Dia Mirza knows how to beat plastic pollution while you fly, check out
Fighting plastic pollution is not just  about cleaning beaches and banning plastic bags, it is also about the little things.  Dia Mirza, Actor, Producer, UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador & United Nations Secretary General Advocate for Sustainable Development Goals  has started carrying her own meals on flights - this means not only is her food healthier than the inflight option but it is also stored in a non-plastic container. Airlines invariably use plastic to store and serve food. Last year, the Global campaign BeatPlasticPollution initiated by the UN Environment program that was  spearheaded by Dia in India led PM Modi to make a historic declaration to make India single-use plastic free by 2022. Dia, who is also a Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) advocate is definitely someone who not only walks her talk but also 'flies' her talk too.
