Actor and producer Harman Baweja is reportedly a father of two! According to media reports, Baweja and his wife, nutritionist Sasha Ramchandani, recently welcomed their second child.

The couple maintains a private life, and there has been no official confirmation from them regarding the birth. However, multiple reports suggest they had their first child, a baby boy, in December 2022. Now, the reports claim the couple has been blessed with a baby girl in March 2024.

Back in February 2024, Bollywood Hungama reported that Varun Dhawan and Shashank Khaitan were teaming up for the third time after the success of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. This time, they're bringing a fresh twist with Janhvi Kapoor joining the party in Dharma Productions' upcoming film, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. The official announcement for the film dropped the same month, with an anticipated release date set for April 18th, 2025. This collaboration marks a reunion for Dhawan and Kapoor, who previously shared the screen in 2023's Bawaal.

But the casting doesn't stop there! The film boasts an exciting ensemble cast. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf have been roped in to play pivotal roles alongside the lead duo. The insider revealed, “It’s a pure family entertainer with romance in its backdrop, much like the kind of films that Shashank has made over the years.”

The source further elaborated that the film aligns perfectly with Dharma Productions' signature style – a vibrant celebration of love with music, larger-than-life sets, and a stellar cast. The source added, “The premise of SSKTK is very close to the kind of films that Dharma is known for as it celebrates love with colour, music, scale, and a strong star cast.”

The production is gearing up for a quick start with filming set to commence within two weeks. The initial schedule will kick off in Mumbai, followed by a picturesque shoot in Rajasthan. International locations might also be incorporated. Interestingly, the makers intend to wrap up filming by the end of 2024.

Shashank Khaitan's last directorial venture was Govinda Naam Mera, a Disney+ Hotstar release starring Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, and Kiara Advani.

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan juggling the upcoming masala action film Baby John directed by Atlee Kumar and Kalees, slated for release on May 31st, 2024. This will be followed by David Dhawan's comedy film later this year.

Ranveer Singh and Prasanth Varma's next titled Rakshas; mythological film set in pre-Independence era: Report

Ranveer Singh is adding another exciting project to his already packed slate. Following Singham Again and Don 3 already on the cards, and rumours of him portraying the superhero Shaktimaan, reports claim that he is collaborating with Prasanth Varma, the director behind the recent box office success, HanuMan. Varma has allegedly approached Singh for a big-budget period film steeped in Indian mythology.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Mythri Movie Makers will bankroll this project. Sources close to the development have shed some light on the project, tentatively titled Rakshas. Apparently, this film is part of a larger Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe, where the director strategically introduces characters before uniting them in a grand finale. A source revealed, “Ranveer is blown away by the vision and long-term plans that his director has for the universe and is excited to embark on the journey of Rakshas soon.”

The pre-production seems to be progressing smoothly. The script, screenplay, and even pre-visualization are reportedly complete. The team is currently finalizing shooting schedules. Furthermore, the source added, “Ranveer has met Prasanth Varma and the team multiple times over the last few weeks and has already done a Pooja for the film on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti in Hyderabad.”

Rakshas is touted as a period film set in the pre-independence era, boasting a mythological backdrop. Intriguingly, Singh's character is said to possess shades of a negative force. The specifics of his character arc remain under wraps, but sources hint at a character dealing with dark figures from Indian mythology.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Ranveer Singh is also collaborating with Aditya Dhar, on another project currently in pre-production. The shooting schedules for both Rakshas and Dhar's films are expected to be finalized within the next two weeks, with filming potentially commencing in the latter half of 2024.

Imran Khan to make comeback after 9 years with Aamir Khan-produced Happy Patel; Vir Das to direct first feature film: Report

Imran Khan is set to make a grand return to Bollywood after a hiatus of nearly nine years. This comeback marks a special reunion, as Khan will be collaborating with his maternal uncle, Aamir Khan, who played a pivotal role in launching his career. The actor has reportedly signed a quirky comedy titled Happy Patel which will be helmed by Vir Das.

According to a report in Peeping Moon, the film will be produced by Aamir Khan Productions, signifying a full-circle moment for the actor. Aamir first introduced Imran to the silver screen as a child artist in the 1988 film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. Two decades later, in 2008, Aamir Khan Productions launched Imran as a leading man in the successful rom-com Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na.

The details about Happy Patel remain under wraps, but sources describe it as a laugh riot set in a unique yet familiar world. The film's tone is said to be reminiscent of Imran's earlier successful comedies, which often blended humour with relatable characters and heartwarming stories. The shooting of the film has already begun in Goa.

Adding another exciting layer to the project is the directorial debut of Vir Das. Khan and Das previously co-starred in the critically acclaimed 2011 black comedy Delhi Belly. While Das has experience of directing a web series (yet to be released), Happy Patel will be his first feature film directorial venture.

The cast boasts further star power. Mona Singh, known for working with Aamir Khan in 3 Idiots and Laal Singh Chaddha, will play a pivotal character. Happy Patel replaces Khan's initially planned web series with Abbas Tyrewala. Shraddha Kapoor is gearing up for a busy year! After a single release in 2023 with the romantic comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, the actress has several exciting projects in the pipeline. In a recent fan interaction, Kapoor hinted at venturing into new genres, including a mythological adaptation and a time-travel film. Now, it seems she might be adding another project to her list – a drama co-produced by her rumoured beau, Rahul Mody.

According to a report in Mid-day, the details about the drama are under wraps. However, sources reveal that Kapoor has expressed interest in the central idea and is considering co-producing the film alongside Mody's production house. Mody, who co-wrote Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, has sparked dating rumours with Kapoor in recent times. A source revealed to the publication, “The talks are in the nascent stage, so it can’t be determined whether this will be her next project. But Shraddha has liked the central idea. She plans to co-produce it along with Rahul’s production house.”

Kapoor has Stree 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2018 horror-comedy Stree, lined up for release this year. The source further adds, “Stree 2 is one of the year’s most-awaited films. Going forward, Shraddha wants to carefully select her projects, choosing ones that evoke a similar kind of buzz. She also doesn’t want long gaps between her films.”

CBFC cuts male nudity shot in Challengers but in a RARE instance, retains Zendaya’s see-through bra explicit sex scene

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), as is well known, often heavily comes down on explicit intimate scenes even after passing films with an ‘A’ certificate. As a result, moviegoers in India, who ventured out to watch the latest Hollywood release Challengers, were stunned to see that two intense sex scenes were left untouched by the Censors.

The film stars Zendaya, of Spider-Man, Dune and Euphoria fame, and is also one of the producers of the film, which also features Josh O'Connor and Mike Faist. The film caught the attention of viewers across the globe last year when the first teaser dropped depicting Zendaya having a threesome with Josh and Mike.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The CBFC’s Examining Committee didn’t touch this much-talked-about scene. Moreover, another intimate scene, between Zendaya and a male actor, is much more explicit. It even features Zendaya wearing a see-through bra. There were fears that there would be a repeat of what happened during Oppenheimer (2023), when Florence Pugh’s nude scene was edited with a CGI-made black dress. Thankfully, nothing of that sort needed to be done for this film. The scene was passed; not a single second was cut.”

But the CBFC did ask for some changes. The source continued, “There’s a scene where a male actor shows his bare buttocks. The CBFC refused to pass the scene. Hence, the studio zoomed in on the male actor to hide his bare behind. A similar modification was done for another scene where a character in the dressing room walks around naked while two characters in the background are having a shower.”

Apart from these changes, the cut list of the CBFC suggests that an abusive word was muted while the cigarette brand was asked to be blurred. Once these changes were made, Challengers was passed with an ‘A’ certificate. The certificate was handed over on April 25, that is, just a day before the film’s release.

Challengers is about a former tennis player who is now a coach for her husband. Things take a turn when they bump into their old friend after years.

Actor Sahil Khan gets arrested by Mumbai cyber cell in connection to the Mahadev Betting App

Best known for films like Style and Excuse Me, actor Sahil Khan, who is now an influencer, has been arrested by the Mumbai Police in connection with the Mahadev betting app case. The arrest was made by the Mumbai cyber cell’s Special Investigating Team (SIT) in Chhattisgarh after the court rejected the pre-arrest bail plea, followed by asserting that Khan is the co-owner of the app.

Previously, the SIT had summoned Sahil and three others for questioning in December 2023, but he failed to appear. Followed by that, he applied for a pre-arrest bail which has now been rejected by the Bombay High Court. Despite several allegations were made against the Style actor in regards to the app, Sahil denied any direct involvement with the betting platform and continued to assert that he was merely a brand promoter endorsing The Lion Book brand under contract with M/s. Isports247. However, the police has decided to stick with their allegations that he was a co-owner of the app, following which he is being brought to Mumbai via Raipur and is expected to be produced before the court this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Sahil has maintained that he signed a contract with the company for 24 months, for posting promotional videos on his social media under a fixed remuneration of Rs. 3 lakhs which will be paid monthly. After the actor gave his statement about being a brand promoter, he applied for a pre-bail plea which was, however, dismissed by the court, as they cited his alleged direct involvement in the illegal operation.

Earlier In 2023, the crime branch, investigating the Mahadev betting app case, had summoned Sahil Khan and three others to record their statements on December 15. However, Sahil failed to cooperate but remained active on social media, posting photos and videos, further drawing flak for his non-compliant behaviour.

On the work front, while Sahil Khan has stayed away from films, he kicked off his entrepreneurial fitness venture Divine Nutrition, which offers fitness supplements.

Salman Khan-Firing Case: Mumbai police charges suspects under MCOCA, reveals reports

The firing incident at Galaxy Apartment has been undergoing significant developments lately. Initially, the Mumbai police issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi after he is accused of being the man behind the recent attack on Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Now, recent reports reveal that the authorities have invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in connection with the incident.

Following the firing incident outside his apartment in Mumbai, multiple investigative teams have been actively pursuing leads. After earlier reports suggested the Mumbai police have named two suspects Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, recently two alleged arms suppliers were identified as Sonu Subhash Chander and Anuj Thapan, in connection to the case. As per reports from ANI, all of them have been charged under MCOCA. Officers were quoted in the recent report where they confirmed the developments in the case and added, “All accused have been booked under Sections 3(1)(2), 3(1)(3), and 3(1)(4) of MCOCA,”.

Subsequently, after Anmol Bishnoi purportedly claimed responsibility for the shooting in a Facebook post, law enforcement authorities issued another Look Out Circular (LOC) against him. Furthermore, with the gathering of substantial evidence, Lawrence Bishnoi has been designated as the primary suspect in the case, despite his imprisonment.

Following the arrest of the accused, law enforcement authorities have also made a few other breakthroughs in the investigation which includes discovering a firearm and live cartridges in the Tapi River in Gujarat, along with footprints of one of the suspects, Vicky, which were also traced during their attempt to flee to Bhuj, Gujarat.

Besides these, the Delhi Crime Branch officials also reportedly conducted a three-hour long interrogation of Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta with their custody being extended from April 25 to April 29. Meanwhile, as per reports from ANI, the Esplanade Court in Mumbai has granted Mumbai Crime Branch custody of both arms suppliers until April 30.

Ranveer Singh approached by Prasanth Varma for his next; report

Amid rumours of Ranveer Singh playing superhero Shaktimaan and buzz about many of his upcoming projects, yet another set of reports have revealed that the actor will be collaborating with HanuMan filmmaker Prasanth Varma. The latter recently gained quite a bit of fame at the box office with his superhero Pan Indian mythological fantasy entertainer gaining love from audiences across the country. After the filmmaker announced his next titled Jai Hanuman, now reports have it that he has approached Ranveer Singh for a film.

However, while sources assert that the filmmaker and actor are looking for a collaboration, there is no clarity on whether Ranveer Singh has been approached for Jai Hanuman or any other upcoming project of Prasanth Varma. As per a source quoted in Hindustan Times, "Yes it's true that Prasanth approached Ranveer for a film in his cinematic universe. It will be his immediate next project after HanuMan. Ranveer is interested and it's almost confirmed but nothing is finalised yet. An official announcement will be made once it's finalised. Mythri Movie Makers will be backing it.”

Talking about Jai Hanuman, the announcement was made earlier during the Ram Mandir ceremony in Ayodhya in February, followed by the success of HanuMan. There were also reports which suggested that KGF fame Yash too is being considered for the role. However, no official announcement has been made on the same. On the other hand, the filmmaker has also assured fans of HanuMan that the adventure-fantasy drama will return with a second part, starring Teja Sajja.

As for Ranveer Singh, the actor is gearing up for the release Singham Again, where he will be in a special appearance in his role as Simmba alongside his wife Deepika Padukone, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Arjun Kapoor. Besides that, he is also expected to start work on his much-awaited Don 3 co-starring Kiara Advani.

Arshad Warsi to kickstart shooting for Jolly LLB 3 in Rajasthan, reveals source

Known for his impeccable comic timing and high entertainment quotient, the ‘Jolly’ actor Arshad Warsi is all set to return as the famous lawyer yet again. It is a known fact that the year 2024 has kick started on a great note for the star and amid his lineup, he will also be doing interesting projects, out of which two of them are with Akshay Kumar – namely, the multi-starrer Welcome To The Jungle, and of course, the much-exciting Jolly LLB 3. As per a source, Arshad is set to kickstart the next shooting schedule soon and that too in Rajasthan.

In fact, sources have stated that this will be a key schedule for the film but it is yet to be known if his co-star Akshay Kumar, who too is stuck between multitude projects, will be joining him for the same. Confirming about the Munnabhai actor joining the film’s team for his shoot, a source close to the development revealed, "Arshad Warsi will begin a month-long schedule in Rajasthan next month. The pre-production work on the location has already begun."

Speaking of Jolly LLB 3, the film has sparked much excitement among fans as it will be for the first time where they will witness both the Jollys aka Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar coming together. As per reports, it is said that in the third installment, both the lawyers will be at loggerheads, whereas Saurabh Shukla, who too has been a part of this courtroom comedy, will be seen playing the judge yet again. Makers have reportedly finalized a relevant case too.

The film, directed by Subhash Kapoor, is expected to go on floors in May. It is said that Jolly LLB 3 will be shot throughout 2024 and it might hit the big screens in 2025. Apart from this, no announcement has been made about the film's leading lady and we hear that the makers are still in the process of locking the same.

Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan starrer Khel Khel Mein to release on September 6

Not too long ago, a film titled Khel Khel Mein was announced featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead along with Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, Pragya Jaiswal and Fardeen Khan in equally pivotal roles. Touted to be a comedy-drama, the film promises to be a perfect blend of humour and emotions and will be directed by Mudassar Aziz. Now, release date has been locked for the same and it has been learnt that the movie is all set to hit the screens on September 6, 2024.

Sharing the same on social media, the official Instagram page posted a photo featuring the entire cast, namely, Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, and others and wrote in the post, “Get ready for a rollercoaster ride of laughter, drama & loads of fun! Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor recently opened up about her journey of adjusting to the changes that occurred after the birth of her son Vaayu. Known for her confident and self-assured demeanor, Sonam shared that while she has always embraced herself for who she is, the experience of gaining 32 kilos post-childbirth was quite traumatising for her.

On the podcast Fashionably Pernia, the actor candidly discussed the changes she made in her fashion choices after giving birth. Sonam said, Sonam said, “I gained 32 kilos. Honestly, initially I was traumastised. You are so obsessed with your baby, you are really not thinking about working out, eating right. It took me a year and a half. I took it really slow, you have to be slow because you have to adjust to the new you.”

She added, “Everything in your life changes. Your relationship with yourself changes, with your husband it changes, everything changes. You are never going to feel the same about your body. I have always accepted myself for who I am and I was like I need to accept this version of myself.”

Former Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah star Gurucharan Singh goes missing

Former Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh, who played Roshan Singh Sodhi, has reportedly gone missing, leaving fans and colleagues deeply concerned. The actor was last seen at the Delhi airport on April 22, where he was scheduled to board a flight to Mumbai. However, he never reached his destination or returned home, prompting his family to file a missing complaint.

The complaint, lodged by the actor’s father, describes his son's disappearance, stating that he left for Mumbai on April 22 but never arrived, and his phone has since been unreachable. Notably, Singh is described as mentally stable, adding to the mystery surrounding his sudden disappearance.

Reportedly, it reads, “My son Gurucharan Singh, Age: 50 years, had left at 8:30 am on April 22nd to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He didn't reach Mumbai, neither has he returned home, and his phone is not reachable. He is mentally stable, and we had been searching for him but now he has been missing!"

Speaking of his social media presence, Gurucharan has 1 million followers on Instagram. His shared the post four days ago, dedicated to his father on the occasion of the latter’s birthday. Singh's sudden disappearance has left the entertainment industry and fans in shock, with many expressing their concern and support on social media.

Exhibitors FUME as prominent critic and scores of influencers watch Monkey Man on pirated copies and spread the word about it: “These are PARASITES that need to be amputated”

Bollywood Hungama has been consistently reporting about the release schedule of Dev Patel’s acclaimed film Monkey Man in India. Initially scheduled for a release on April 19, it was pushed due to delay in getting a clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Meanwhile, reports came in that Monkey Man has been banned in the country. Bollywood Hungama debunked this rumour last week and added that the CBFC members are yet to see the film.

Monkey Man had a release in most markets on April 5 and earlier this week, it was made available on Amazon Prime Video in international markets on rent. As expected, high quality, pirated prints flooded the internet following the rental release. As per reports, Warner Bros and Universal Pictures, the local distributors of the film, tried their best to pull down links. X, formerly, Twitter, even sent copyright violation notices to those who shared the Google Drive link of the film.

But the damage is down. Monkey Man is freely available on illegal film websites and on the app Telegram. However, what has shocked the industry and exhibitors is that a prominent critic reviewed the film on a popular website. The critic also tweeted that he saw the film neither in cinemas or streaming but at a ‘secret third place’. A few websites have collated tweets of people who saw the film on pirated websites. Some prominent people on X with massive following have also recommended Monkey Man big time, adding that it has zero chance of releasing in India and hence, one must watch it ‘you know where’.

A source from the exhibition sector told Bollywood Hungama, “It is clear that these people didn’t fly down to Dubai or Bangkok to catch Monkey Man. They saw it illegally. There’s a lot of curiosity surrounding the film in India, especially with reports that it is very controversial. People want to know that ‘aisa kya hai film mein?’. It’s a case of forbidden fruit.”

A duty manager sighed, “People fear that it’ll never get a release in India. Hence, they have started watching it on torrent. This seemed like a film that would have pulled audience to the cinemas in the otherwise dry month of May. Now, we have lost hope. What’s saddening is apne log supporting piracy openly.”

Another exhibitor, meanwhile, also put the blame on the studio, “Firstly, they announced April 19 as the release date when it released worldwide on April 5. On top of that, they knew that the film has controversial content. They should have got the censor done in advance. I am sure they also knew that in three weeks, Monkey Man will be out on PVOD, from where pirated links will emerge. Hence, it’s a case of bad planning and we are going to suffer because there’s hardly anything exciting to play in cinemas. I doubt Monkey Man will now get the kind of footfalls it might have possibly got in April.”

When asked if it is fair on the part of critics and prominent industry members to watch Monkey Man and recommend it to their followers, film exhibitor and distributor Akshaye Rathi minced no words, “I don’t know whether it is fair or unfair. But what I do know is that as per the Indian laws, it is a criminal offence. If the film has been consumed through a pirated platform, then the authorities and law enforcement agencies need to take a note of it. Whatever are the charges and the penalties applicable for the consumption of piracy, need to be levied on them. We are in an industry where crores of rupees and jobs are lost due to piracy. And if people who are in the entertainment or media ecosystem are going to consume films on piracy and propagate it, then pardon my language, but these are parasites that need to be amputated.”

Meanwhile, as per sources, Monkey Man’s censor process is still on and hence, it’s still not clear when the film will release in India. An industry insider chose to be optimistic, “I haven’t seen the film but from what I heard, Monkey Man is meant for the big screen. So, people might still come in big numbers to catch the film.”

Salman Khan Firing Case: Police arrest two gun suppliers; custody of accused extended till April 29: Reports

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been in the headlines as two assailants opened fire outside his Bandra residence on April 14th. The Mumbai Police have made significant progress in the case, arresting not only the shooters but also the alleged suppliers of the firearms.

According to a report in India Today, police tracked down two individuals, Sonu Subhash Chander (37) and Anuj Thapan (32), in the northern state of Punjab. These men are believed to be the suppliers of the weapons used in the attack.

The Mumbai Police, working with their counterparts in Gujarat, apprehended the two gunmen, Vicky Sahab Gupta and Sagar Shrijogendra Pal, shortly after the incident. Further investigation led the Mumbai Police to recover two pistols, magazines, and bullets from Gujarat's Tapi River, believed to be the weapons used in the attack.

On April 25, PTI reported that the two men arrested in connection with the recent firing incident have been remanded in police custody until April 29. Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21), both hailing from Bihar, were produced before a metropolitan magistrate court after their initial remand period concluded. The report stated that the Mumbai Police requested a four-day extension of their custody, citing the need for further investigation into the motive behind the attack.

Advocate Amit Mishra, representing the accused, argued against the extension, stating that the weapon used in the firing had already been recovered and his clients were cooperating fully with the investigation. Following arguments from both sides, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate L S Padhen granted the police request, extending Gupta and Pal's custody until April 29.

The responsibility for the firing was claimed by Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The Bishnoi gang has reportedly been involved in a long-standing feud with Salman Khan, stemming from a blackbuck poaching case from 1998.

Following the incident, authorities enhanced his existing Y-plus category security, one of the highest security details offered in India. Additionally, Khan was granted permission to carry a personal firearm and reportedly acquired an armoured vehicle for further protection. Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan confirmed to reunite after 14 years for a horror fantasy film

Filmmaker Priyadarshan has confirmed that he is reuniting with Akshay Kumar after 14 years. The duo had worked together on Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The filmmaker said that they will be working on a horror fantasy film with elements of humour. The project will be backed by Ektaa R Kapoor.

Priyadarshan told Hindustan Times, “Now that I am done with my docu-series on the Ram Mandir’s history, my most important film on which I am beginning work is the one with Akshay, produced by Ekta Kapoor. It is a horror fantasy with humour.”

When asked if it's like Bhool Bhulaiyaa, the filmmaker said,  “That was a psychological thriller, but this one will be fantasy, in the backdrop of black magic, the oldest superstition of India. It is always a pleasure collaborating with Akshay. From our first film to this one, it has always turned out well with him, he handles the emotions so well. I was waiting for a good subject to get back with him, and this one I feel will be that.”

Tamannaah Bhatia summoned by Maharashtra Cyber Cell for allegedly promoting betting app: Report

Popular actress Tamannaah Bhatia has been summoned by the Maharashtra cyber cell for allegedly promoting the Fairplay app, a subsidiary of the controversial Mahadev online gaming and betting application. Bhatia is required to appear before the cyber cell next week to provide a statement as a witness.

According to an extensive report by NDTV, the investigation centers around allegations that the Fairplay app facilitated illegal betting on the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket matches. A broadcaster filed a complaint against the app for illegally streaming some of the IPL matches. This adds to the ongoing case involving the Mahadev app, which has been under scrutiny by law enforcement agencies for over a year.

Fairplay operates as a betting exchange platform, offering a variety of sports and entertainment gambling options. Their website highlights Cricket, Football, and Tennis as their most popular categories. Notably, the platform boasts live streaming of all sports matches, aiming to entice users to "watch and win at the same time."

However, Fairplay's connection to its parent app, Mahadev, raises serious concerns. Mahadev has gained notoriety for providing platforms for illegal betting on various live games, including cricket, poker, card games, and more. Last year, actors Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, who had endorsed Mahadev in advertisements, were summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in relation to the app's activities. Ranveer Singh Deepfake: Maharashtra Cyber Cell registers FIR against X user for fabricated AI-video

Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh has found himself embroiled in a disturbing trend as he became the latest victim of deepfake technology. A recent viral video purportedly showed Singh endorsing a political party, raising concerns about the manipulation of digital content using artificial intelligence. The deepfake video, which circulated widely online, utilized genuine footage from Singh's visit to Varanasi but replaced his voice with an AI-generated replica. This deceptive technique has become increasingly prevalent, allowing individuals to create convincing yet fabricated videos that can misrepresent public figures and spread misinformation.

In response to this incident, the Maharashtra police's cyber cell has taken action by registering an FIR against an individual identified as @sujataindia1st for allegedly uploading the deepfake video. The complaint was lodged by Singh's father, Jagjit Singh Bhavnani, who expressed concern over the potential damage to his son's reputation.

According to PTI, as per the FIR, Ranveer Singh in his speech said, “It is Modi ji's purpose and goal to celebrate our rich culture, heritage, history, and legacy because we are moving ahead towards modernity very fast but we should never forget our roots, our cultural heritage.”

However, X (formerly Twitter) account holder @sujataindia1st made a deepfake video in which the actor is heard saying it is “Modi ji's purpose and goal to celebrate our painful life, fear, and unemployment because we are moving ahead towards injustice but we should never stop asking for our development and justice, vote for justice, vote for Congress,” as per the FIR.

According to reports, the FIR was filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 417 (cheating), 468 (forgery for the purpose of cheating), and 469 (forgery for the purpose of harming reputation), as well as provisions of the Information Technology Act.

The controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh's deepfake video comes on the heels of a similar incident involving another Bollywood superstar, Aamir Khan. The city police had recently registered an FIR against an unidentified person for circulating a deepfake video purportedly showing Khan endorsing a political party. Shah Rukh Khan to play a raw and ruthless Don in action-thriller King: Report

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up to play a gritty don in his upcoming film, King, which promises to be a raw and rustic action-thriller. With this film, his daughter Suhana Khan will make her silver screen debut after OTT debut in The Archies last December. Khan won't just be a powerful underworld figure; he'll also have a complex moral compass, with "shades of grey" that will intrigue audiences.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, a source revealed that Khan will play an intriguing role, which is a clear nod to his past characters with darker sides, like his iconic roles in Darr, Anjaam, and Raees. “Shah Rukh Khan is making films for the audience and is well aware of their urge to see him in shades of grey. King is his passion project and he has been meticulously working on all aspects of the project with Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh. They have collectively carved a very cool, full of attitude and swag character with shades of grey for SRK in King,” said the source.

King is reportedly a passion project for Khan, and he's been heavily involved in its development. He's working closely with directors Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh to craft a character that's both cool and ruthless.  The source revealed, “While the character designing is already done, Siddharth Anand is presently working on the action blocks with international stunt teams. Sujoy, on the other hand, is getting the dialogue draft ready, whereas SRK is overseeing the creative process and training with Suhana on some new-age action sequences.”

But the surprises don't stop there. The source also hinted at a new look for Khan in the film. He'll be sporting long hair and a beard, a departure from his usual clean-cut persona. While details about the plot are still under wraps, the report does say that King will be a fast-paced action thriller that tests the limits of survival. SRK will play the mentor, guiding a disciple through a dangerous world.  This disciple will be played by none other than Suhana Khan.

Over a week ago, Bollywood Hungama reported that Shah Rukh Khan himself is overseeing the creative process and even training with Suhana for some of the film's action sequences. Sujoy Ghosh and Siddharth Anand are planning to make a raw and rustic action film, King, on a mega budget of Rs. 200 crores. “King is an ambitious action film, unlike anyone's imagination. The team has been working on the pre-production for the last one year to ensure that all aspects are covered in the right way - from script, to scale and action. Red Chillies Entertainment has always mounted world-class products and King will be no different as the banner is going all out to ensure a grand debut for Suhana Khan,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.

The source further informed that Siddharth Anand is in talks with stunt directors from the West to come on board King. “Siddharth Anand thinks internationally, and with SRK, he wants to make a global action thriller. He is designing stunts with the stunt experts from the West, and plans to shoot it as a hybrid of real action and VFX enhancements,” the source told us further.

EXCLUSIVE: Shoot of Ajay Devgn-starrer Raid 2 to complete next week; final schedule in Delhi

Ajay Devgn is on a roll this year. He began 2024 with a bang with the super-success of Shaitaan. He then followed it up with the universally acclaimed flick, Maidaan. Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn is all set to finish the shoot of one of his most awaited films, Raid 2. Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learned that the shoot will be completed by the end of April, that is next week.

A source told us, “The makers of Ajay Devgn-starrer Raid 2 will conclude filming by the end of April. The film is currently in its final shooting schedule in Lucknow, followed by a two-day shoot in Delhi, where the team will wrap the shoot.”

Interestingly, Raid 2 went on floors early this year, on January 6, 2024. The source continued, “The makers had meticulously planned the shoot. Everything went as per the plan and in less than four months, the shooting will conclude.” Besides Delhi and Lucknow, Raid 2 was also filmed in Mumbai and Rajasthan.

Raid 2 is the sequel to the successful 2018 film, Raid. It featured Ajay Devgn as the honest IRS Officer Amay Patnaik who takes on a corrupt politician. In Raid 2, Ajay reprises the role of Amay Patnaik as he’s on a quest for a new target. While Ileana DCruz played the female lead and Saurabh Shukla was the antagonist in Raid, Raid 2 stars Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh as the actress and villain respectively. Rajat Kapoor also features in a pivotal role in the sequel.

Both Raid and Raid 2 are directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. It is all set to release in cinemas on November 15 this year. Before Raid 2’s release, Ajay Devgn will have two more releases. Neeraj Pandey’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, co-starring Tabu, is expected to release in June or July. Singham Again, on the other hand, is reportedly releasing on Diwali.

Raid 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar. The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series and is a Panorama Studios production.

Amitabh Bachchan purchases 10,000 sq. ft. land in Alibaug for Rs. 10 crores

Amitabh Bachchan has made a significant investment in real estate by purchasing a 10,000 square foot plot of land in Alibaug, Maharashtra, near Mumbai. This acquisition took place in the A Alibaug project, a sprawling 20-acre plotted development launched in April last year. The transaction, reportedly valued at Rs. 10 crore, was completed with The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL) and as per sources, it was officially registered just last week.

Although there has been no official statement issued from The House of Abhinadan Lodha or from Amitabh Bachchan, sources have reportedly confirmed the details to the media. This is not the first time where Amitabh has been investing with the builders. In the past, the legendary actor also made a similar investment with the HoABL brand in their ‘The Sarayu’ project in Ayodhya. Big B is expected to have made a sizeable investment in this luxurious seven-star project which is currently under development in the picturesque city of Lord Ram.

As for Alibaug, the beachy town is known for its scenic beauty and proximity to Mumbai and has become a sought-after destination for both vacation homes and real estate investments. It seems to have caught the attention of many other celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, who also purchased a massive piece of farm-land worth Rs. 9.5 crores along with his daughter Suhana Khan in February 2024.

On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan too boasts of extensive investments within the city limits of Mumbai which includes three major bungalows in the plush area of suburban Mumbai – namely Pratiksha and Jalsa, wherein the former was reportedly gifted to Shweta Bachchan recently, and along with them, he also has Janak which is said to be used more as an office. Pankaj Tripathi’s brother-in-law Rajesh dies in road accident, sister Sarita critically injured: Reports

Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi has suffered a devastating loss. On Saturday, April 20, his brother-in-law, Rajesh Tiwari, passed away in a car accident that critically injured Tripathi's sister, Sarita Tiwari. The accident occurred near GT Road in Nirsa, Jharkhand, around 4 pm.

The couple, travelling from their hometown in Bihar to West Bengal, reportedly lost control of their car (WB44D-2899) and collided with a divider at high speed. The impact caused significant damage to the vehicle, with the front end sustaining extensive damage.

As per a report in Hindustan Times, with the help of local residents, police rushed both Rajesh and Sarita Tiwari to Dhanbad Medical College Hospital. Tragically, Rajesh Tiwari succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead by emergency room doctors. Sarita Tiwari, however, received emergency treatment and is currently in critical condition in the hospital's surgical ICU.

Rajesh Tiwari, who worked for the Indian Railways and was stationed in Chittaranjan, West Bengal, was reportedly returning home from his village in Bihar when the accident occurred. This news comes as another blow to Tripathi, who lost his father, Pandit Banaras Tiwari, in August 2023 at the age of 99.

Vanga hinted at an epic follow-up, stating, “This is going to be bigger and wilder than Animal,” according to E-Times. He added, “The shooting of the film will begin by 2026.” This news has action movie enthusiasts buzzing.

Released in December 2023, Animal explored a complex father-son dynamic. Ranbir delivered a powerful performance as Ranvijay, an anti-hero entangled in a toxic relationship with his father. Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri also played significant roles in the movie.

Animal achieved immense commercial success, grossing over Rs. 900 crores worldwide. However, it sparked controversy for its portrayal of women. Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 and Rowdy Rathore 2 scripts ready: Producer KK Radhamohan

The much-anticipated sequels to Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Akshay Kumar's Rowdy Rathore seem to be inching closer to reality. Producer KK Radhamohan provided updates on these projects while promoting Aayush Sharma's upcoming film Ruslaan in Hyderabad.

As per a report by Hindustan Times, in a recent interaction with the press, Radhamohan acknowledged the presence of renowned writer Vijayendra Prasad and disclosed that the writer has crafted a couple of compelling scripts for him. "Vijayendra Prasad has written two stories for me," he revealed, with Prasad acknowledging the statement with a smile. 

"One is Vikramarkudu 2, which is Rowdy Rathore 2 in Hindi. The subject is ready; we're just looking for a good cast now," Radhamohan added. Additionally, he hinted at a sequel to Bajrangi Bhaijaan, pending Salman Khan's approval. "He has also readied the script for Bhajrangi Bhaijaan 2. Soon, he'll narrate it to Salman bhai, and we'll see what happens next."

Salman Khan had previously hinted at a sequel for Bajrangi Bhaijaan during a promotional event for RRR in Mumbai back in 2021. Referring to his strong relationship with SS Rajamouli and his father, Salman stated, "I have a strong relationship with Rajamouli and his father, as he wrote Bajrangi Bhaijaan and soon we will be working together again for Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2."

Coming back to Ruslaan, helmed by Karan Lalit Butani, it is slated to release on April 26. Besides Aayush, the film also stars Sushrii Shreya Mishraa, Jagapathi Babu and Vidya Malvade.

MAMI Select shorts shot on iPhone and mentored by Vishal Bhardwaj, Vikramaditya Motwane, Rohan Sippy screened; deets inside

MAMI Mumbai Film Festival launched a special program ‘MAMI Select: Filmed on iPhone,’ last year during the festival, wherein a talented group of emerging filmmakers from MAMI Alumni were given the platform to reimagine traditional cinematic conventions by creating high-quality short films, shot on iPhone 15 Pro Max and edited on a MacBook Pro. Six months hence, these five shorts had an exclusive theatrical premiere that was attended by top talent from the industry such as Vishal Bhardwaj, Vikramaditya Motwane, Rohan Sippy, Shakun Batra, Radhika Apte, Shabana Azmi, Aditi Rao Hydari and fiancee Siddharth, Gul Panag, Jim Sarbh, Kabir Khan, Kiran Rao and Mouni Roy to name a few. The films are now exclusively streaming on MAMI Mumbai Film Festival Youtube channel.

The five young filmmakers, part of MAMI Select: Filmed on iPhone, represent the new generation of Indian cinema and its changing landscape. They challenged the norms and created a new form of narrative, both in terms of storytelling as well as the making of it. Vishal Bhardwaj, who in 2023 shot his award-winning short film ‘Fursat’ on iPhone; highly acclaimed writer, director, and producer Vikramaditya Motwane; and Rohan Sippy, who is known for his stylised films, mentored the five filmmakers: Archana Atul Phadke, Faraz Ali, Prateek Vats, Saumyananda Sahi, and Saurav Rai. Under the sharp guidance of the three stalwarts of Indian cinema, these young filmmakers were encouraged to push the creative boundaries of filmmaking and build strong narratives in a new cinematic format.

Commenting on this, Anupama Chopra, Festival Director, MAMI, said, "At MAMI, our aim is to create an ecosystem that facilitates independent filmmakers by creating collaboration opportunities for new work and showcasing it to a larger audience. MAMI Select—Filmed on iPhone—is an important initiative in that direction, and we cannot wait for the world to see these films made using iPhone and edited on MacBook Pro.”

Ace filmmaker, music director, and writer Vishal Bhardwaj shared his thoughts on the films screened: “It's exciting to be a part of the MAMI Select: Filmed on iPhone project and mentor some of the most talented next-gen filmmakers. While shooting ‘Fursat’ on my iPhone, I found it liberating to be able to change my setting or shoot canvas by simply lifting my iPhone and moving it to another angle! Alia Bhatt undergoes basketball training for Jigra: Report

Alia Bhatt starrer Jigra is one of the highly-anticipated films of the year, since it will also feature the actress as a solo lead after Gangubai Kathiawadi. The film will also feature Vedang Raina for the first time with Bhatt. While the film is a rescue drama focusing on the intense love between siblings, it is now being said that Alia had to undergo sports training for her role. In fact, recent reports suggest that Alia had to undergo basketball training for the Vasan Bala directorial.

In a recent report published by Etimes, a source has revealed that Alia Bhatt has undergone extensive coaching to understand the game of basketball which also includes training under some of the best players in the city. The source has stated that Alia and Vasan wanted the basketball portions to look authentic because it has a major connection with the storyline of the film.

In fact, we hear that Alia even went on to put in extra hours to understand the game and its rules. She also spent time learning basic movements which are a key part of the game which includes dribble, double dribble, how to pass and dunk the ball in the basket, among other things. In fact, the makers even are said to have gone to the extent of hiring a special basketball coach who was present on the sets to choreograph the portions related to the game.

Shilpa Shetty visits Salman Khan’s residence with her mother after the firing incident

The incident of gun fire outside Salman Khan’s house left everyone, including his fans, family and industry friends, concerned. Following the incident, Shilpa Shetty visited Salman today at his residence with her mother.

Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty have been there for each other through their difficult times. In the midst of their personal crises with the Enforcement Directorate (ED), she was seen visiting his residence. On Thursday, ED attached Shipa and her husband Raj Kundra's bungalow and flat, along with equity shares worth approximately Rs. 98 crores in connection with a money-laundering investigation related to the suspected crypto assets Ponzi scheme.

For those who came in late, last week, two people on a bike opened fire at Galaxy Apartments, raising security fears for Salman and his family. Following this, the Kutch Police detained two individuals as suspects in the case and turned them over to the Mumbai Crime Branch for further investigation. Following a medical test, Mumbai's Killa Court remanded the two suspects, named as Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21) from Bihar, in the custody of the Mumbai Crime Branch till April 25.

On the work front, Shilpa was last seen in Sukhee. It showed her as a housewife seeking self-discovery through an escape. Meanwhile, Salman's absence at the box office was felt by his fans during this Eid. However, he didn't disappoint them and revealed that his next film Sikandar is slated for release on next Eid.

Ravi Kishan's wife Preeti Shukla files FIR against Aparna Thakur claiming to be a second wife of the actor with a daughter; demands Rs. 20 crore: Report

Bollywood actor and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Ravi Kishan is embroiled in a major controversy. The drama began when Aparna Soni, also known as Aparna Thakur, a resident of Mumbai, held a press conference in Lucknow, claiming that Kishan is the father of her 25-year-old daughter, Shinova. Allegations of denial of parental rights were hurled at the actor-turned-politician, igniting a firestorm of controversy.

According to a report in India Today, in response, Ravi Kishan's wife, Preeti Shukla, took swift action, complaining to the Hazratganj police station in Lucknow. The complaint, which triggered the lodging of an FIR against six individuals including Aparna Soni, her family members, a Samajwadi Party leader, and a journalist, alleges a conspiracy to defame her husband and influence the ongoing elections.

Preeti Shukla's complaint reveals intimidation and extortion from Aparna Soni who allegedly demanded a staggering sum of Rs. 20 crore, under threat of framing false rape charges against Ravi Kishan. The FIR, lodged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, outlines a web of deceit and coercion aimed at tarnishing the reputation of the Laapataa Ladies actor.

Aparna Soni aka Aparna Thakur countered the allegations, asserting that she had sent a legal notice to Ravi Kishan ten months prior, seeking financial support for her daughter's education, marriage, and future. Denying any association with criminal elements, Thakur expressed dismay at being embroiled in a legal quagmire. She claimed harassment and vehemently denied involvement in any extortion plot.

This recognition highlights the global impact of Indian actors and the immense talent they bring to the world stage.

Alia Bhatt, a household name in India, has been steadily carving her niche as a leading actress with critically acclaimed performances and immense audience popularity. Her dedication and talent haven't gone unnoticed internationally. Tom Harper, the director of her Hollywood debut film Heart of Stone, penned a glowing tribute for the magazine. Harper described Bhatt as a focused and collaborative artist, praising her willingness to embrace creative risks. He wrote, “I met Alia on Heart of Stone, her English-language film debut. Meanwhile, Dev Patel, who made his directorial debut with Monkey Man, is also included in the TIME 100 list. Actor Daniel Kaluuya, Patel's co-star in the British teen drama Skins, penned a heartfelt tribute acknowledging their journey together. Kaluuya reminisced about their early days, filled with youthful enthusiasm and the shared joy of pursuing their acting dreams. He wrote, “He was so full of life, and we both couldn’t believe we were missing school to do this. After Slumdog Millionaire, I went from getting food with him in Wetherspoons to watching him at the Golden Globes, within a month—and he still checked in when he got back.” Kaluuya specifically praised Patel's performance in his action-drama Monkey Man, calling it his favorite. He commended Patel's ability to portray characters with depth and complexity, evoking empathy from viewers even in challenging roles. Rohit Shetty to shoot elaborate dance number with Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff; Deepika Padukone may not participate: Report

Rohit Shetty's Singham Again boasts a star-studded cast including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor and Tiger Shroff with Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh also reprising their previous roles from Sooryavanshi and Simmba.  Now, Shetty is set to shoot a mega dance number featuring all of these stars. While Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Tiger Shroff are set for the dance number, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh will also make cameo appearances. The filmmaker is filming an elaborate song at a Vile Parle set starting today, April 17.

Rohit Shetty has been filming the action sequences for the film's last leg at Golden Tobacco Factory. A separate grand set has been built for this song. The shoot was originally scheduled for April 15 but has been pushed back to today. Ganesh Acharya is choreographing the song with 400 background dancers. The main cast will film the number over the next four days. However, Deepika Padukone might not be able to participate, as the actress is currently expecting her first child.

According to a report in Mid-day, the source revealed, “Ganesh Acharya is choreographing it, and has hired 400 background dancers. The primary cast will film the vibrant number over the next four days. However, Deepika, who is among the newest entrants in the cop verse, might give it a miss.”

Meanwhile, Bollywood Hungama recently reported that Shetty is now eyeing Diwali 2024 release date and will push from Independence Day 2024 release, making way for Pushpa 2: The Rule. "Rohit Shetty, Ajay Devgn, and the team have been shooting day and night for Singham Again with the will to bring it during the August 15, 2024 weekend. However, the shoot is taking longer than expected as a film like Singham Again requires a lot of attention. Rohit and Ajay don't want to rush through the proceedings only to make it to a certain release date. They want the scale and vision to come out exactly as fleshed on the paper without any compromise," a trade source told Bollywood Hungama.

Rohit and Ajay have already conveyed their idea of delaying the film to Jio Studios and the date of August 15 is now vacant. "Jio has suggested a Diwali 2024 release to Rohit and Ajay, and the duo is also considering the date. The timelines of VFX and background score are now being reworked keeping the Diwali 2024 deadline in mind. Diwali has also proved to be lucky for Ajay and Rohit combo," the source told us.

An official announcement about the new release date of Singham Again is expected to be made shortly, but at the moment, the film is 100% pushed from the already announced date of August 15, 2024. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde meets Salman Khan; says, “Be it Lawrence Bishnoi or anyone else, we will eliminate him”

On Sunday, Mumbai woke up to the news of two gunshots being fired at Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s residence in the city. In the past, Salman Khan has received several threats from a gangster named Lawrence Bishnoi and he is being suspected to have been involved in the recent attack against Khan and his family. In order to showcase his support and provide assurance to the family, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde visited their residence in suburban Mumbai.

After speaking to Salman Khan and his family, Eknath Shinde also addressed the media present outside the famous Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, suburban Mumbai wherein he assured that the family including the superstar has been given extra security. He also maintained that the two arrests, which were made earlier this year, are currently being probed regarding the case.

As per a News18 report, Eknath Shinde was quoted saying, “I met with Salman Khan and assured him the government is with him. I also directed the police team to take immediate action on this, after which two of the accused have been arrested. I have also directed the Police Commissioner to provide security for Salman Khan and his family, and the instructions have already been given to Mumbai Police regarding security. It is our duty to take care of our people,”

He also went on to add, “This is Maharashtra, no gang is left here. Be it Lawrence Bishnoi or anyone else, we will eliminate him. Any kind of bullying by anyone will not work in Maharashtra. We will uproot all the gangs and goons. Hooliganism will not be allowed to continue. If any gang is to be found involved in this, they will not be spared. The accused are being interrogated. Strict actions will be taken. I don’t want to comment on what happened in the past government, but we will uproot all the gangs and goons who will try to harm any person of the state.”

Teaser of Janhvi Kapoor starrer Ulajh to drop tomorrow!

Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming film Ulajh has been in the news for quite some time. This is mostly because of the unusual cast of the film, which also includes Gulshan Devaiah and Meiyang Chang. Now, the teaser of the movie is all set to release tomorrow at 11 am IST.

The news was shared by Janhvi on her official Instagram page. She shared a video where the title of the movie appears jumbled and then appear in the right order, which goes with the theme of the film. She captioned the post as, “#UlajhTeaser out tomorrow at 11am!”

The announcement was enough to spark excitement among Janhvi’s fans on Instagram. This was evident from the numerous comments on the post where they expressed their happiness and wished her good luck for the film.

Jahvi had wrapped shooting for Ulajh in September last year. At that time, she had posted an emotional note, which read, “It’s a wrap. still having dreams of the world we tried to create. Arbaaz Khan issues statement after firing incident at Salman Khan's residence: “Our family has been taken aback…”

Actor Arbaaz Khan released an official statement on Sunday, a day after an unidentified person fired shots outside his brother Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The statement clarified the family's position on the incident and addressed misleading information circulating in the media. Arbaaz Khan expressed the family's distress over the shooting, stating, "The recent incident of firing...is very disturbing and unnerving. Our family has been taken aback by this shocking incident."

The statement firmly denies claims made by some individuals purporting to be family confidantes, who suggested the incident was a publicity stunt and that the family remained unaffected. Arbaaz Khan stated that such claims are "loose statements" and should not be taken seriously. The Khan family has not previously issued any official statements to the media regarding the incident. SCOOP: Divya Khosla Kumar to play Vyjayanthimala in Hero Heeroine

There are intriguing real-life parallels in Suresh Krissna’s Hindi-Telugu film Hero Heeroine, which is set in the film industry. Rumor has it that Divya Khosla Kumar is playing a character inspired by the living legend Vyjayanthimala.

Rajiv Khandelwal, who last seen as a bratty superstar in Karan Johar’s series Showtime, features as a South superstar-singer, alongside Paresh Rawal. The two accomplished actors reunite after eleven years. Paresh and Rajiv were last seen together was Table No. 21.

But the most interesting comeback to screen is that of veteran Soni Razdan, who is all set to dazzle in Hero Heeroine playing a role reminiscent of Meryl Streep’s Miranda in The Devil Wears Prada.

Tusshar Kapoor for the first time, appears as himself, and Ishita Chauhan takes on the role of a chef. Arbaaz Khan and Vinay Pathak are also part of the vast cast. Noteworthy Telugu actors will also join the cast soon.

Budget battles stall Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar's action thriller; project to be scaled down amid budget concerns

Over the last few months, it was confirmed that Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar are teaming up for the first time on an action-packed saga. The director, Aditya Dhar had even started the recce for the film with the intent to take the film on floors in Summer 2024. However, in an unusual turn of events, there is a delay in the shooting schedule of this action-packed thriller.

A source told Bollywood Hungama anonymously, "Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar are very keen to make their first collaboration very special. They want to mount the film like the biggest action thriller set against the backdrop of politics and gang wars. The vision to make this requires a big budget and they are not able to align their vision with their studio partner."

The source further informed that Aditya Dhar is now taking time off to rework the script and scale down some of the action sequences to bring it into a particular budget structure. "The market is not lucrative as the digital streaming market has come down in the last 2 years. With films not fetching the requisite value of digital rights, the studios have asked a lot of directors to rework their budgets. Aditya Dhar is now working to get budgets in place," the source told us further.

There is a delay of at least 3 to 4 months on the film now and the new timelines of the shoot will be decided shortly.
