EXCLUSIVE: Masaba Gupta and Neena Gupta take you through behind-the-scenes of Masaba Masaba and what it was like to film the series

On September 8, 2020, Bollywood Hungama brings you an exclusive behind-the-scenes video of the series where the Masaba and Neena speak about their experience whilst shooting the series. “Masaba Masaba is firstly very different from what people think it is. It’s not a heavy show, it’s not a reality show, it’s slice into my life, my mum’s life and everything you see in that show will be very borrowed from our real life, and who were are as individuals and as women. But, done in a very soft, light, humourous, charming way,” says Masaba.

Speaking of her experience, Neena Gupta adds, “I was no sure, I was unsure that what kind of image of Masaba we are going to portray? There are a few scenes I did not like. I told them because when the audience sees these things or anything, they think this is reality. So, I felt that they will think Masaba is like that.”

In the behind-the-scenes featurette, you see Masaba, Neena, Neil Bhoopalam, Rytasha Rathore, Smaran Sahu, and Satyadeep Mishra rehearsing, blocking scenes, sharing a laugh, and having lots of fun in between takes. You can see mini Masaba, Amariah Awantaye, who was auditioned amongst 100 kids.

Masaba Masaba is a celebration of her life, successes, and failures alike, packing in a ton of fun, laughter, and tongue-in-cheek humour that is synonymous with her and her actor mother, Neena Gupta.
