Govinda pays a moving tribute to Saroj Khan; says she taught him to dance when he had no money 

Ace choreographer Saroj Khan passed away on Monday after suffering a cardiac arrest. Several Bollywood celebrities took to social media to express their grief. Actor Govinda also took to his Instagram handle to share an emotional video paying a tribute to his 'masterji'.

Recalling their first meeting, Govinda said, “I came to you, wanting to learn dance. But I didn’t have money. And you told me, lovingly, we’ll worry about that later.”

“It is because of teachers like you that a common man like me, could go from Govind to Govinda. I cannot express myself in words right now,” he added. He also shared an old picture with Saroj Khan in which the two are seen having a fun conversation.

Saroj Khan who was 71 at the time of her death has choreographed over 2000 songs in a career spanning more than forty years. She is survived by her husband and three kids.
