South Korean group A.C.E's next international step sees them collaborating with GRAMMY-nominated EDM/pop duo Grey on the song 'Down'. The duo is famous for their work with Zedd, Camila Cabello, Hailee Steinfeld, and many more.
The unique music video, released alongside 'Down (feat. Grey)' worldwide on Friday, April 16, 2021, features Jun, Donghun, Byeongkwan, and Chan in a very modern set up of social media presence - TikTok, Instagram, and more. Member Wow could not participate due to health concerns as he is focusing on recovering.
The song describes the members falling head over heels for someone even when they were determined to not catch feelings. The lyrics reflect the sentiment, "I'm not the type to catch feelings / Something bout you got me stuck and I’m sinkin’ / Lend me a hand girl come and save mе / Cause I'm falling down, down / All the way down now / Let’s gеt away and spend the weekend / Let's take a ride, put your head back, pop the ceiling / Somewhere just you and I can relax / As long as you're down, down."
A.C.E's 'Down (feat. Grey)' is an English track with the easy, breezy spring song acting as a lighthearted, feel-good pop track that perfectly suits the warmer weather and offers greater hope about the future. The track has been released in three versions: one with A.C.E and Grey on vocals, one with just A.C.E on vocals, and one instrumental.
The new collaboration project will follow A.C.E's first big collab of the year 'Fav Boyz' (Steve Aoki's Gold Star Remix), a rework of the group's critically acclaimed single 'Goblin (Favorite Boys)'. The track featured Nigerian-American rapper Thutmose broke into Billboard's Dance/Electronic Song Sales charts making A.C.E just the fourth K-pop group ever to do so. Its accompanying music video earned more than 1 million views in under a month.
