SCOOP: Brahmastra official budget is over Rs. 400 crores - Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt film creates history

The countdown for the release of the costliest Hindi film to date, Brahmastra has begun. The Ayan Mukerji directorial stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead with Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy in key roles. The film has been in the news for almost 8 years now and with just 8 days left for the release, we bring an exclusive scoop on the budget of this magnum opus.

According to our sources, the official budget of Brahmastra, excluding Print and Publicity expenses is Rs. 410 crores. "It's the costliest Bollywood film to date and the expenditure will be visible on each and every frame of the film. The idea was to create a big screen spectacle like never before and Ayan and his team have managed to come up with visuals that will blow away the mind of the audience. The trailer is just a tease, as visuals of the film are at another level," revealed a source close to Bollywood Hungama.

The entire team of Disney and Dharma are confident that Brahmastra will create magic not just in the hearts of people but also at the box office. "While there is an element of nervousness in the stakeholders, they are also silently confident about the project," the source revealed further, informing us that the pricing strategy of the film at multiplexes will be on par with the budget, but the experience will be value for money.

Brahmastra is the costliest Bollywood film to date and the hope is on it to reignite the fire in the box office game of the Hindi film industry. It is slated for a massive release on September 9, 2022. If the first part succeeds, the team will proceed with their idea of completing a Brahmastra trilogy.
