R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh's next with Karan Johar titled Aap Jaisa Koi

Karan Johar is all set for his 2.0 version after the investment from Adar Poonawala and is rolling with feature films left right and center. The maverick producer took a film with R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh on floors in November and the media speculated the title of the film to be Tharki. However, according to our highly placed sources, Tharki is not the title of this rom-com.

A source informed Bollywood Hungama, "Karan Johar's next with R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh is directed by Vivek Soni, best known for Meenakshi Sundareshwar. After contemplating the title Tharki, the film is now called Aap Jaisa Koi. Karan is a big fan of this song and has decided to go ahead with the title."

The source further says, "The title blends well with the concept of the film, where a 40-year-old fans in love with a woman in her early 30s. The duo meet on a dating app, and the story takes off from there. The film is set in Mumbai and Kolkata."

Pandya store actor Akshay Kharodia announces separation from his wife Divya; asserts about co-parenting their daughter Ruhi

Telly actor Akshay Kharodia, best known for his role as Dev Pandya in Pandya Store, has announced separation from his wife Divya in a heartfelt social media post, after three years of marriage. The couple, who are also parents to a baby girl named Ruhi, have parted ways but have not shared any specific reason for the decision. However, in his emotional note, Akshay has insisted that they have decided to take this step after much contemplation, asserting that they will continue to co-parent their two-year-old daughter.

Akshay Kharodia took to Instagram to share a beautiful photo from their wedding in Dehradun and shared a note saying, “Hello everyone, With a heavy heart, I want to share a deeply personal update. After much thought and countless emotional conversations, Divya and I have decided to part ways.” He continued, “This has been an incredibly difficult decision for both of us. Divya has been an irreplaceable part of my life, and the love, laughter, and memories we’ve shared will always remain precious to me. Together, we were blessed with the greatest gift—our daughter, Ruhi—who will always be the center of our world.”

Shilpa Shetty's lawyer denies reports of ED raids amid investigation into Raj Kundra case: "She has nothing to do with any offence"

Reports of Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids involving Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty have been refuted by her lawyer, who described the claims as false and misleading. The ED recently conducted searches at multiple locations linked to businessman Raj Kundra, Shetty's husband, in connection with an alleged money laundering case tied to the distribution of pornographic content.

Lawyer’s Statement Clears Air on Shilpa Shetty’s Involvement Responding to media reports, Shetty’s legal representative issued a statement categorically denying any ED raids at her residence or involvement in the investigation.

“There have been reports in the media saying that my client Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra has been raided by the Enforcement Directorate. These reports are not true and are misleading. As per my instructions, there is no Enforcement Directorate raid on Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra as she has nothing to do with any offence of whatsoever nature,” the statement read.

The lawyer also emphasized that the ongoing investigation pertains solely to Raj Kundra and highlighted his cooperation with authorities to ensure the truth emerges. Media Advised to Avoid Misleading Representation The lawyer further urged the media to exercise caution while reporting on the matter, stating: “Would request the electronic and print media to refrain from using the videos, pictures, and name of Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra as she has nothing to do with the case. Strict cognizance shall be taken against irresponsible journalism wherein the pictures or videos of Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra are shared on this matter.” ED Raids on Raj Kundra and Others On November 29, 2024, the ED conducted raids at approximately 15 locations in Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh, including properties linked to Raj Kundra. Official sources stated that the searches are part of a money laundering probe connected to allegations of distributing pornographic content via mobile apps and other platforms.

Raj Kundra and Others Named in Case

Raj Kundra, who is married to Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, is at the center of the investigation. This comes after an FIR was registered in connection with the distribution of pornographic videos. Along with Kundra, other individuals, including actors Sherlyn Chopra and Poonam Pandey, have also been named in the case.

In December 2022, the Supreme Court had granted anticipatory bail to Raj Kundra, Sherlyn Chopra, Poonam Pandey, and others involved in the alleged scandal, providing temporary relief while the investigation continues

The money laundering case is linked to an alleged network that distributed adult content through mobile applications. Raj Kundra’s role in the operation is under scrutiny, with authorities examining the financial aspects and transactions tied to the distribution of the material. Why Manish Shah is not a part of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 – The Rule: How Revenue Sharing led to Goldmines-Mythri Breakup for Pushpa 2

The industry and fans are gearing up for the release of Pushpa 2 – The Rule on December 5 and the excitement is tremendous. This is because Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01, which was released on December 17, 2021, was a sleeper super-hit. The film continues to remain memorable and the lead character has earned a sizable fan following. The first part was released in Hindi by Manish Shah of Goldmines Telefilms. Both Manish Shah and the franchise benefited hugely from each other and it was expected that the makers will continue their partnership with Goldmies for Pushpa 2 – The Rule as well. Shockingly, that hasn’t happened.

A trade source told Bollywood Hungama why Goldmines Telefilms is not associated with Pushpa 2 – The Rule, “The producers, Mythri Movie Makers, had certain differences with Goldmines. Manish Shah acquired the Hindi dubbed version of Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01 for around Rs. 30 crores on MG. Back in the day, everyone in the industry felt that the amount would be impossible to recover. But Manish Shah earned nearly Rs. 55 crores from the theatrical earnings while another approx. Rs. 40-45 crores from the sale of digital and satellite rights. The total revenue from all fronts is around Rs. 100 crores.”

The source continued, “Mythri Movie Makers asked Manish Shah for a share in the revenues of theatrical and digital and TV rights. However, the Goldmines owner declined the request as legally, he was not bound to do so. The team at Mythri tried to convince him but Manish Shah remarked that it was thanks to his efforts and quality dubbing efforts that the Hindi version became so huge. Hence, he was justified in keeping his share to himself.”

The source added, “Due to this episode, Mythri Movie Makers decided to terminate their partnership with Goldmines Telefilms for Pushpa 2 – The Rule.”

Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01 tells the story of a labourer working for the red sandalwood smuggling mafia. Slowly, he rises up the ranks and ends up controlling the syndicate. The first part ends with the smuggler’s arch-nemesis swearing revenge. The sequel takes the story forward from where Part 1 ended. It stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles.

Just a few moments ago, it was revealed that the Shahid Kapoor starrer Deva which occupied the release date in the first week of February, was preponed to January last week. Now it has been revealed that the Valentine’s Week and the date February 14 has been taken over by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. Their ambitious historical drama Chhaava starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna will be releasing on the special day and there is a reason! Readers would be aware that Bollywood Hungama was the first one to report that the film can release next year on February 14.

Readers would be aware that the much-talked about film was expected to release this year in December. However, considering that the final month of 2024 is occupied with a multitude of releases including actioners like Pushpa 2: The Rule and Baby John, makers Maddock Films have decided to shift the release date of Chhaava. The film’s release is now pushed further for two months in February. Moreover, we hear that the special date which has been selected by the makers have a significance. While it is assumed that the makers will be cashing in on the Valentine’s Week, it is being said that the date holds significance to the story as it is a date closer to Chhatrapati Sivaji Maharaj Jayanti that falls on February 19.

Akshaye Khanna too will be marking his return to theatres after Drishyam 2 as he will be seen in the key role of Aurangazeb. Shahid Kapoor – Pooja Hegde starrer Deva gets preponed; to release in January

After the much success that Shahid Kapoor enjoyed with his 2024 Valentine’s Day release Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Ulja Jiya, the actor was expected to return to theatres yet again on the same occasion in 2025. The actor was said to be seen in the actioner Deva which will also feature Pooja Hegde as the leading lady. However, news is that fans will be able to see the actor in theatres, a few days sooner.

While earlier the makers had asserted that they wanted to add some action in the Valentine’s week, it seems that they decided to prepone the release. However, now we hear that Zee Studios and Roy Kapur films have jointly reached the decision that the film will be releasing in the last week of January. Sources revealed that Deva, which is all set to provide adrenaline rush as Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films’ much-anticipated high-octane action thriller, will now be releasing cinemas now on January 31, 2025. Aamir Khan’s Vision for Lahore 1947 Aamir Khan, who is producing the film, reviewed the first cut of Lahore 1947 and felt certain sequences could benefit from heightened dramatic intensity. A report by Mid-Day quoted a source close to the production saying, “Aamir shared his thoughts with Rajkumar Santoshi, and they agreed on incorporating additional shots to elevate the visual and emotional impact. The changes aim to ensure the narrative is as compelling as the story demands.” Sunny Deol Aligns Schedule for Patch Shoot Sunny Deol, fresh from completing Jaat, readily adjusted his schedule for the patch shoot. A crew member revealed, “The team will film a song and additional scenes that will amplify crucial moments in the story. A set for the song will be constructed at Mehboob Studios starting December 1, with filming expected to last 10 to 15 days. Sunny sir will complete these scenes before traveling to Kashmir for the Border 2 shoot.”

Lahore 1947 also stars Preity Zinta and promises a gripping portrayal of the Partition’s impact. The film captures the chaos, pain, and resilience of those affected.

Today, November 26, is the birthday of Kumar Mangat Pathak and on this joyous occasion, he and the entire team of his production house Panorama Studios took a significant step. They moved into their new office where a pooja was held to mark the new chapter in their lives. As expected, Ajay Devgn, the close confidante and associate of Kumar Mangat Pathak, graced his presence.

Bollywood Hungama got access to exclusive pictures of the happenings at the Panorama Studios office today. Ajay Devgn, clad in a white t-shirt, looked dashing as he posed with Kumar Mangat Pathak and his son Abhishek Pathak. In another picture, Abhishek Pathak and his wife Shivaleeka Oberoi are seen attending the pooja.

On this occasion, Ajay Devgn stated, “Kumar ji and I have shared a great journey together, filled with many milestones. Visiting his new office and witnessing his growth fills me with pride. Wishing him a very happy birthday and many more years of success and creativity!”

EXCLUSIVE: 4th Cinema Lovers Day this year to be celebrated on November 29; Moana 2, The Sabarmati Report to benefit as multiplexes to sell tickets for Rs. 99

With the collections drying up once again, the multiplexes have decided to organize Cinema Lovers Day on Friday, November 29, Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learned. As it happens on this day, most theatres and multiplexes across the country will sell movie tickets for normal seats at a discounted price of Rs. 99. The move is expected to lead to an increase in footfalls and also in revenue.

There’s no Hindi film releasing on November 29 as the gigantic Pushpa 2 will storm into cinemas on Thursday, December 5. The biggest release of the week is the Hollywood flick Moana 2, the sequel to the much-loved 2016 animated film Moana. The franchise has a following among the kids in urban areas and hence, Moana 2 will be the biggest beneficiary of the Cinema Lovers Day offer.

The Sabarmati Report, which is trending well, is also expected to see a spike in collections on its third Friday, thanks to the offer. Kal Ho Naa Ho is doing very well on its re-release and it remains to be seen if its collections jump on November 29 since its tickets anyway are priced at around Rs. 150.

The other holdover films that will also get the benefit are I Want To Talk, Karan Arjun, Wicked, Gladiator II, Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

Interestingly, this marks the fourth edition of Cinema Lovers Day of 2024. Earlier this year, it was celebrated on February 23, May 31 and August 9. Meanwhile, the National Cinema Day was held on September 20. In other words, this is the fifth time that multiplexes are selling tickets for Rs. 99 in 2024. The faulty planning of releasing films, needless clashes and failure to space out releases appropriately are considered to be the major reasons for such dry periods.

Nevertheless, the industry is gearing up for a rocking December. Pushpa 2 is expected to take a record start across the country. Baby John and Mufasa: The Lion King have also generated excitement and hence, the year hopefully should end with a bang.

Raaj Shaandilyaa and Vimal Lahoti to remake National Award-Winning film Fouja to Hindi Cinema

Director and producer Raaj Shaandilyaa and Vimal Lahoti have acquired the Hindi remake rights of Fouja, a film that has won three National Awards this year. This project will be produced under their banner, Kathavachak Films.

Fouja has won three National Awards. With themes of resilience, patriotism, and humanity, the original film resonated with audiences across the country. The Hindi remake aims to bring this narrative to a broader audience.

Sharing his thoughts, Raaj Shaandilyaa said, “I am honored to bring Fouja to Hindi cinema. It’s a story of extraordinary courage and emotion that deserves to be experienced by a larger audience. My goal is to remain faithful to the soul of the original while crafting a version that resonates with Hindi-speaking viewers and beyond.”

The remake is set to bring a fresh creative vision to the original’s narrative while retaining its emotional depth. The film will feature a cast, with announcements about the director and lead actors expected soon.

In the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, Anshuman Mathur and Paritosh Gupta faced off in the Challenger's round, where Paritosh emerged victorious and claimed the hot seat.

He works as a consultant for a cybersecurity company and resides in a chawl measuring less than 100 square feet. He shared, “I lived there with my parents, and now I live there with my wife.”

Aryan Khan starts final patch shoot for Stardom in Mumbai, Mona Singh and Lakshya to join: Report

A week after Netflix announced Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, Stardom, the budding filmmaker commenced the final patch shoot for his highly anticipated series. The shoot is currently on at the Whistling Woods International, a renowned film institute in Goregaon, Mumbai. Sources reveal that the series, tentatively titled Stardom, is in its last phase of production and is scheduled for an early 2025 release.

Seven-Day Shoot at Whistling Woods

According to a report by Mid-Day, Aryan Khan started the seven-day schedule on Sunday. The patch shoot at the Whistling Woods primarily involves location shots and some additional scenes. A source mentioned, “On Sunday, Aryan kicked off the patch schedule, in which he will largely take some location shots and can some scenes. While Mona [Singh] and the leading man were not required on Sunday, they are expected to join the shoot later this week.”

Post this schedule, the production team is expected to shift to an office in Worli to film specific entry scenes before wrapping up.

Star-Studded Cast and Cameos

The series, headlined by Mona Singh and Lakshya, is being touted as a behind-the-scenes exploration of Bollywood's glamour and challenges. Badshah defends Diljit Dosanjh over Alcohol songs controversy; says, “An artists represents society”

Diljit Dosanjh, who typically avoids controversies, found himself caught in one when the Telangana state government issued him a notice, warning him not to perform songs promoting alcohol and violence during his concert in Hyderabad. In response, the singer altered the lyrics of his songs while performing. After his Hyderabad show, while performing in Ahmedabad, Diljit addressed the legal notice. During his set, he clarified that he does not promote alcohol, and that only a few of his songs touch on the topic, which he can easily modify. Imtiaz Ali clarifies controversial remarks on women’s safety after criticism from Vinta Nanda at IFFI

After veteran television producer Vinta Nanda criticized acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali for his recent remarks on women’s safety at the 55th IFFI International Film Festival in Goa, the Highway director addressed the controversy. In response to Vinta's allegations, Imtiaz clarified that he had been misunderstood. He emphasized that he has never denied or disputed the many cases of harassment, and sought to clarify his stance on the issue.

In his Instagram stories, Imtiaz Ali shared a clarification, he said, "Uh oh there seems to be a misunderstanding that I must clarify. I haven't denied or disputed the tons of harassment cases that Vinta ji and many other friends have spoken about; in fact these incidents are deeply disturbing and must be dealt with severely and consistently.” He added, “I was pointing out that it is doubly frustrating that the entire film industry, all those hundreds of men on every set who are otherwise remarkably well-mannered, get a bad name for the acts of a few. Of course, terrible things have happened and continue to happen and they are shameful - as an industry and nation, we should have a zero-tolerance policy towards them. We have to uphold our honour together and regardless of gender.” Imtiaz Ali recalled an instance from the sets of Jab We Met, where Kareena Kapoor felt completely safe. He shared, “Kareena was ready for the shot and on the top berth in a railway compartment. She had to mumble in her sleep in the scene, and we needed extra lights on the berth. I asked her to come down until the crew members finished putting the light on. She said that I would keep lying there and they could just put the light on.” Imtiaz added, “Three men went up and put it while standing on the lower berth where she was lying down. I asked her, ‘Are you sure and comfortable?’ She didn’t understand what my problem was. She said, ‘Abhi kon utrega aur phir chadhega!’ And that’s because she felt so safe with those three men hovering over her to put the light on. Konkona Sen Sharma joins International film Mis(s)Chief alongside Carlos Bardem, selected for 2025 sundance labs

Konkona Sen Sharma, acclaimed for her roles in films such as Omkara, Wake Up Sid, and Life...In A Metro, has secured a role in an international project titled Mis(s)Chief. Directed by Anu Vaidyanathan, the film will feature the actress alongside Spanish actor Carlos Bardem, the brother of Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem. The film's announcement was made at the Film Bazaar in Goa. Mis(s)Chief, a collaboration between UK and India-based Avani Films, is currently in the development stage and has advanced to the second round of the 2025 Sundance Development Labs as a selected entry, according to Variety.

Described as a comedy, the story centers on Rumi, a mother of two who is striving to establish herself as a filmmaker. She juggles a troubled marriage, her children's constant homework, and unforeseen problems with a gangster she unintentionally angered. According to the portal, British filmmaker Peter Weber will serve as the Executive Producer for the upcoming project, while Emmy-nominated casting director Nancy Bishop will handle the film's casting. Speaking about the project, Konkona expressed, "I am thrilled by the comic premise, the portrayal of women, and the writing itself.” Director Anu Vaidyanathan, as quoted by Variety, remarked, "I believe Konkona’s real-life experience closely mirrors that of our protagonist, Rumi, who is trying to juggle parenting with filmmaking. Shah Rukh Khan-Salman Khan’s Karan Arjun amongst the top 3 openers of all time in the HISTORY of re-releases; opens bigger than Rockstar, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Veer-Zaara, Pushpa

One of the most loved films of Indian cinema, Karan Arjun (1995), had a grand re-release yesterday, November 22. Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, it managed to open at Rs. 26 lakhs, and is thus, now the third biggest opening day grosser for a re-release.

The re-release trend picked up big time this year and the biggest grosser in this regard was Tumbbad at Rs. 1.50 crores. This was followed by Laila Majnu, which opened at Rs. 30 lakhs. Karan Arjun, meanwhile, earned Rs. 26 lakhs and that’s more than the re-release first-day collections of Veer-Zaara (Rs. 20 lakhs), Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (Rs. 20 lakhs), Kal Ho Naa Ho (Rs. 12 lakhs) and Rockstar (Rs. 7 lakhs).

Interestingly, Karan Arjun also collected more than Ajay Devgn’s Naam, a two-decade-old film, which finally had a release yesterday. It collected Rs. 20 lakhs. Pushpa also arrived yet again in cinemas as its sequel will be out in less than 2 weeks. But it managed to earn Rs. 15 lakhs, that is, Rs. 11 lakhs less than Karan Arjun.

Bollywood re-releases typically fall into two categories: films that underperformed initially but gained a cult following and opened big during re-release like Tumbbad, Laila Majnu and to some extent Rockstar. Then there were blockbuster hits from their original run that might not create the same urgency to revisit but will find its audience slowly and steadily. Karan Arjun belongs to the latter category and in that regard, its opening is praiseworthy.

Karan Arjun is expected to have a healthy weekend and with no competition for the next few weeks, it’ll have an open run until the release of Pushpa 2 on December 5.

Karan Arjun’s re-release also had more than three weeks of promotional campaign, spearheaded by producer-director Rakesh Roshan. It was released in 1114 theatres and 2208 shows in India and 250 theatres overseas. This simultaneous re-release in India and overseas was a first for any Bollywood film. Rakesh Roshan's innovative re-release strategy aimed to reintroduce the classic to modern audiences, blending new-age and traditional tools. The blockbuster filmmaker worked tirelessly to enhance the audio-visual experience, ensuring it resonated with new and old fans alike.

AR Rahman’s bassist Mohini Dey pens note on social media addressing her linkup rumours with his divorce; says, “I know exactly what it’s about”

On Tuesday, AR Rahman took the nation by shock as he announced separation from his wife after 29 years of marriage. While his kids have requested privacy and addressed the media showcasing their support towards their family and parents, another divorce note which was from the musical maestro’s bassist Mohini Dey has further added to the speculations. Considering that the musician announced soon after the maestro shared this life update has got netizens talking.

Mohini Dey, who has performed for AR Rahman for many years, incidentally announced her divorce on the same day as the latter which has fueled up rumours. After the musician’s lawyers addressed the same earlier this week, now Dey too has decided to speak up on it. While she maintained silence all this while, on Friday, she took to her Instagram handle to share a note on her story which asserted her stance on the ongoing rumours as she wrote about the innumerable interview calls coming her way. “I've been getting a humongous amount of requests for interviews and I know exactly what it’s about so, I have to respectfully turn each one down because I am not interested in fueling into ABSOLUTE BS! I believe my energy is not worth spending on RUMOURS. Kindly, respect my privacy. <3 Mo”.

While AR Rahman has not reacted to these reports, his son A R Ameen too took to his Instagram story to react to these rumours, denying them and requested everyone to maintain dignity. His note said, “My father is a legend, not just for his incredible contributions but for the values, respect, and love he has earned over the years. It's disheartening to see false and baseless rumours being spread. Let us all remember the importance of truth and respect when speaking about someone's life and legacy. Please refrain from engaging in or spreading such misinformation. Let's honor and preserve the dignity and the incredible impact he has had on all of us.”

Meanwhile, the legal team of AR Rahman also addressed these rumours. “There is no connection at all. Saira and Mr Rahman made this decision on their own”, they were quoted telling Republic TV recently.

Salman Khan - Atlee film to be a reincarnation drama: Report

After directing superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan, Atlee is expected to be taking another plunge into the world of Bollywood superstardom by marking his first collaboration with the other superstar Salman Khan. While details of the film are being strictly maintained under wraps, recent reports have confirmed that the filmmaker is keen on making this a mega two-hero project with either Tamil superstars Rajinikanth or Kamal Haasan as the other lead. Latest update on that front is that the film will be a reincarnation drama.

In a Pinkvilla report, a source was revealed saying, “Atlee has been working on a mega-budget reincarnation drama for the last one year, which is set in two distinct era’s – past and present. The filmmaker is looking to have a strong, never-seen-before period set up with breath-taking visuals of a fictional world. It’s going to be Salman Khan presented like never before in the avatar of a warrior in the period era, whereas the present era dynamics have been kept under wraps for now. The focus of the film will be more towards the period portions than the present, as the script demands more of drama and conflict in the fictional fantasy world. All the characters will be interlinked from past and present.”

It was learnt that the film, currently being referred to as A6, was expected to be going on floors in the first half of next year. However, while it seems that Atlee continues to be busy with the script and finalizing the cast, the source has asserted that the filmmaker will lock both soon.  “It’s an ambitious film with Atlee looking to create a new world for the cinema going audiences, with lots of action, drama, thrills and emotion. He is looking to lock the entire star-cast for A6 by the end of this year, and the filmmaker is confident to get one of the two legends – Kamal Haasan or Rajinikanth – to play the parallel lead,” the source has informed further.

Meanwhile, currently, Salman Khan is busy wrapping up Sikandar, directed by A R Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Prateik Babbar. On the other hand, Atlee is busy with the release of his production Baby John starring Varun Dhawan in the lead, that is a remake of the filmmaker’s 2016 Tamil movie Theri.

Shah Rukh Khan Death Threat Case: Accused lawyer Faizan Khan tracked Shah Rukh Khan’s family, searched security details

A new report suggests that the individual arrested for issuing death threats to actor Shah Rukh Khan was monitoring his activities and attempting to gather private details about his family. The accused, identified as Raipur-based lawyer Faizan Khan, is in custody for allegedly threatening the actor and demanding extortion.

According to a report by The Times of India, investigations revealed that Faizan Khan conducted extensive online searches to gather information about Shah Rukh Khan's family's security arrangements and movements. He also tracked the movements of the actor and his son, Aryan Khan. This discovery was made through a forensic analysis of Faizan's second mobile phone, recovered by the Bandra Police investigation team.

Reports indicate that Faizan, currently in judicial custody for ten days, has been providing investigators with evasive and contradictory explanations for his searches related to Shah Rukh Khan and his family's movements. Both Shah Rukh and Aryan Khan are under Y-plus security cover provided by the Maharashtra government.

On November 7, the Mumbai Police received an anonymous call threatening Shah Rukh Khan's life and demanding a ₹50 lakh extortion. The call was traced to Raipur, linking the phone to Faizan Khan. Initially, Faizan claimed his phone had been stolen and that he was being framed.

Following preliminary investigations, the police arrested Faizan on November 12 and brought him in for questioning. He was placed in police custody until November 18 and later remanded to judicial custody for two weeks. Notably, Faizan had previously filed a complaint against Shah Rukh Khan regarding a dialogue in his 1994 film Anjaam about deer hunting.

While she is all set to reunite with Akshay Kumar in Welcome To The Jungle, Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learnt that Raveena Tandon is in talks to play a key role in Pati Patni Aur Woh 2.

A source told Bollywood Hungama on anonymity, "Raveena Tandon is in advanced talks with Mudassar Aziz for Pati Patni Aur Woh 2. She has been offered a sexy role in the sequel to this comic caper, and is very excited to sign on for the film." The source tells us further, "It's Raveena's character that leads to the confusion in the life of the leading hero - Kartik Aaryan. We shall get a clear picture on her doing the film by January 2025."

Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 is presently in the scripting stage and is expected to go on floors in the Summer 2025. "After Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, this is the next big franchise that Kartik is looking to own in his name. He has realised the power of franchises in modern era and is focusing on them to get the box office numbers."

Apart from Raveena Tandon, Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 will also star Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role, who plays the part of Patni, much like part one.

EXCLUSIVE: Not Tharki, Madhavan-Fatima Sana Shaikh starrer is titled Aap Jaisa Koi

One of the most dashing and talented actors of the industry, R Madhavan, is having a great run at the box office. Earlier this year, he rocked the show in Shaitaan, co-starring Ajay Devgn, as the antagonist. His 2001 romcom Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein was re-released and did very well. And now he has begun shooting for a love story with a dash of comedy opposite Fatima Sana Shaikh. As per certain reports, the film is tentatively titled Tharki.

Bollywood Hungama has found out the actual title of this film. A source told us, “The film is not called Tharki. The title is Aap Jaisa Koi. It goes well with the plot of the film and also has a nostalgic vibe to it, as it reminds of the classic song of the same name from Qurbani (1980).”

Aap Jaisa Koi is directed by Vivek Soni and incidentally, he has one more film lined up for release. It’s called Chand Mera Dil and incidentally, just like the R Madhavan starrer, the title of the second film also has a title taken from an old hit song. It stars Ananya Panday and Lakshya of Kill (2024) fame. Its posters were unveiled recently and got a fine response.

Incidentally, Chand Mera Dil will be released under the banner of Dharma Productions and hence, will have a theatrical release. Aap Jaisa Koi, however, is reportedly made under Dharmatic Entertainment and will premiere on Netflix. Both films are backed by Karan Johar.

As per an article in mid-day, Aap Jaisa Koi is about a virgin in his mid-40s who meets a young girl on a dating app. It also stars Namit Das and Karan Wahi. The film went on floors in Mumbai a few weeks ago and it’ll also be shot in Kolkata in December.

Apart from this romcom, R Madhavan also shot for De De Pyaar De 2, co-starring his Shaitaan co-star Ajay Devgn. As for Fatima Sana Shaikh, she’ll be seen in the multi-starrer Metro…In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu.

Housefull 5 team to shoot for a special song celebrating 14 years of the comedy franchise: Report

Housefull has been one of the most popular comedy franchises with the cast headlined by Akshay Kumar. Five years after the fourth instalment, the makers have announced the fifth instalment with Akshay and an ensemble cast. After the entire squad has completed a major schedule of the entertainer in Europe, the latest update on that front is that the film will feature a special track celebrating the franchise’s 14 years.

Sources have asserted that the song will be shot in an extensive manner and will be mounted on a large scale. According to these sources, considering the massive vision that Tarun Mansukhani and the production house have for the track, it will be taking as many as three days to shoot it and it is expected to happen in the vast Chitrakoot Grounds in Andheri, suburban Mumbai.

Elaborating on the same, a source revealed details to Mid-Day saying, “The track has been envisioned as a celebration of the franchise’s journey over the past 14 years. It will be larger-than-life, with expansive sets, elaborate costumes, and choreography that highlights the playful chemistry between the cast. It will be a night shoot going on from November 21 to 23.” The source also mentioned that the song will feature the entire cast including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri along with as many as 100 background dancers. Under the choreography by Remo D’Souza, the cast is said to have kicked off their rehearsals on November 19. “Tarun wanted the vibe to be classic Housefull—quirky and over-the-top, with moments in the song that will leave the audience in splits,” another source mentioned.

Apart from this, it is being said that the film will also feature another massive dance number. Coming to the film Housefull 5, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film will also star Dino Morea, Soundarya Sharma, Shreyas Talpade, Chitrangda Singh, Sonam Bajwa, among others.

Sikandar: Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna shoot for Eid and Holi special songs: Report

It is a known fact that Salman Khan fans are eagerly waiting to witness the grandeur of his next release, Sikandar. Packed with massy elements and featuring the quintessential ‘Bhai’ vibe, makers have asserted that the film will be a treat for Salman fans. Keeping up with the excitement surrounding the entertainer, sources close to the film have revealed a new update where they have asserted that Khan along with his leading lady Rashmika Mandanna will be shooting for two songs based on two festivals –Eid and Holi.

The fact that Sikandar features an ensemble cast and also that it marks the union of A R Murugadoss, Sajid Nadiadwala along with Salman Khan, have raised the bar of expectations among fans. Now, sources close to the film have insisted that the makers are leaving no stone unturned to keep up with these expectations and anticipation. A source told Pinkvilla said, “Sikandar is a celebration and the core idea of Salman, Sajid, and Murugadoss was to come up with an upbeat album for the Eid 2025 release. Earlier in the month, Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna have shot for two dance numbers set against the backdrop of Eid and Holi for Sikandar.”

The source also went on to reveal that the tracks will be of different genres wherein the Eid song will be qawwali whereas the Holi track will be a dance number but with elements of romance. “The two songs are expected to be instant chartbusters as everyone on the sets was grooving through the shoot. Salman also feels that the two compositions are among the best of Pritam. The entire Sikandar team is confident on delivering an album that’s remembered for a long time,” shared the source and went on to add, “Apart from these two dance numbers, two more songs – including a romantic number – is underworks. The remaining songs will be shot in January,”

Along with this, the source also shared brief updates about the action sequences viewers can expect in this entertainer. The source mentioned that the action in the film will have a new flavour and that Sajid Nadiadwala is pushing the envelope when it comes to the visuals of Sikandar.

One of the most celebrated films in Indian cinema, Karan Arjun (1995), starring Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, is gearing up for a grand re-release on November 22, 2024. Directed by Rakesh Roshan, this blockbuster will mark the biggest worldwide re-release ever for a Hindi film. In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan reminisced about working with the two superstars during the making of the film.

"A Simpler Time on Set": Roshan on Working with Shah Rukh and Salman When asked about the difference between working with stars then and now, Rakesh Roshan fondly recalled the simpler times of filmmaking in the 1990s.

"You won't believe it," he shared. "I made the entire film in 80-90 days. When we went for outdoor shoots, Shah Rukh’s room was 15 by 15 feet, and Salman’s was the same. Kajol and the others had similar rooms too. There was an ashram nearby, under construction. There were no hotels in that village. I gave them money and asked them to turn it into a hotel. I said, ‘Build a bathroom in every room.’ They said the rooms would become smaller, and I replied, ‘No problem. Just put an AC and a bathroom.’ Shah Rukh and Salman stayed there." “Like Waking Up Kids”: The Stars’ Morning Routine On being asked about the difference in acting styles between Shah Rukh and Salman, Roshan noted how their personalities blended seamlessly with their characters:

"When we were making the film, it never felt like acting. Shah Rukh behaved exactly like Arjun, and Salman was just like Karan. I would personally wake them up in the mornings. Many times, I would go to their rooms at 6 AM and say, ‘Shah Rukh, wake up.’ It was like waking up children. Salman, on seeing me, would pull a pillow over his face and say, ‘I’m getting ready.’ I would insist, ‘No, no, go to the bathroom and bathe.’ I wouldn’t leave their rooms until they were fully ready."

Aamir Khan reveals therapy helped him heal his relationship with daughter Ira Khan

Aamir Khan is working to repair his relationship with his daughter, Ira Khan. The actor shared that they are attending joint therapy to address and resolve their issues. In a Netflix India video, Aamir joined Ira and Dr. Vivek Murthy to discuss mental health.

During the chat Aamir said, “Therapy is so helpful. I think she (Ira) pushed me down that path. I would strongly recommend therapy to anyone who feels the need for it? It has been helpful for me. In fact, Ira and I also have started joint therapy. The two of us go to a therapist for our own relationship. To work on how to make that better and issues which have been there for over years.”

In a candid conversation on Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast “Chapter 2,” Aamir Khan expressed regret over his absence from his children’s lives, which he believes contributed to his decision to leave the film industry.

Aamir Khan, a prominent figure in Indian cinema for over three decades, acknowledged that the pandemic gave him a harsh wake-up call about his priorities. He admitted that his intense career focus had led him to miss key moments in the lives of his three children — Ira, Junaid, and Azad.

Aamir Khan recalled the struggles his children faced during his absence and expressed deep regret. He reflected, “Ira was struggling with depression at the time, she is much better now. But then she needed me. Junaid is starting his career. He has lived his life without me. And now, perhaps he is taking the last big step in his life, towards his career. If I am not with him at this time, then what’s the point? Azad is 9 years now. In another 3 years, he will be a teenager. His childhood won’t come back.”

Ira is Aamir's daughter from his first marriage to Reena Dutta, with whom he also has a son, Junaid. The couple divorced in 2002. Ira made her directorial debut in 2019 with the play Euripides' Medea, starring Hazel Keech. Aamir also has a son, Azad Rao Khan, with his second wife, Kiran Rao, from whom he announced their separation in July.

Govinda airlifted to Mumbai hospital following chest pain during campaign in Jalgaon: Report

Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was rushed to a Mumbai hospital on Saturday after experiencing health issues during a roadshow in Jalgaon as part of his campaign for the MahaYuti alliance. According to a report by IANS, the incident occurred while the actor was addressing voters in Pachora, one of the stops in his campaign across Muktainagar, Bodwad, Pachora, and Chopda.

Health Concerns During Campaign Initially, Govinda reported mild physical discomfort but soon began experiencing severe chest pain and leg discomfort. Following doctors' advice, he was urgently airlifted to a Mumbai hospital for immediate medical attention. His family accompanied him during the emergency transfer, and he received initial treatment upon arrival.

As of now, Govinda has not issued a statement about his condition, leaving fans and supporters concerned. Campaign for MahaYuti in Jalgaon Govinda has been an active supporter of the MahaYuti alliance, campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena, and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). During the roadshow, he encouraged citizens to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi by voting for the ruling coalition. Unfortunately, the actor had to cut short his event in Pachora due to his deteriorating health. Recent Health Scare: Gunshot Incident This recent health emergency comes just weeks after Govinda accidentally injured himself with a gunshot wound. On October 1, while cleaning his revolver at home, the weapon discharged, causing a bullet to hit his leg. The incident occurred early in the morning when Govinda was preparing to leave for an event in Kolkata. He was immediately taken to a hospital in Andheri for treatment.

Wedding functions to obtain music licence from Novex to play copyrighted movie songs

The Novex Musical Copyright License for marriages is indeed a hot topic, especially with Indian weddings becoming increasingly lavish and extravagant and the marriage season about to start. Recently, the Government of India released a public notice putting their previous notice, dated July 24, 2023, into abeyance. This earlier notice stated that musical copyright licenses weren't required for wedding events.

However, Novex appealed this decision before the Punjab and Haryana High Court, leading to the government's reversal. Now, all social events, including weddings, bachelor parties, sangeets, cocktail parties, mehendi ceremonies, receptions, and similar functions, require careful study and scrutiny by NOVEX's legal team.

To play copyrighted music at these events, hotels and event management companies must obtain permission or a license from Novex. This means they can't play copyrighted songs or music without Novex's consent. The Copyright Act, 1957, defines "copyright" as the exclusive right to perform or authorize performance of a work in public.

In essence, the court's decision in Novex Communications Pvt. Ltd. vs Union of India & Ors. established that DJ performances and similar events in a marriage are not covered under Section 52(1)(za) of the Copyright Act, as they're not necessary for the religious ceremony.

In an exclusive interview with esteemed Event and Film trade analyst Rajeev Chaudhari, Pratik Gandhi, Legal Advisor of NOVEX COMMUNICATIONS P. LTD, shed light on the vital importance of obtaining Novex NOC for corporate and social events. Gandhi emphasized, “Securing a Novex NOC is mandatory for event organizers utilizing Novex-licensed music. This certification ensures compliance with India's Musical Copyright Act, safeguarding the rights of music creators and supporting the Bollywood music industry.”

Gandhi stressed that Novex NOC is essential for Corporate events (conferences, product launches, etc.), social events (weddings with sangeets and mehendi and bachelor parties, etc.). Failure to obtain Novex NOC may result in Copyright infringement, Legal repercussions and Damage to reputation.

Nayanthara slams Dhanush in EXPLOSIVE open letter after he sends Rs 10 crores legal notice for Netflix documentary: “Your ego was hurt by success of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan”

In a no-holds-barred open letter, celebrated actor Nayanthara has addressed long-standing issues with fellow actor-producer Dhanush K Raja. The letter sheds light on the hurdles she faced in obtaining the necessary permissions for her Netflix documentary, which chronicles her journey in cinema and her personal life.

Nayanthara Alleges Personal Grudge Behind Denial Nayanthara accused Dhanush of deliberately refusing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to use elements from their hit film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in her documentary. Despite two years of attempts to secure permission, including requests for songs, visuals, and photographs, Dhanush allegedly declined approval.

The actor expressed her disappointment in the letter, noting that the songs of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan were deeply personal and integral to the narrative of her documentary. She stated: "Your refusal to give us the opportunity to use the songs, or even just the lyrics, broke my heart." Legal Dispute Over Documentary Footage Adding to the controversy, Nayanthara revealed that Dhanush issued a legal notice after the trailer's release, questioning the usage of behind-the-scenes clips—amounting to mere seconds of footage. The legal notice, which demanded Rs 10 crores in damages, left Nayanthara and her team startled. She criticised this move, calling it an "all-time low" and questioned his character: "Does a Producer become an Emperor controlling the lives, freedom, and liberty of all the persons on set?" Past Grievances and Public Criticism The letter also revisited grievances dating back to the release of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan nearly a decade ago. Nayanthara alleged that Dhanush's ego was bruised by the film's success, and his displeasure was evident during award functions. She wrote: "Your ego was supremely hurt after the film became a blockbuster... The words you said pre-release have left some unhealable scars."

She further accused Dhanush of fostering resentment toward her and her partner, affecting not only their documentary but also the collaborative efforts of their entire team. A Call for Reflection In the concluding parts of the letter, Nayanthara urged Dhanush to let go of past grievances and embrace a more positive outlook. She spoke about the importance of spreading love and appreciating others' successes, adding: "The world is a big place, it's meant for everyone. It's okay for people you know to come up in life... I hope and pray that someday you are also fully capable of spreading love and not just saying it."

Disha Patani’s father Jagdish Patani files FIR against four individuals for duping him of Rs. 25 lakhs

Disha Patani and her family have come in news after her father Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jagdish Patani has filed a complaint against four individuals for fraud and duping him of a whopping Rs. 25 lakhs in the name of providing a high position in a government commission. The names of the accused that have come to light include Shivendra Pratap Singh, Diwakar Garg, Acharya Jayaprakash, Preeti Garg, among others. The police investigation is currently underway and an FIR has been lodged regarding the same at Kotwali police station in Bareilly.

Confirming the details, the in-charge of Kotwali police station DK Sharma was quoted saying to NDTV, “A case has been registered against Shivendra Pratap Singh, Diwakar Garg, Acharya Jayaprakash from Juna Akhara, Preeti Garg, and one unidentified person for cheating, criminal intimidation, and extortion. Efforts are underway to arrest the accused and take strict action”. Meanwhile, as per reports, Jagdish Patani had invested a certain trust in Shivendra Pratap Singh whom he knew personally. The latter then introduced Patani to Jayaprakash and Diwakar when the conversation about getting him a high position started.

Furthermore, the accused assured Patani of having high-profile political contacts that will help him benefit and secure the offered position in the government commission easily. In order to gain his trust and reassure him regarding their credibility, reports suggested that the trio of Singh, Garg, and Acharya introduced a man named Himanshu as the ‘officer on special duty’ to Patani.

If that wasn’t all, the trio also took a lumpsum worth Rs. 25 lakhs wherein Rs. 5 lakhs were asked to be given in cash and Rs. 20 lakhs reportedly were transferred between three different accounts. However, when Jagdish Patani confronted them about returning the amount after seeing no progress in the matter for over three months, threats were issued to him, and it is being said that they also behaved aggressively. Owing to the matter getting out of hand, Patani decided to take legal and police action against the four individuals.

AP Dhillon to give a tribute to Punjabi music at India Tour

An insider reveals, “AP Dhillon wishes to make this tour a community-focussed one, bringing together both established and emerging talent on one platform.”
