South Korean actor Lee Do Hyun is reportedly in talks to star alongside Ra Mi Ran in JTBC’s new comedy drama Bad Mom (literal title). Directed by Shim Na Yeon and written by Bae Se Young, Bad Mom is a warm and touching comedy drama about Young Soon and her son Kang Ho. Lee Do Hyun’s agency Yuehua Entertainment shared, “Lee Do Hyun received an offer to star in ‘Bad Mom’ and is positively reviewing [the offer].”
According to Korean media portal Soompi, Lee Do Hyun has received a casting offer to play Kang Ho, who becomes a prosecutor as his mother wishes but loses his memory one day and becomes like a young child again. Ra Mi Ran will reportedly take on the role of Young Soon, who has become a “bad mom” while trying to do the best for her son.
Lee Do Hyun is known for his performances in dramas like Hotel Del Luna, 18 Again, Sweet Home, Beyond Evil, Youth of May, and Melancholia. He recently concluded filming The Glory with Song Hye Kyo and has also been cast in a new film with Choi Min Sik and Kim Go Eun.
Meanwhile, Ra Mi Ran has worked in film Sympathy For Lady Vengeance and has dramas like Reply 1988, Avengers Social Club, Miracle That We Met, Black Dog, Honest Candidate, and more.
