’s shirtless faceoff in Pathaan

‘Hero’ Shah Rukh Khan and ‘Villain’ John Abraham are getting ready for the fight of the year in Pathaan. Apparently their climactic faceoff in Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan will be a fist-to-fist combat between Khan and Abraham, thereby making this the first onscreen action sequence where a shirtless Shah Rukh will step on camera.

John Abraham -Shah Rukh Khan’s shirtless faceoff in Pathaan

Incidentally John has as important a role as Shah Rukh in Pathaan. Says director Siddharth Anand, “John Abraham is THE antagonist, THE villain of Pathaan. I have always believed in the fact that the villain’s projection should be as big, if not bigger than that of the hero’s. Only when the villain is massive, can the tussle between them be spectacular.”

About the confrontation between the two stars Anand reveals, “We have an extraordinary battle when SRK takes on John! We wanted to present John in a super slick avatar.”

The director says the first looks of the actors are teasing people into the world of Pathaan. “The first looks of SRK, Deepika Padukone and John, truly represent the zone we want the audiences to view the film in. People have now just got a taste of the world of Pathaan. This truly is just the tip of the iceberg and I can assure you that nothing can prepare you for the action spectacle that is coming your way.”
