Raashii Khanna begins shoot of next schedule for Yodha

Creating waves across industries, Raashii Khanna is busy hopping sets and running around the clock one film after another. After wrapping the shoot of Thank You with Naga Chaitanya in Moscow and finishing the schedule of Sardar with Karthi in Chennai, Raashii has now resumed shooting for her debut Bollywood film Yodha, with Sidharth Malhotra.

Filming a month-long schedule for Dharma Productions' Yodha, Raashii Khanna is switching between Lonavala, Mumbai and Delhi for her Bollywood film debut.

Offering more details into the same, a source revealed, "Raashii has been on an extremely packed schedule, beginning with the shoot in Moscow for Thank You, then starting Sardar in Chennai, she also has been juggling promotions of her OTT debut Rudra: The Edge of Darkness with Ajay Devgn. Now, Raashii has resumed shooting for Yodha, the team already shot for a portion in Lonavala and are currently filming in Mumbai, post which the team will fly to Delhi to shoot for the remaining parts.

Recently, the trailer of her OTT debut Rudra: The Edge of Darkness was released showcasing the unconventional and experimental role of Raashii in the show. Playing a psychopath, Raashii has impressed the audience with her glimpses generating anticipation for her performance.

Apart from Yodha, Rudra, Thank You and Sardar, Raashii Khanna will also be seen in Thiruchitrabalam with Dhanush along with Raj and DK's upcoming show starring Vijay Sethupati and Shahid Kapoor.

Tabu wraps the shoot of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2; shares picture from the sets

The much anticipated Kiara Advani and Kartik Aaryan starrer film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will hit the theatres on May 20, 2022. Apart from Kartik and Kiara, the film also stars veteran actress Tabu in a pivotal role. The principal photography of the film began on 9 October 2019 while its shoot got delayed multiple times owing to the Covid-19 crisis.

Now, the film has finally wrapped its shooting and the news has been shared by Tabu on her official Instagram handle. Taking to Instagram, Tabu shared a picture from the last day of the sets. The picture managed to capture the entire cast and crew of the film in one frame. In the picture, the entire crew could be seen coming together for the celebrations and cake cutting. Sharing the picture, Tabu in the caption wrote, "All’s well that ends well. Our journey of making Bhool Bhulaiyyan 2 comes to an end today."

As per the film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also stars Amar Upadhyay and Rajpal Yadav. It is a sequel to director Priyadarshan's 2007 film featuring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in lead roles. The sequel is being directed by Anees Bazmee and is written by Farhad Samji and Aakash Kaushik. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, and Krishan Kumar under the banner of T-Series and Cine 1 Studios, the film is scheduled to hit the screens on 20th May 2022

K-pop group SEVENTEEN member Vernon tests positive for COVID-19; halts activities

South Korean pop group SEVENTEEN member Vernon has been diagnosed with Covid-19 due to which he will be halting all his activities till the time he recovers.

In a statement posted by SEVENTEEN agency, PLEDIS Entertainment, the news regarding Vernon’s health was confirmed. The statement read, “We would like to provide you with some information on SEVENTEEN member VERNON being diagnosed with COVID-19 as well as adjustments in his activities. VERNON was tested positive on the self-test kit after experiencing a sore throat on Thursday, February 24. He promptly took a PCR test and was confirmed with COVID-19 on the morning of Friday, February 25. VERNON is currently not exhibiting any extraordinary symptoms other than a sore throat and is administering self-treatment at home.”

“VERNON came in contact with DK and DINO on Tuesday, the 22nd and with S.COUPS and WOOZI on Wednesday, the 23rd, but they only met for a brief moment while wearing masks and did not come in close contact. DK, DINO, S.COUPS and WOOZI all took a self-test kit and rapid antigen test which all the results came back as negative and are not exhibiting any symptoms. Therefore, it would be difficult for VERNON to take part in SEVENTEEN’s activities for a while. We will provide you with updates on his activity resumption. We will continue to provide support for the rapid recovery of VERNON, placing our highest priority on the health and safety of our artists. We will also continue to fully cooperate with the requests and guidelines of healthcare authorities,” the statement concluded.

On the work front, Vernon recently collaborated with Charli XCX for her new single Beg For You, the teaser for which was shared on February 23 on twitter by the english singer-songwriter.

SEVENTEEN, as a group, released their Japanese special single Power of Love, which marked the end of the ‘Power of Love’ project, in December last year.

Anubhav Sinha reunites with Taapsee Pannu; actress to headline Sudhir Mishra’s short in the upcoming anthology film produced by Bhushan Kumar and Sinha

It was recently reported that Anubhav Sinha has brought together prolific filmmakers - Sudhir Mishra and Hansal Mehta for a unique anthology film with the pandemic as a backdrop. Bollywood Hungama was the first to report that Taapsee Pannu has been roped in for the anthology and it has been now officially announced that the actress will be headlining Sudhir Mishra’s short. The film will be produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Sinha’s production house Benaras Mediaworks. After the recent announcement of Afwaah directed by Sudhir Mishra, this is the second professional outing between Sinha and Mishra.

Taapsee Pannu who worked with Sinha on the hard-hitting Thappad in 2020 and Mulk in 2018, returns to his banner Benaras Mediaworks with this film. Reuniting with Sinha, Taapsee Pannu says, "The story is unique and never done before, it’s a socio-political drama that spans across two generations with the pandemic as the backdrop. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with a brilliant filmmaker like Sudhir Sir who is so solid with his craft. And mostly it feels like homecoming working again with Anubhav Sir and Bhushan Sir. Anubhav Sir knows how to channel the best in me. Being surrounded by masterful filmmakers like these is a blessed experience."

Echoing the same sentiments, Anubhav Sinha adds, "The narrative is a layered one talking about human relationships against the pandemic serving as a backdrop. I am so glad to be reuniting with Taapsee for this one! She is perceptive and brings her own to every character she plays. SCOOP: Taapsee Pannu to join Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bhumi Pednekar in Afwaah

A few days back it was reported that Sudhir Mishra and Anubhav Sinha had pulled off a true-blue head-turner of sorts after casting Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bhumi Pednekar in a film together. Titled Afwaah, Sudhir is all set to helm this rollercoaster ride of a story, produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Anubhav Sinha’s Benaras Mediaworks. Now we hear that the makers have added yet another name to the cast in the form of Taapsee Pannu.

Revealing details of the same a well-placed industry source exclusively tells Bollywood Hungama, “Yes Taapsee has also been roped in for Afwaah. She will be joining Nawaz and Bhumi as part of the cast. Interestingly, there will still be one more name added in the coming days.” Ask the source for more details about the venture and he adds, “The film will feature three female leads, one being Bhumi, the second Taapsee, and the third is yet to be locked. As for the film itself, Afwaah will be an anthology of sorts.”

If that wasn’t enough, while the film already features two female leads viz. Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu, we hear that the makers are yet to sign on two more actresses. Comments the source, “Afwaah is a four female lead film, with Nawazuddin playing the male lead. With Bhumi and Taapsee on board, the makers are now looking to lock the remaining two leads in the coming weeks.”

Interestingly, in his statement earlier, Sudhir Mishra had stated that he had been working on the script for a while developing it into a quirky and twisted piece. “Beneath all of the quirkiness lies a crucial message which I want my viewers to take back home with them.”

As for the film itself, Afwaah, roughly translated meaning rumour will take on the subject of rumor-mongering and misinformation. Said to be an anthology, the makers are looking to mount the film soon and will be shot in an elaborate schedule in Alwar, Rajasthan.
