Rakesh Roshan has weaved a grand re-release plan for Salman Khan – Shah Rukh Khan starrer Karan Arjun (1995). The director – producer who recently launched a new teaser of the 1995 cult classic reincarnation drama, has now collaborated with theatres across India to showcase the Karan Arjun teaser alongside Diwali releases Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

The teaser will be playing across multiplexes as well as single screens. Karan Arjun’s teaser has garnered over 30 million cumulative views across social media platforms and is presently trending on YouTube with over 5 lakh views on Tips’ YouTube channel.

Karan Arjun’s re-release marks to be the biggest re-release with the film set to witness a repeat run in cinemas worldwide, a feat that is a first for a re-running film.

Produced by Rakesh Roshan’s FilmKraft Production, Karan Arjun was also directed by Rakesh Roshan and emerged to be a box office juggernaut upon its release, becoming one of the highest-grossing films of 1995. It’s celebrated for Rajesh Roshan’s music, its thrilling action sequences, emotional depth, and the unforgettable chemistry between Salman  Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. It also featured an ensemble cast such a Rakhee Gulzar, Mamta Kulkarni, Kajol and Amrish Puri.

Set against a backdrop of reincarnation and revenge, the movie follows the journey of two brothers, Karan and Arjun, who are separated due to a family feud. Fate reunites them in their next lives as they seek justice and redemption.

Rakesh Roshan’s Karan Arjun is scheduled to re-release on November 22, 2024, globally.

Ajay Devgn suggests extra action for Kajol-starrer Maa, new scenes to be shot in November: Report

Kajol’s debut in the horror genre, Maa, directed by Vishal Furia, is undergoing final adjustments before its release. After watching the initial rushes of the film, the producer and Kajol’s husband Ajay Devgn suggested incorporating more action sequences to enhance the storyline. Devgn's input has set in motion an additional shoot scheduled for November in Mumbai.

Ajay Devgn Adds His Creative Input to Maa For the unversed, the upcoming film Maa, directed by Vishal Furia, wrapped its primary shoot in mid-May, but the team will return to the set for a few additional scenes. Devgn has been involved in Maa from its initial concept stage. A recent report by Mid-Day quoted a source saying, “Writer Saiwyn Quadras had pitched the concept to Ajay, who liked it and set things into motion. Recently, the actor watched the rough cut and loved it. That was immensely encouraging for Vishal, who has displayed his command over the genre with Chhorii [2021]. Ajay gave him a few inputs to enhance the narrative.”

The additional scenes are intended to heighten both the emotional and action-driven aspects of the film, creating a balance between horror and human connection. New Action Scenes To Be Directed by RP Yadav The additional scenes, recommended by Devgn, will be developed by action director RP Yadav, whose work on Tanhaji (2020) and Shaitaan received acclaim. Yadav’s contribution will align with Devgn's vision of making the film’s action realistic and emotion-driven, a departure from standard horror-action blends. “Since Maa is an emotion-driven story at its crux, the action needs to be contextual and realistic. Keeping that in mind, the action director and Furia are designing the new sequences,” added the source. Plot Premise of Maa and Kajol’s Role Set in the rural backdrop of Chandanpur in West Bengal, Maa centres on a mother, portrayed by Kajol, who must protect her daughter from a supernatural entity. This project holds a significant place for Kajol as her first horror film. Devgn reportedly suggested subtle additions to amplify the emotional weight of the mother-daughter relationship, believing it would intensify the audience's engagement with the story. “He felt adding some emotional moments would increase the audience’s investment in the mother-daughter story,” shared the insider.

To align with Kajol’s availability as she wraps up shooting for The Trial Season 2, the team will reconvene in November for a five-day shoot in Mumbai.

Singham Again’s release postponed in Singapore; Ajay Devgn-starrer and Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 banned in Saudi Arabia

The Hindi moviegoers are all set for the biggest clash of the year that will take place tomorrow, Friday, November 1, at the box office, between Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Both films will have a wide release and also overseas. However, moviegoers in some parts won’t be able to enjoy the Diwali biggies while those in Singapore will have to wait until a week to catch the Ajay Devgn-starrer.

Bollywood Hungama has learned that Singham Again’s release has been pushed by a week. As per sources, the decision was taken as the Censor process wasn’t completed on time. A source told us, “Singapore Censor Board is very strict and particular and has been known to behave this way. In the past as well, many films have suffered in a similar fashion.”

The source further said, “Singham Again is now expected to release next week, that is, Thursday, November 7.” As per the official press note, Singham Again will have a wide overseas release in 1900 screens, including a record-breaking 197 screens in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. In North America, it will be shown in more than 760 screens and in Canada, it has secured the highest number of screens in Cineplex, which contributes 80% of Canada’s box office. In the UK and Ireland, Singham Again has secured showcasing in 224 cinemas.

Meanwhile, Singham Again and the other Diwali release, the Kartik Aaryan-starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, have both been banned in Saudi Arabia. As per reports, while Singham Again will not release in the Asian country due to portrayal of 'religious conflict', Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is banned over homosexual references.

Besides Ajay Devgn, Singham Again also stars Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. It is directed by Rohit Shetty. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee, also features Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri.

At YRF, Pedro met the CEO of the company, Akshaye Widhani and the two spoke about the 50 year legacy of YRF and the forecast for Indian film industry in the next 5 years.

This is the first visit of any Spanish PM/Prez to India in 18 years and Pedro’s visit to YRF is a landmark moment for the Hindi film fraternity. YRF & Spain has incredibly strong cultural ties as Pathaan and War 2 were shot extensively in beautiful Spanish locations.

Nishad Yusuf, editor of Suriya’s Kanguva, passes away in Kochi weeks before the film’s release

Malayalam film editor Nishad Yusuf, known for his acclaimed work in the South Indian film industry, was found dead in his apartment in Kochi at approximately 2 am on Wednesday. The news was confirmed by the Malayalam media outlet Mathrubhumi. Yusuf was the editor of the upcoming Tamil fantasy action film Kanguva, led by superstar Suriya, scheduled for release on November 14.

At 42, Yusuf had already made a significant mark in the industry, with credits including the Tovino Thomas-led Thallumaala, Mammootty-starrer Unda, and Saudi Vellakka. His editing of Thallumaala earned him the Kerala State Film Award, cementing his reputation as a craft master.

A Career Marked by Success and Acclaim

Nishad Yusuf was widely celebrated for his ability to bring out the nuances in South Indian films, and his work on Kanguva was highly anticipated. Just a few days before his death, he had shared pictures on social media from a promotional event for Kanguva alongside Suriya and Bobby Deol. On his Instagram, he posted an image of the film’s editing room, captioning it, “Exciting 3D Work Happening For #Kanguva, happy and thrilled for THE EXPERIENCE???? KANGUVA in 3D from NOV 14.”

Besides Kanguva, Yusuf had also been working on the Malayalam action-thriller Bazooka, which stars Mammootty and is scheduled for a December release. Kanguva will now stand as Yusuf’s first posthumous release, making the film’s upcoming premiere a poignant milestone in his career.

BREAKING: Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 show sharing issues RESOLVED; advance booking begins with a BANG; Mumbai multiplex sets a RECORD by selling regular tickets for Rs. 1080

The epic clash of Singham Again vs Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is all set to take place in less than 48 hours and the excitement is tremendous. However, the exhibition sector was suffering as the show-sharing issues were not getting resolved. Many feared that the conflict would get resolved on Thursday night as it happened during Sooryavanshi vs Eternals clash on Diwali 2021. But in a pleasant turn of events, the show-sharing battle got over on the night of Tuesday, October 29. The advance booking for both films was open across the country soon after.

As per the details accessed by Bollywood Hungama, 60% of the shows have been allotted to Singham Again while 40% of the shows have been given to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. This arrangement can be seen in all major multiplex chains like PVR Inox, MovieMax, NY Cinemas, Rajhans, MovieTime, Miraj etc. However, in Cinepolis theatres, while Singham Again has been given 58% of shows, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has been allotted 42% of shows.

In the single screens, too, the ratio is 60:40 in favour of Singham Again. This means that these cinema halls will play 3 shows of Singham Again and 2 shows of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Certain single screens are known to play only 4 shows a day but this Diwali, they’ll make an exception and have 5 shows daily. Iconic cinemas like Raj Mandir, Jaipur and Liberty, Delhi are going to have 5 shows a day, which is a rare phenomenon.

However, as per sources, some single screen theatres have chosen to allot all shows to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 while some will play Singham Again in all shows. A similar scenario had emerged during the last such mega clash between Dunki and Salaar on Christmas 2023.

Skyhigh ticket rates

Meanwhile, get ready to shell out a huge amount while watching Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The theatres are all set to sell tickets of these films at blockbuster rates. Some multiplexes also have record ticket prices.

For example, PVR Maison at Jio World Drive, BKC, Mumbai are selling tickets for the regular seats (Prime Plus class) for as high as Rs. 1080 for the evening and night shows of Singham Again. And yet, these 2 shows are fast-filling already, which shows that there’s tremendous demand.

Paras Kalnawat and Nidhi Shah may have just dropped a hint about Rupali Ganguly being responsible for their exit; say, “Our scenes were cut”

Anupama has garnered quite a bit of eyeballs recently and not for a good reason. The sudden exit of some of the most popular actors from the show has definitely piqued the interest of audiences. The Star Plus show, which has managed to keep up with the likes and demands of viewers for the past two years by retaining its top position in terms of TRP, found itself in soup after Sudhanshu Pandey playing Vanraj Shah, one of the three key protagonists on the show, decided to call it quits. Followed by that, a leap was announced which resulted in the exit of most of the actors from the show including Madalsa Sharma, Nidhi Shah, Nishi Saxena, Kunwar Amar, among others.

While during a past interview, Madalsa, who played Kavya in the Star Plus show, opened up about how her relationship with Rupali Ganguly gradually fell apart and even accused of the actress of talking behind her back, Paras Kalnawat and Nidhi Shah too may have hinted about Rupali Ganguly. Although neither of them took names, the two actors asserted that they were facing several issues on the sets of Anupama, which eventually led to their exit. Speaking about how he was thrown out of the show over two years ago in a podcast with Bhaktiyar Irani and Ali Asgar, Paras, who played Anupama’s youngest son Samar, revealed that he wanted out of the show but the contract was such that he couldn’t quit.

“It’s been two and a half years now; I was the first one to leave. It was all of a sudden. I didn’t know if I was quitting or being thrown out. I wanted to leave, but they don’t have a policy where you can quit. They can only fire you; they get satisfaction in doing that. There is no exit clause; if you want to leave, the terms go bad." He also went on to add that he wanted his track to get better but it wasn’t possible because of ‘a certain person’. "I wanted my track to grow, but someone had abruptly ended it. I know who it was. But because it was the number one show, the channel never intervened. If someone said she had a problem shooting with me, no one would question her. Everyone knows who had the problem”, he added.

Nidhi Shah too supported the statement by adding how she had reached her trigger point because of ‘a person’. “There had come a trigger point; it was a person. Our scenes were repetitive, and we kept fighting. At one point, we just didn’t want to do the scenes. There was a time when we just didn’t want to work with each other on the show. We would just want to stay away from each other on set too," she shared and also continued, “My scenes were cut too, and there was an issue with my clothes and hair as well. It happened to me a lot because I was given better clothes.”

When asked directly about facing issues with Rupali Ganguly, Shah maintained, “She is a talented actress, and I’m not just being diplomatic. Out of the ten of us, a couple created issues.”

Apart from speaking about themselves, Nidhi also threw light on the fact that Sudhanshu Pandey was extremely unwell but was forced to shoot long scenes with extensive dialogues.

For the unversed, Anupama is one of the most popular television serials which airs on Star Plus, featuring Rupali in the titular character and is produced by Rajan Shahi.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, set to begin filming on November 7: Report

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is gearing up to commence production on his highly anticipated romantic-action drama, tentatively titled Love & War. The film, which boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, is scheduled to hit theatres on March 20, 2026. After facing a slight delay due to unfavourable weather conditions in Mumbai, the production is now set to kick off on November 7.

As per a report in Pinkvilla, Ranbir Kapoor will be the first to join the sets, filming his solo sequences for a few weeks. Subsequently, Vicky Kaushal will join the cast, and Alia Bhatt is expected to commence her shoot after wrapping up her current project, Alpha, in early December.

Bhansali has meticulously planned the shooting schedule, allocating over 200 days for Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal to dedicate to the film. Ranbir Kapoor, on the other hand, is aiming to complete his portion by July or August 2025, as he has commitments to other projects, including Ramayana: Part 2, Dhoom 4, and Animal Park.

Alia Bhatt, who was initially considering a romantic film for a November 2025 start, is now re-evaluating her post-Love & War projects. Similarly, Vicky Kaushal is exploring options for films to begin after November 2025.

Love & War is being self-financed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, marking a significant departure from his usual studio collaborations. While there's potential for a studio partnership in the future, the team is currently moving forward with the self-financing model.

The film is expected to be shot across various locations in India over the course of a year, concluding in October 2025. Industry insiders suggest that Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal will portray Indian Armed Forces officers in the film. And now, we bring you another exclusive news item on Baby John.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Baby John’s teaser will be attached not just with Singham Again but also with the other Diwali release, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Both films are expected to draw a huge crowd and hence, this will be the ideal opportunity to present the teaser and let a large chunk of the audience know that Varun Dhawan is all set to showcase his massy avatar this Christmas.”

The source continued, “One of the producers of Baby John is Murad Khetani, who is also involved with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. And just like Baby John, Singham Again is also backed by Jio Studios. This is probably why the teaser of Varun Dhawan’s next will be presented with both films this Diwali.”

Sharing more details, the source said, “The teaser of Baby John is 2 minutes long. In a unique initiative, it’ll be available only in cinemas on November 1. It’ll be unveiled on digital the next day, that is, Saturday, November 2.”

Baby John, directed by Kalees, arrives in cinemas on December 25. Besides Varun Dhawan, it also stars Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi. Along with Murad Khetani's Cine1 Studios and Atlee's A For Apple Productions, it is also backed by Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios.

At the Big Cine Expo 2024, an exhibitor asked whether it was a remake of any film. Atlee confessed, “It’s a pure adaptation from Theri, which is a blockbuster film I made in 2016. Even after that film was released, incidents (against women) are still happening all around the world. So, we have given a new touch to it and the film is in sync with the current scenario. We have also adapted a few real incidents.”

A few days ago, we reported about the censor cuts of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and now we bring to you the exclusive censor report of the other big release this Friday, Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and Jackie Shroff.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted a U/A certificate to Singham Again. However, the film had to go through several modifications. At two places, the Examining Committee asked the makers to suitably modify the 23-second-long ‘match cut’ visuals depictions of Lord Rama, Sita Mata and Lord Hanuman with that of Singham, Avni and Simmba respectively. Similarly, a 23-second-long visual of ‘Singham with Shri Ram, touching feet’ was ‘suitably modified’.

The makers were then asked to delete the 16-second visual of Raavan grabbing, pulling and pushing Sita in the drama scene. A 29-second scene of ‘Hanuman burning and dialogue of Simmba flirting’ was deleted.

At 4 places, the dialogue of the character of Zubair were deleted and suitably modified and at other places, the dialogue between Zubair and Simmba were modified. The visuals of the Constitutional head were deleted and his dialogues were suitably modified in 2 places. Presumably in one of these scenes, the visual of Avni was also suitably modified.

A 26-second dialogue and visuals were deleted and suitably modified as it "affected international diplomatic relations of India with neighbouring state". Then, a scene of the beheading inside the police station was blurred. The colour of the religious flag was suitably modified and in the same sequence, the use of the 'Shiv Strota' in the background score was removed. Finally, a dialogue of Zubair, 'Teri kahaani ka Raavan main hoon, tere chahite ko bhej', was suitably modified. In the same scene, the colour of the flag was also modified.

Finally, the CBFC asked the makers to redraft the disclaimer stating that “This film is purely a work of fiction...Although the film is inspired by the story of Lord Ram, neither its narrative nor the characters should be viewed as revered deities…The story features contemporary characters of today...or societies, and their cultures, customs, practices, and traditions.” This disclaimer lasts 1 minute and 19 seconds while the total length of the cuts is 7 minutes and 12 seconds.

Once these changes were made, the CBFC passed the film on October 28. The final length of Singham Again is now 144.12 minutes. In other words, it is 2 hours 24 minutes and 12 seconds long. It releases on Friday, November 1.

A few minutes ago, blockbuster filmmaker Rakesh Roshan tweeted that the teaser of Karan Arjun (1995) will be unveiled today, that is, Monday, October 28 at 12 noon. He wrote, “Back in the 90’s there were no film teasers, but today I’m very excited to present the Karan Arjun teaser to you all! Stay tuned at 12 pm.”

Last week, there were also reports that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed a one minute teaser of Karan Arjun and it had also got people excited about its re-release.

Karan Arjun is a significant film as it starred superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan and features them as brothers who loved each other to death. It also starred Kajol, Mamta Kulkarni, Rakhee Gulzar and Amrish Puri. The film is remembered for its epic casting, hit songs, powerful subject and memorable dialogues.

It now remains to be seen if Karan Arjun re-releases and if yes, when will it release in cinemas.

“Salman Khan ko mandir jaa kar maafi maang leni chahiye”; says farmer leader Rakesh Tikait amid death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi

Salman Khan has been facing continuous threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi concerning the blackbuck case. Recently, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait suggested he seek forgiveness by visiting a temple, labelling Bishnoi a “badmaash aadmi.”

Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait strongly advised Salman Khan to visit a temple and seek forgiveness. Shortly after Baba Siddique's murder, Tikait hinted that it might be safer for Salman to apologize directly to Lawrence Bishnoi. He stressed that this issue goes beyond Salman and holds wider significance for society.

In a report by Hindustan Times, Rakesh Tikait said, “Yeh samaj se juda hua mamla hai. Salman Khan ko mandir jaa kar maafi maang leni chahiye, nahi toh jail me band aadmi pata nahi kab tapakwa de.” (This is a matter that is connected to the society. Salman Khan should go to a temple and apologise, else you never know when the person in jail might do something to harm him).

He also described Lawrence Bishnoi as a dangerous individual and stated, “Badmaash aadmi hai who.”

Salman Khan has been under heavy security since receiving death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi's gang, stemming from a longstanding feud related to the unresolved 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Despite no definitive resolution, Bishnoi has persisted in issuing threats against the actor’s life.

The issues began when Salman was implicated in the blackbuck poaching incident during the filming of Hum Saath Saath Hain in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, sparking a 26-year-long legal battle. During this time, he faced a series of arrests, bail hearings, and court verdicts. In reaction to this prolonged legal conflict, Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang have made open threats against him.

Earlier this year, shots were fired outside Salman’s Galaxy apartment in Mumbai, escalating tensions following Siddique’s murder. Recently, on October 27, 2024, members of the Bishnoi community also burned effigies of Salman and his father, Salim Khan, protesting statements they saw as misleading regarding the blackbuck case.

Shanaya Kapoor kicks off her debut Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan with Vikrant Massey

After reports of her first film Bedhadak being shelved, star kid and social media diva Shanaya Kapoor has been eagerly awaiting an opportunity to make her screen debut. And it seems that she has bagged an interesting venture which will feature her alongside popular actor Vikrant Massey, basking in the success of 12th Fail. The film in question is a romantic drama titled Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan and while reports of the same started surfacing earlier this month, the makers along with the cast have confirmed that the film has gone on floors.

Vikrant Massey confirmed the news by posting pictures on his social media platform. The actor along with the entire team of the film shared a photo of them holding a clapperboard as they commenced the shoot for their upcoming venture. Speaking about the film, it is described as, “Love is Blind… or is it the blind love? What is extraordinary is falling in love!” in the caption. It further read, “Mini Films brings to you Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, a contemporary take on romance and ghosting. Join us on this unforgettable journey of love and incredible music.”

Khan, who rarely posts on the platform, took to X aka Twitter, to announce the news about the tour along with the other members like his Dabangg co-star Sonakshi Sinha, Kick co-star Jacqueline Fernandez, Bharat co-star Disha Patani, Wanted filmmaker Prabhu Deva, and along with them, Tamannaah Bhatia, Maniesh Paul, Aastha Gill, and Sunil Grover will also be joining him.

Meanwhile, coming to work commitments, Salman Khan is gearing up for Eid release next year, in April 2025 as he will be marking his return to theatres with the Sajid Nadiadwala production Sikandar. Lawrence Bishnoi’s community burns effigies of Salman Khan and Salim Khan to make a statement

After the assassination of influential political figure Baba Siddiqui, the security for the Khan family has been immensely beefed up. Meanwhile, the feared gangster Lawrence Bishnoi continues to issue death threats to Salman Khan, who has now decided to refrain from making too many public appearances. Amid all this, Bishnoi community have held a protest where they have been burning effigies of Khan and his father Salim Khan.

According to current reports, members of the Bishnoi community gathered on Saturday in Jaipur to showcase their anger towards the statement made by Salim Khan insisting his son’s innocence in the 1998 blackbuck killing case. The community members were seen burning effigies of the superstar and his father and even released a statement regarding the same. As per a report by Hindustan Times, the statement read, "We are Bishnois, we do not defame anyone just like that. When the case was registered 26 years ago, many dignitaries, including the then MLA of the Bishnoi community, were present. Salim Khan cannot mislead people by giving false statements. The entire community was hurt by Salim Khan's statement. We will make all-out efforts to ensure justice was delivered in the Blackbuck case. We will also protest by taking to the streets”.

Coming to the statement made by Salim Khan, the writer-poet had said that his son would never hurt an animal when he opened up about the 1998 blackbuck killing case. Despite the superstar being acquitted, the Bishnoi community not only continues to hold him responsible but have also threatened them to issue an apology since blackbucks are considered extremely sacred by their communitu.

Not too long ago, Salman Khan and Salim Khan approached the Mumbai police after they received random threats which were later reported to be from Lawrence Bishnoi. Furthermore, in April, the Khan family underwent trauma when their building Galaxy apartment was attacked by two shooters. Followed by this and the demise of Baba Siddique, the Khan family have been promised high-level security in order to safeguard their lives.

SCOOP: PVRInox likely to allot 60 percent showcasing for Singham Again

India's leading exhibitor, PVRInox, which controls nearly 35 percent of the business of feature films in the Hindi language, has taken the call to allot 60 percent of screen space to Singham Again during the Diwali 2024 period. According to sources, the decision has been taken keeping in mind the demand from the cinema-going audience all across the board.

A trade source shared with Bollywood Hungama, "The argument on showcasing has been going on for the longest time, and the leading national chain has decided to allot 60 percent showcasing to Singham Again at all India level. The multiplex chain has a 35 percent contribution to the business of feature films and has gone ahead with preferential screening to Singham Again."

The source shares further, "It's a business decision of demand meets supply, as Singham Again is huge in terms of the budgets and the star cast. The 60:40 split is for Day one, and required action will be taken on Day 2 and Day 3 based on audience word of mouth."

We hear the higher performing locations in the national chains have gone to Singham Again, and this is a last-minute masterstroke from Jio Studios, as Anil Thadani was doing his best to secure single screens for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, by offering a clubbed deal with Pushpa 2. The two films are set to hit the big screens on November 1, 2024.

Superstar Salman Khan, who would be taking the class of contestants, like he does every week, as he discusses the events of the past episodes, opened up about Karan Veer Mehra in this new video clip. The superstar took a jibe at his past divorces, however, the television star’s fans have come in support of him.

In fact, he made a sarcastic remark about how Karan couldn’t handle his family outside the house and is unable to do the same inside house, pointing at the two divorces of the actor. Salman Khan said, “Karan bahar aap parivaar jod nahi paaye, aur yahan bhi parivaar jod nahi parahe ho. Aap koi bhi cheeze complete nahi kar paate ho. Yeh jo kone kone mein kar rahe ho, yeh khulle mein karo (Karan, you couldn’t hold your family together outside, you aren’t able to do so inside the house either. You aren’t able to complete anything you started. Whatever game you are playing in a corner of the room, do it openly).”

The comments made by the superstar, however, hasn’t gone down well with the fans. Many of them have dropped comments, showcasing their support towards Mehra with a few others also insisting that Karan is possibly one of the contestants who really knows how to play the game.

According to the insider, the Chulbul Pandey cameo will go down in history as one of the best cameos by Salman Khan. "It's a proper 2-minute sequence to introduce Dabangg Khan - Salman - into the world of Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe. He gets the right elevation with a mass presentation, and the aura on the screen will evoke seeti-maar response from the cinema-going audience. Rohit Shetty presents his heroes like superheroes and Salman is a superhero himself, so the presentation is beyond what anyone is thinking," a source told Bollywood Hungama.

The source further added that the cameo placement is a lot like Akshay Kumar in Sooryavanshi and Hrithik Roshan in Tiger 3. "It's a post-credit sequence, but worth every penny of the ticket. Await the masses to welcome Chulbul Pandey with open arms. The sequence will set the base for future timelines of Shetty's ambitious cop universe. Surbhi Jyoti, who catapulted to fame with her role as Zoya in the TV serial Qubool Hai, is all set to get married to her longtime boyfriend, Sumit Suri. Surbhi and Sumit will be tying the knot at a luxury resort in Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand. Initially, the couple had planned to tie the knot in Rajasthan, but due to difficulties in securing their desired venue, they postponed their wedding from March this year. The wait is finally over, as Surbhi Jyoti and Sumit Suri will exchange vows on October 27th.

Earlier, Surbhi and Sumit had plans to marry in March and had even started looking for a site in Rajasthan. However, due to issues with the venue and preparation, the couple decided to reschedule.

Talking about their relationship, Surbhi and Sumit have been friends for a long time. The duo earlier collaborated on a music video, Haanji - The Marriage Mantra, where they played a bride and groom.

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal’s first venture as producers, Girls Will Be Girls, continues its remarkable journey on the global stage, sweeping multiple awards at the prestigious MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2024. Khwaabon Ka Jhamela starring Prateik Babbar and Sayani Gupta to release on JioCinema Premium on November 8, see first poster

Jio Studios and Baweja Studios are teaming up once again for Khwaabon Ka Jhamela, a quirky romantic comedy directed by Danish Aslam. This film, featuring Prateik Babbar, Sayani Gupta, and Kubbra Sait, will premiere on JioCinema Premium on 8th November. This rom-com marks the second collaboration between the two studios, following the acclaimed Mrs., which starred Sanya Malhotra in the lead and has earned accolades at international film festivals.

Shot in India & the UK, Khwaabon Ka Jhamela revolves around Zubin, a guy with a knack for numbers but not romance, who faces rejection when his fiancée, Shehnaz, turns down his proposal due to his bedroom blunders. Seeking solace, he meets Ruby, a spirited intimacy coordinator & they strike a quirky deal, leading to a hilarious journey of self-improvement & the possibility of love.

EXCLUSIVE: Vidya Balan's father P R Balan makes a funny acting debut in Twinkle Khanna's production Go Noni Go

Akshay Kumar, wife Twinkle Khanna and mother-in-law Dimple Kapadia made a rare appearance at the premiere of the film Go Noni Go at MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2024. It is based on the short story ‘Salaam Noni Appa’ written by Twinkle Khanna. She has also produced the film and stars Dimple Kapadia in the lead. Akshay graced the premiere to cheer for his family. The others present at the premiere were actors Manav Kaul and Rohan Mehra, director Sonal Dabral and fellow producers Sameer Nair, Atul Kasbekar and Tanuj Garg. A short Q-and-A session followed after the film screening.

Go Noni Go is unique for several reasons. To begin with, it features the voiceover of producer-director Karan Johar. He plays the sutradhar of the film and is also the voice of the car that Noni (Dimple Kapadia) drives in the film. The car, an old red-coloured Fiat, is interestingly named Basanti! And that’s not all. Vidya Balan’s father, P R Balan, makes his acting debut in this slice-of-life film.

Atul Kasbekar explained how they got him on board, “When the role was written for a certain Mr Banker, who’s the chairman of the MCP Co-operative Bank, I told the team, ‘The person we need should be someone like Vidya Balan’s father’. Tanuj and I talked about it and we decided to ask Vidya first about it.”

Atul continued, “We asked Vidya. There was a deafening stunned silence from the other end. Then, in an almost angry voice, she said, ‘Please don’t give such ridiculous ideas. Thank you very much’! She hung up!”

Atul Kasbekar then said, “That night, she called, sounding mildly apologetic. She said, ‘One moment, please’. The next person on the line is Mr Balan. He told me, ‘If you want me to act in a movie, you ask me. Why are you asking her?’!”

This is when the audience was informed that P R Balan was present in the audience. He stood up and the whole theatre clapped for his wonderful acting debut.

Director Sonal Dabral revealed, “The first time I met Mr Balan, he had memorized all the lines. I was absolutely amazed.”

P R Balan has been the Vice-President of ETC Channel and was once also the executive vice-president of Digicable.

Adnan Siddiqui lashes out at Kriti Sanon and the Do Patti music team over the recreation of ‘Akhiyaan De Khol’

Adnan Siddiqui, who is best known for his role in Sridevi starrer Mom, recently took to social media to slam the recreation of a Pakistani song ‘Akhiyaan De Khol’ which was remixed for the upcoming Netflix thriller Do Patti. The song features Kriti Sanon dancing in a sexy red bodycon jumpsuit which has not gone down well with the Pakistani actor. He has taken to the social media platform to share his displeasure over this kind of ‘obscenity’ and furthermore, he has also received immense support from the social media fam.

Taking to social media platform X, Adnan Siddiqui shared a photo of Kriti Sanon from the song ‘Akhiyaan De Khol’ and wrote, “Imitation can be flattering, but not when it means tearing apart a classic by a legend. Please show some respect for Reshma jee and the legacy she left behind. Her music deserves to be treated with the dignity it commands, not reduced to just another sordid ripoff.” Many social media users too vouched for the same and called the song ‘disrespectful’ towards the original singers and musicians. “Thank you for saying this. What an obscene way to honour the legend that Reshma ji is. Just the audacity makes me puke. Thank you”, read one of the comments. “I agree with you. Reshma ji's song has been used for a cabaret which is highly offensive. Also a blatant disregard of folk music. Bollywood needs a wake-up call.”, said another fan. Speaking of the song in Do Patti, ‘Akhiyaan De Khol’ is composed by the famous Tanishk Bagchi, who is known for his contemporary remixes, along with Shilpa Rao singing it and Kausar Munir rewriting the lyrics. Coming to the film, it is a Netflix thriller featuring Kriti Sanon in a never-before-seen avatar of rival twins along with Kajol playing a cop and marking the film debut of renowned TV actor Shaheer Sheikh. Also marking Sanon’s debut production and co-produced by Kanika Dhillon, the film will be releasing on October 25.

Aamir Khan and Suriya eye simultaneous shoot for Ghajini 2?: "Allu Aravind approached me with the idea for a sequel"

Aamir Khan and Suriya are both excited about the potential of Ghajini 2, though they prefer not to label it a remake. Reports suggest that Aamir has been in talks with producers Allu Aravind and Madhu Mantena regarding a sequel to the 2008 blockbuster. The producers have presented a concept to Aamir, who has requested a developed storyboard before moving forward.

In an interesting twist, Allu Aravind plans to produce Ghajini 2 in Tamil, with Suriya set to take on the lead role. Suriya confirmed this development in a recent interview, expressing his enthusiasm for the project. He stated to Pinkvilla, “It’s surprising you asked about Ghajini 2 now. After a long time, Allu Aravind approached me with the idea for a sequel, and I was excited to discuss it. Yes, the talks have started, and things are in process. Ghajini 2 might just happen!”

A source told the publication, “With things going Pan India, remakes of cult films with popular stars are a thing of the past now. Both Suriya and Aamir Khan are excited by the idea of Ghajini 2, but don’t want the remake tag on their film. They are also concerned that the film arriving first will take away the novelty factor and conveyed their concerns to the producers. On hearing out both the actors, Allu Aravind and Madhu Mantena came up with a solution of shooting for the two Ghajini films at the same time frame and bring them to the big screen on the same day.”

Earlier, it was reported by the publication that Aamir Khan is also contemplating a sequel to his blockbuster hit Ghajini. The original, which became India’s first film to cross the Rs. 100 crores mark at the box office, could potentially evolve into a franchise. "Aamir has been in discussions with producer Allu Aravind and the creative team, including Madhu Mantena, about the possibility of Ghajini 2. He believes the story has room to grow into a series, but he’s waiting on a strong script before moving forward," said the source. According to the source, Jet Set Go is a subject close to the heart of Karan Johar, and he is excited to make his debut as a director on Netflix with a series like Jet Set Go, which is a pure family entertainer. "Karan is aiming to introduce a new flavour of story telling with Jet Set Go. He is enthusiastic to take this on floors by February," the source told us further.

Yash confirms portrayal of Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana; says, “I really like the shades and the nuances of particular character”

Several reports had claimed that Yash declined the role of Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. However, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Yash broke his silence, confirming that he will indeed portray Ravana in the film, which also features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Yash added that Ravana is likely the only character he would consider playing in the epic.

In the interview, Yash shared that his first introduction to Ramayana came during a conversation with Namit Malhotra of DNEG and Prime Focus. Yash was impressed by Namit's passion, and their perspectives on the project aligned with his vision. Namit then asked if Yash would be interested in playing the role of Ravana in the film.

Yash said, “If the character is treated like a character… if this doesn’t happen today, then the film won’t happen. To make a film with that kind of budget, you need those kind of actors to come together and work for the project. It has to be beyond yourself and your stardom. We have to place the project and the vision first.” He added that the conversation progressed and he chose to co-produce the picture.

He added, “It’s a very fascinating character. I wouldn’t have done it for any other reason. In Ramayana, if you had asked me, ‘Would you play any other character?’ Probably not. For me, Ravana is the most exciting character to play as an actor so I really like the shades and the nuances of particular character. There’s vast scope to present it in a very different way. As an actor, I am very excited. Hopefully, it’s going to be a very unique approach to it.”

Pre-production for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is reportedly in full swing. Earlier this year, a leaked photo from the set, showing Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi in costume, went viral on social media. Though the team has yet to make an official announcement, the film has been generating strong buzz for some time. The makers are targeting a 2025 release.

Salman Khan to postpone the shoot of Sikandar: Report

Salman Khan, who will mark his return in theatres in a massy avatar in Sikandar, kicked off this project with Sajid Nadiadwala earlier this year amid much excitement. However, the film seems to have faced a hurdle in the aftermath of the assassination of Baba Siddique. With the Khan family worried over the shooting outside their residence, followed by the demise of a close friend and an influential political figure, we hear that Salman has decided to stay put for the next few days at least.

Although the exact time has not been decided as to how long will Salman Khan will not be participating in the shoot, sources close to the actor have reportedly asserted that it is the best solution for the star as of now. “It is no longer enough to provide him stern security. For some time now, Salman would have to lie really now. He won’t be shooting for anything for quite a while, indefinitely I’d say,” a source was quoted saying to Times Now.

The source also mentioned about how Sikandar requires extreme dedication from Khan, which he will not be able to provide considering the emotional turmoil he has been undergoing after the sudden demise of Siddique. “Abhi kuch nahin kaha jaa sakta hai (Nothing can be said as of now). Sikandar requires a whole lot of choreographed action. Director Murugadoss needed Salman’s full attention. But right now that seems impossible. The way ahead is still very unclear. Right now, the most important thing is Salman and his family’s safety. That won’t be compromised under any circumstance,” the source added.

Coming to Sikandar, the film has A R Murugadoss as the director and boasts of an ensemble cast with Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady and Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, among others playing key roles. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is scheduled to release during Eid 2025. But, it is yet to be seen if the makers will be retaining this release date, after Khan’s sudden decision to take a break.

ZEE5 has released the trailer for its original series and psychological drama ‘Mithya – The Darker Chapter.’ Directed by Kapil Sharma and produced by Applause Entertainment in association with Rose Audio Visual Production, the show explores the complex relationship between two half-sisters, Juhi (played by Huma Qureshi) and Rhea (played by Avantika Dassani), as they seek revenge and retribution. Set to stream on ZEE5 this Diwali, Mithya also features Naveen Kasturia, Rajit Kapoor, Indraneil Sengupta, Avantika Akerkar, Rushad Rana, and Krishna Bisht in supporting roles.

The trailer for ‘Mithya – The Darker Chapter’ immerses viewers in the psychological drama between half-sisters Juhi and Rhea. Juhi, riding high on the success of her book "Dhund," faces plagiarism accusations from a mysterious writer, Amit Chaudhary (played by Naveen Kasturia). Meanwhile, Rhea continues her scheming to win their father's love. However, her pursuit of love and acceptance may escalate into a battle of revenge and manipulation. SCOOP: Salman Khan's Chulbul Pandey cameo dropped from Singham Again - Here’s why fans won’t see the epic crossover

The fans who were waiting for an epic crossover of Bajirao Singham and Chulbul Pandey in Singham Again are likely to be disappointed as destiny has taken away the biggest moment of 2024. While Salman Khan was all set to shoot for his Singham Again cameo on Monday, October 14, 2024, the shoot was canceled owing to the demise of Baba Siddiqui.

"The one-day shoot was scheduled to take place at Golden Tobacco in Mumbai, however, owing to the sudden demise of Baba Siddiqui, the shoot was canceled. Rohit and Ajay then had discussions internally and felt that it would be insensitive to request Salman Khan to shoot amid all the controversy. The duo was racing against time to submit their film to the censors, and have decided to submit the film without the appearance of Salman Khan," a source told Bollywood Hungama.

The source further added that there is a possibility of a backshot of Chulbul Pandey in the post-credit scene, however, we are not sure if that idea has made it to the final shot or not. "Shooting with Salman, just a day or two after the death of Baba Siddiqui was insensitive. And Rohit had to submit Singham Again to the censors by Friday - October 18. That's when they took the tough call to move on and respect the privacy of Salman Khan," the source told us further.

For those unaware, Salman Khan had agreed to do a cameo in Singham Again out of his love of Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty, however, the situation took a major U-Turn, eventually scrapping the shoot plans. If we now get a backshot of Chulbul Pandey or not - is something to discover on big screen on Diwali.

Karan Johar strikes GOLD in Adar Poonawalla’s MEGA Deal – Invests Rs. 1,000 cr. in Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for a 50% stake which is now valued at Rs. 2,000 cr.

Adar Poonawalla led Serene Productions today announced that it has entered into a binding agreement to invest INR 1,000 crore into Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Dharmatic Entertainment (collectively, “Dharma”), India’s leading production house. Through this investment, Serene Productions will hold a 50% stake in Dharma, with Karan Johar retaining the remaining 50% ownership.

Choreographer Remo D'Souza and his wife Lizelle D'Souza have found themselves at the center of a controversy after being accused of a Rs 11.96 crores fraud by a dance troupe. The couple, however, has firmly denied the allegations and urged the public and media to avoid spreading rumors until the facts are clarified.

Remo and Lizelle’s Statement on the Allegations On Sunday, Remo and Lizelle took to their Instagram accounts to issue a joint statement in response to the viral news. They expressed their disappointment over the media reports and stressed that no concrete facts have been established. Their statement read:

"It has come to our notice through media reports that some complaint has been registered alleging fraud in regards to a certain dance troupe. It's disheartening that such information has been published. We would like to request everyone to abstain from spreading rumours before ascertaining true facts."

The couple also reassured their supporters that they will continue to cooperate with the authorities. "We shall put our case forward in due time and will continue to cooperate with the authorities in every way possible like we have done so far," the statement added. In closing, they thanked their fans for their unwavering support: "We would like to thank our family, friends and fans for the outpouring of love and continuous support."

The Rs 11.96 Crores Fraud Allegation The accusation against Remo and Lizelle stems from a complaint filed by a 26-year-old dancer at Mira Road police station. The dancer claims that he and his troupe were cheated out of Rs 11.96 crores between 2018 and July 2024. The police have launched an investigation into the matter, and the case is currently under review.

Bollywood megastar Salman Khan has taken proactive measures to enhance his personal security following a recent death threat issued by a notorious criminal gang. The threat, issued by associates of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has escalated tensions surrounding the actor's safety.

Bishnoi's gang, known for their involvement in organized crime and their protection of the blackbuck, a species considered sacred by the Bishnoi community, has accused Khan of a role in the illegal hunting of blackbucks. This ongoing dispute has led to a series of threats and intimidation tactics directed at the actor.

As per a Mid-dDay report, in response to the escalating threats, Khan has made significant investments in his personal security. One such measure involves the acquisition of a high-tech, bulletproof vehicle from Dubai. This armoured vehicle, valued at a substantial sum of Rs. 2 crores, is equipped with state-of-the-art safety features designed to protect against a range of potential threats.

The vehicle's advanced security features include explosive alert systems, reinforced glass capable of withstanding point-blank gunfire, and advanced camouflage technology to conceal the occupants from identification. Given the vehicle's specialized nature, it was necessary to import it from Dubai as it is not readily available in the Indian market.

This is not the first time Khan has taken such precautions. Last year, he also imported a bulletproof vehicle in response to earlier threats from the same criminal organization.

Despite the heightened security measures, Khan remains committed to his professional obligations. He has continued to fulfill his role as the host of the popular reality television show, Bigg Boss. The production team behind the show has implemented stringent security protocols to ensure Khan's safety while on set.

Khan's presence on the Bigg Boss set has been accompanied by a significant increase in security personnel. Guards have been instructed to verify the identification of all individuals entering the compound, and checkpoints have been established to monitor access. Additionally, the production crew has been instructed to remain on-site until the conclusion of each filming session. According to documents reviewed by Zapkey, Arpita registered the property on February 4, 2022, paying a stamp duty of Rs 40 lakh. The location is not only desirable but also close to the Bombay Gymkhana, with rental rates for similar properties ranging from Rs 1.75 lakh to Rs 2 lakh per month.

Now, in 2024, the couple has sold the Khar house for Rs 22 crores, showcasing a significant profit on their investment. Details about the buyer have not been disclosed, but the news has sparked excitement across social media platforms. Aayush and Arpita Buy New Home in Worli While the specifics of Aayush and Arpita’s new home in Worli remain under wraps, the couple has yet to release an official statement regarding their move. On a similar note, it is worth mentioning here that Bollywood Hungama recently reported that the film has recovered the entire sum of Rs 90 crores, indicating that future earnings from music rights and theatrical releases will be considered profit for Dharma Productions.
