Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani to get married on February 22 in Goa: Report

Popular Bollywood couple Rakul Preet Singh and actor-turned-producer Jackky Bhagnani are all set to tie the knot in February 2024 in Goa. The couple will be tying the knot in an intimate ceremony on February 22, as per a report in Hindustan Times.

As source revealed to the publication, "Rakul and Jackky are getting married on February 22, in Goa. They are being really hush-hush about it, as they want to keep the affair very intimate.”

The source said, “They are really private people and want to keep the wedding also private.” The couple is enjoying their holidays before beginning their prep for wedding festivities. “Jackky is currently in Bangkok (Thailand) for his bachelor party. In fact, Rakul is also in Thailand, enjoying the break,” added the source.

The couple made their relationship official on Instagram in 2021. Since then, they have been open about their relationship.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rakul Preet Singh will be seen in Kamal Haasan starrer Indian 2. On the other hand, Jackky Bhagnani is producing Bade Miyan Chote Miyan starring Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff and Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Makers of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal to celebrate the incredible success of the film on January 6

Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal has not only attained success at the box office but it has also become one of the highest grossing Bollywood movies ever. Starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, the movie has achieved this despite being 3 hours 23 minutes long and, more importantly, getting an Adults only certificate from the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification). Released exactly a month ago on December 1, the movie also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Tripti Dimri.

When a film attains such a stupendous success, it is obvious for the makers to celebrate. Hence, as per information received by Bollywood Hungama, the team of Animal will be throwing a success bash in Mumbai on Saturday January 6. We have also come to know that the party is going to be a grand one at the posh Jio World Convention Centre at BKC (Bandra Kurla Complex).

As expected, along with the cast and team Animal, some big names from the film world are expected to attend the celebration.

Animal is a story about a son, played by Ranbir, and his deep love for his father (Anil Kapoor). The film is produced under the banners of T-Series, Cine1 Studios and Bhadrakali Pictures.

Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is one of the most keenly awaited films of 2024, more so for its fresh casting of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Richa Chadha calls MakeMyTrip and Air India “Scamsters”; says, “I hope your companies endure more losses”

Acclaimed actress Richa Chadha recently took to social media to express her frustration with the travel experiences she encountered with booking platform MakeMyTrip and airline Air India. In a tweet, Chadha explained issues she faced during recent trips, criticising both companies for alleged poor service and a lack of accountability and called them “Saste cheats.”

The Masaan actress claimed that her flight was cancelled without intimation. While calling out “Thakela customer service at MakeMyTrip,” Chadha wrote, “There’s no option for you to claim a refund.” She concluded her tweet by adding, “Do yourself a favour, avoid these 2 SCAMSTERS in 2024! I hope your companies endure more losses than you have in all of your collective histories.”

In addition to this, when an X user asserted that he liked the word “Thakela,” Richa replied by saying, “More thakela is loss making mammoth @airindia ! They don’t even have a human team handling their twitter account. Just bots.”

Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that MakeMyTrip’s account on X replied, “As discussed, we are getting the concern sorted for you and we will share the update with you over DM and call by today evening.”

Apart from this, a section of netizens agreed with the actress and shared similar experiences in the comments section. “Same happened with us well pathetic services and products,” wrote an X user while another commented, “They also took 8500 bucks extra for date change which never happened and it's been about 9 months and my money has not been returned.”

Aamir Khan learning classical music; devotes one hour every day for practice: Report

Over the past couple of years, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has picked up several hobbies to up his skills. The actor is known to be a perfectionist and devotes his time to skills he always wanted to learn. In recent times, the actor has been learning classical music and ensures to practice daily.

According to a report in Etimes, a source revealed, “Aamir devotes one hour every day to his singing. He is religiously doing his riyaz and learning from a classical music teacher.”

Rajkumar Hirani breaks silence on Munna Bhai 3: “I have 5 half-written scripts”

In 2003, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani released his iconic comedy film Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. Starring Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi, the characters of Munna and Circuit became iconic. This was followed by the 2006 sequel Lage Raho Munna Bhai which also featured Vidya Balan. However, there has been no update on Munna Bhai 3, which fans eagerly are waiting for.

In a recent conversation with ANI, Rajkumar Hirani said, “Munna Bhai ke sath humesha mera struggle yehi raha hai ki pichli do films itni achi ban gayi hai ki mere paas 5 aadhi likhi scripts abhi tak padi huyi hai (The struggle with this film is that the first two films were so well made and I have five half-written scripts. I feel that if I don’t reach the level of those two films, I won’t be able to make the third one. I have one story that can be made but some stories get outdated so only time will tell.)”

“Meri aksar baat hoti rehti hai Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) se. Woh kehta hai ki ek banani chahiye. Abhi yeh Dunki khatam huyi hai toh ab main kholunga pitara purani kahaniyon ka. Gadar 2: Premiere of Sunny Deol starrer on Zee TV to be held on December 31

Popular actress Hina Khan is currently hospitalised due to high fever. The actress herself shared the health update with her fans through the Instagram story section. On Thursday morning, Khan shared a couple of photos from the hospital and shared that her body temperature continued to range between 102–103 degrees for the last four days.

“I have had four terrible terrible nights of high-grade fever. This s*** won't come down only. Continuous 102-103 temperature. Uff no energy left now. It’s sickening. #lifeupdates for all those who are worried for me, I will bounce back. Inshallah, send in your love please (sic),” the Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 actress wrote on her Instagram.

In the next story, Hina shared her picture from the hospital bed as he received treatment, followed by a caption that read, “Life updates Day 4. #onedayatatime.”

Saif revealed that his mother was the first one he spoke to when he was considering this separation. “With the separation, I just like to say, that the first person I spoke to before the separation was my mother. She took a deep breath, there was a pause on the phone, and said, ‘I am with you if that’s what you want’ and that helped a lot,” said Saif.

Sharmila Tagore went on to speak about how the entire divorce and separation affected her and her cricketer-husband Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi aka Tiger. “When you are together for such a long time and you have such lovely children, then no break up is easy. Then it is not a harmonious… I know it is difficult to have harmony at that stage, everybody is hurt… so that stage was not nice but I tried. But that’s water under the bridge, she needed time to cool down and they worked it out together.”

She added, “It’s not just staying away, there are so many other things that are involved. It wasn’t a happy time for us because Ibrahim was just three and we were very fond of the children. Especially, Tiger was really fond of Ibrahim and he would say, ‘That’s a good lad.’ He didn’t get that time with him. So we felt doubly deprived to lose Amrita and lose the two kids. So it’s just not him but we also had to adjust to all that,”

Currently, Saif Ali Khan not only spends time with Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, but the duo are also share a great rapport with Saif’s second wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and their kids, Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh.

Mukesh Bhatt on Triptii Dimri’s casting in Aashiqui 3, “Rubbish! I haven’t even met this lady”

News about Triptii Dimri’s casting opposite Kartik Aaryan in producer Mukesh Bhatt’s Aashiqui 3 came out yesterday. But when this writer asked Mukesh Bhatt about the casting closure his response was vehement. He said, “Rubbish! This is absolutely false. I have made it very clear that we are not casting until the script and the music are ready. But everyone wants to cash in on my popular Aashiqui franchise. This is unacceptable. I haven’t even met this lady.”

Mukesh Bhatt wants to make it clear once and for all that Aashiqui 3 is not happening until he is happy with the music. “The only name that has been finalized is Kartik Aaryan. Kartik and the music are the stars of Aashiqui 3. The rest will happen after we get the music in place, not before,” added the producer.

The first film in the Aashiqui franchise released in 1990 and it launched Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal. It was directed by Mahesh Bhatt. The movie became a runaway musical hit and the two debutants became household names. The second movie, Aashiqui 2, starred Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor and it released many years later in 2013. That film, which was directed by Mohit Suri, also became a musical hit. Aashiqui 3 will be helmed by Anurag Basu.

Ajay Devgn to kick off new schedule of Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again in Hyderabad from third week of January 2024: Report

Actor Ajay Devgn will be back on the sets of Singham Again, helmed by Rohit Shetty, from January 2024 onwards. The film went on floors a few months ago. Led by Ajay, he will resume the new schedule in Hyderabad in the third week of January 2024. The actor was recovering from an injury and had taken a break from the shoot. The upcoming schedule will go on for over a month.

As per a report in Pinkvilla, a source said, “On the day Ajay Devgn was hit on his eyes, he went to the doctor and quickly returned to the set to finish his work for the day as he believes in the philosophy of ‘Show Must Go On. Post that, Rohit continued to shoot for the film as planned with other artists and the crew at Golden Tobacco in Andheri. He recently called it a wrap on the Mumbai schedule and is now gearing up for the next marathon schedule of Singham Again at Ramoji Film City.”

“All the members forming part of the principal cast will be joining the next schedule at some point of time, and Ajay Devgn will be constantly shooting for the film over a period of next 30 days,” the source added.

Singham Again stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff and Arjun Kapoor. It also has special appearances of Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh. The makers plan to release the movie during the Independence Day 2024 weekend. Bollywood Hungama has learnt that she has been signed in the upcoming romantic drama Aashiqui 3 opposite Kartik Aaryan. The film will be directed by Anurag Basu. The search for the female lead in the third film of the Aashiqui franchise was on since quite a while. It has finally ended with Triptii’s selection. Bagging this film is indeed expected to be a milestone in her career.

Aashiqui, the first film, released way back in 1990 and it starred two newcomers who became overnight sensations – Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal. The film became an unexpected musical hit. The second film, Aashiqui 2 came many years later in 2013 and it starred Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor. Directed by Mohit Suri, this one also became a musical hit.

Coming back to Aashiqui 3, it will be interesting to see the chemistry between the new onscreen couple, Kartik and Triptii.

Sukesh Chandrashekhar sent messages to Jacqueline Fernandez through Whats App: Report

Lately, conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar and Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez are making headlines for levelling serious allegations against each other. Sukesh, who earlier wrote love letters to Jacqueline from the jail, has now turned against her. It happened after Jacqueline moved the Delhi high court seeking direction to the superintendent of Mandoli prison and Delhi Police’s economic offences wing (EOW) to not allow the conman from issuing any letters, messages, or statements addressed to her directly or indirectly.

Amid this, India Today has accessed messages sent by the conman to the actor. As per the report by the portal, Sukesh allegedly sent several messages to Jacqueline through WhatsApp, using a fake number, while he continued to be lodged in jail.

The portal reported a message from Sukesh to Jacqueline, dated June 30, 2023, which read, "Baby this month on 6th, we have a court date and if you are produced by VC please wear a black kurta or wear anything in black, so that I know you have seen all my messages and you Love ?? So baby and missing you Ton I love you baby girl, you are mine mine forever.”

In a message following the same, the conman wrote, "Baby, it's really upsetting to see you did not wear Black on that day during the court hearing baby I really don't understand what are you even thinking, running away or avoiding me is not going to help in any way has it is only going to be me by your side in all from of ways am again repeating am ready to do everything that you need without any issues.”

"18th court production on VC please wear any colour, a multi-colored Kurta or just a plain white shirt without any design that I know that you have seen this message... I love you so much," the message read, according to the report. Not only this, the conman also claimed Jacqueline would be approached by film director and music writer Luv Ranjan for a movie in one of the messages.

For the unversed, Jacqueline is a protected witness in the FIR being investigated by the EOW in connection with the Rs 200-crore money-laundering and extortion case. Meanwhile, Sukesh is the prime accused in the case.

REVEALED: 27 minutes of ‘adult’ content removed from Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal by Censor Board in Bangladesh

The Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal is a huge blockbuster despite the ‘A’ rating and excessive run time of 3 hours and 23 minutes. The film was riddled with disturbing violent scenes, a few intimate sequences and moments and dialogues that shocked the audience. This shock value along with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s expert direction made the film worth watching for many moviegoers. There were reports of moviegoers watching Animal repeatedly especially for its adult content.

Hence, it’ll be surprising for many to know that these shocking scenes and dialogues are absent in the version of Animal which has been shown in the cinema halls of Bangladesh. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The Bangladesh Film Censor Board made it clear that the movie cannot release unless certain ‘adult’ scenes were chopped off. The makers agreed. In the process, some 27 minutes of the content got censored. The run time of Animal in Bangladesh is 2 hours and 56 minutes.”

The source continued, “As expected, the audience wasn’t happy like their Indian counterparts as the censored version of Animal was devoid of the shock value. Moreover, it had a late release in the country, on December 7. In India and elsewhere, it arrived in cinemas on December 1.”

Another source said, “Even Salaar, rated ‘A’ in India, hasn’t got a release in Bangladesh. It remains to be seen if it can be released next week there. Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki, however, had a day and date release in Bangladesh as the rest of the world.”

Bollywood Hungama was also the first one to report that in India, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) handed over the ‘A’ certificate to the makers of Animal after they removed close-up shots in an intimate scene and ‘suitably’ modified cuss words. A few more changes were also implemented which thankfully, didn’t affect the narrative or impact.

Bollywood Hungama also exclusively reported that Pathaan became the first Bollywood film to be released in Bangladesh. The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer released in the neighbouring country on May 12 this year followed by Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan on August 27.

Besides Ranbir Kapoor, Animal also starred Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri.

In a strategic move, film producer Boney Kapoor, along with his daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, has made headlines by selling four of their upscale apartments in Mumbai's coveted Andheri suburbs. The prime real estate, situated in the posh Lokhandwala Complex of Andheri, fetched the Kapoor trio an impressive total of Rs 12 crore.

The first set of transactions, involving two flats on the first floor of a building in Lokhandwala Complex, were sealed for Rs 6.02 crore. The deal, registered on November 2, 2023, spans a collective area of 1870 sq ft and includes an open car parking space. The fortunate buyers, Siddharth Narayan and Anju Narayan, secured their new residences as part of this lucrative agreement.

This lucrative move comes after their noteworthy purchase of a duplex apartment in Bandra for a staggering Rs 65 crore in 2022.

Our A-list superstars could well be setting a new trend in gender dynamics, if they so wished. It was Shah Rukh Khan whom we first saw mentoring, rather than romancing, Alia Bhatt in Gauri Shinde’s Dear Zindagi. Now seven years later, Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday share a mentor-pupil relationship in Karan Johar’s The Untold Story Of C Sankaran Nair.

The biopic, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, features Akshay Kumar in the titular role. Nair famously took on the British empire in a case against the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

Said a source close to the project, “Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday play lawyers. Akshay plays a senior and highly respected lawyer while Ananya is just starting out and looks up to Akshay for guidance. There is no romantic interest between the two.”

Akshay was last seen in Tinu Suresh Desai’s Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue, which released in October. The film was based on the herculean efforts of Jaswant Singh Gill who saved a large number of miners trapped in a flooded mine in Raniganj in 1989. Akshay played the character of Gill while the film also starred Parineeti Chopra, Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra and Kumud Mishra. The movie recently started streaming on Netflix.

Saubhagyavati Bhava: Niyam Aur Shartein Laagu to go off air; Karanvir Bohra CONFIRMS!

The sequel of the 2011 series Saubhagyavati Bhava titled Saubhagyavati Bhava: Niyam Aur Shartein Laagu, premiered in September this year. However, it seems the sequel did not manage to create the same essence again as the show will, reportedly go off-air soon. If a report by Times of India is something to go by then, Amandeep Sidhu, Dheeraj Dhoopar and Karanvir Bohra’s show will go off air to make way for the new launches.

A source close to the show told the portal, "Today the cast is shooting for its last sequence and wrapping up." Having said that it is worth mentioning here that recently Rohit Roy has joined the cast and the audience loved his track.

In fact, Karanvir Bohra has also confirmed the news in his latest Instagram post. In the video post, Karanvir can be seen meeting and extending war hugs to teh cast and crew of  Saubhagyavati Bhava: Niyam Aur Shartein Laagu. In the caption, Bohra wrote, “Made such a beautiful family on the sets of #saubhagyavatibhava will miss all you guys so so so much.” He has uploaded the entire video on his YouTube channel.

REVEALED: Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’s sequel to be called Salaar Part 2: Shauryanga Parvam

The much-awaited film Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire was finally released today in cinemas across the world after making a lot of noise not just over its content and star cast but also issues related to show sharing. Starring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan, the action entertainer is directed by Prashanth Neel and Hombale Films of KGF fame. As a result, the hype was tremendous resulting in a huge start down South and a decent start in the Hindi-speaking markets.

As the name suggests, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire was the first part with a sequel promised by the makers even before its release. As expected, it has come to light that the first part ends by mentioning the name of the sequel. The next installment will be called Salaar Part 2: Shauryanga Parvam.

Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire is set in a city named Khansaar populated by dangerous anti-social elements and is also a story of friendship. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, producer Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films confirmed that when the final product couldn’t get ready by September 28 as scheduled, the film was shifted to December 22 due to astrological reasons. Hence, while Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Dunki and the Hollywood superhero film Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom released on December 21, the makers of Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire didn’t prepone their date.

In the same interview, Vijay Kiragandur also clarified that the underperformance of lead actor Prabhas’ recent films doesn’t bother them, “We don’t see one or two failures of a star as a reference. We take the success stories as a reference instead and make movies. We hope Salaar will become a blockbuster. His films might not have worked but look at the first-day figures. Nobody has got that kind of an opening in India that Prabhas sir’s movies get.”

Union Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, Skill Development, Electronics & Technology, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, held a special screening of Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur. It was attended by parliamentarians, defence officers, armed forces veterans, and their families. The screening was held in Delhi on Tuesday.

Speaking of the film, Sam Bahadur is a biographical war drama film based on the life of India's first field marshal, Sam Manekshaw. He led the victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, which led to the creation of Bangladesh. Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, it also stars  Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, among others. 

Despite facing a clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, Sam Bahadur did decent business at the box office. It has collected Rs 103.97 crores worldwide.

Shaan's track ‘Durr Kahi Durr’ has been DROPPED from Dunki, the singer revealed: "It was Rajkumar Hirani's call..."

Shaan's melody for Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki has hit a sour note. The singer confirmed his song's removal from the Rajkumar Hirani directorial. For the unversed, earlier this year, in May, Shaan confirmed singing a romantic track. However, the song, titled 'Durr Kahi Durr,' did not make it to the final cut. 

Speaking of the same, on the day of the release of Dunki, that is today, Shaan took to his X and shared his thoughts on the matter. “I just want to clear the air about why my song was not part of the film .. the song, a beautiful breezy duet ( with  @shreyaghoshal ) “Durr kahi Durr” was recorded and also picturised in Kashmir,” read an excerpt of his tweet. 

He went on to explain that on the edit table, it was filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani’s call to drop the song “after a lot of contemplation.” Shaan also cleared that the director was “very transparent” to him when the decision was taken. He concluded by adding, “I really appreciate that.. and I fully understand that the Film is top priority. Hopefully You will get to hear the Song in His Future Project.”

The confirmation from Shaan left a section of his fans heartbroken. “I am sad as it looks like a good song was taken away from us but hope we will really get to hear it someday,” wrote an X user while another commented, “Can you ask them to release it as a deleted song later.. Please.” 

Coming back to the film, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Shah Rukh Khan, Dunki released today, December 21. Besides Khan, it also features Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal along with Anil Grover and Vikram Kochhar.

BOLLYWOOD HUNGAMA IMPACT: Salaar set for showcasing in single screens owned by PVR Inox; Renegotiations started

Bollywood Hungama created a stir in the Indian Film Fraternity on Wednesday evening with its fearless reporting on the Dunki vs Salaar clash. Following our reports, the entire Indian Film Fraternity started to pick up the call on each other to discuss the grave problem of showcasing for Salaar and Dunk in the North Indian Market. While the industry discussed the issues at length, there has been a major relief for Hombale Films and Anil Thadani. A top insider informs that PVR Inox is reconsidering their decision of allotting 100 percent of shows to Dunki at all the single screens owned and managed by them. A trade source informed Bollywood Hungama, "PVR Inox realized their error of judgment and are now looking to rectify their error without hurting any stakeholder. It's a publicly listed company and they don't wish to indulge in any unfair trade practice. Salaar will get what it deserves at the single screens and all the showcasing at PVR Inox through the weekend will be dynamic."

The single screens of PVR Inox are now exploring split showcasing for Dunki and Salaar based on the demands of every individual territory. "They had opened advances at some single screens however, post the outrage on social media for unfair trade practices, they had to close the advances to restart the negotiations with Anil Thadani. While Dunki will continue to have an upper hand in showcasing at single screens of PVR Inox, there will be shows allotted to Salaar. Some single screens will have 2 shows each of Dunki and Salaar, whereas some will go ahead with 3 for Dunki and 1 for Salaar. It's a fair showcasing plan that is being chalked out and will be pitched to both Pen Marudhar and AA Films. Once both the parties agree, the bookings for Friday will open. If Salaar gets better footfalls, there will be an increase in shows from Sunday," the trade source told us.

Once the showcasing plan is made, it will be sent to both teams Dunki and Salaar for approval. Once both parties are on the same page, the bookings will be one. "Once the bookings open, Salaar team will also commence their bookings in Telugu markets for Salaar. Right now, Salaar team is holding back and have withdrawn their release in South India from PVR Inox and Miraj," the source told us further.

Dunki releases solo on December 21, whereas Salaar will be indulging in the clash with the SRK film from December 22.

According to a source, Ajay Bijli is turning a singer for Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki. "Very few know that Ajay Bijli is very passionate about music and has singing as one of his hobbies. The PVR honcho is now set to turn his hobby into a profession with a small singing assignment in Dunki," a source close to Dunki told Bollywood Hungama.

Ajay Bijli is turning a singer with a song titled "Waheguru". "It's a devotional number and in sync with the world of the film. It's a situational traditional number," the source told us further.

Interestingly, Ajay Bijli also owns his own band called Random Order and he has been extremely passionate about music over the years. Ajay is now looking forward to see how the audience reacts to his singing, as he is the leader in the exhibition space trying his hands in the music sector.

SHOCKING: Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom’s regional versions won’t release on December 21 as scheduled; expected to release on December 22 or 23 as CBFC members fail to watch the dubbed versions despite applying for certificate in advance

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is often in the news for censoring or cutting scenes or dialogues from films. Recently, the CBFC made noise after actor Vishal accused the officials of bribery while he tried to get the certificate for the Hindi version of Mark Antony. And now, the board is in the news again thanks to the upcoming Hollywood film, Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom. The film was all set to release in multiple languages on December 21. Bollywood Hungama has now learned that only the English version will make it to the cinemas tomorrow as the regional versions didn’t get a certificate in time.

A trade source told Bollywood Hungama, “It’s confirmed. Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom won’t have a release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on December 21. This is because the CBFC officials are yet to watch the film.”

The trade source further said, “Warner Bros had applied for the certification a month in advance. Yet, the CBFC’s committees didn’t watch all versions. The English version was seen just a few days ago and the certificate was handed over to the studio yesterday. The studio tried its best to request the CBFC members to certify the regional versions but they didn’t.”

When asked when the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions will be released, the source replied, “If the CBFC members watch the dubbed versions on December 21, then Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom’s regional versions will be released on Friday, December 22. If they see the film on December 22, then Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom will get a release only on Saturday, December 23.”

An industry insider commented, “This will cause a mess in the exhibition sector. Salaar is going to be released on Friday, December 22. Hence, for a day, Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom was going to enjoy a wide release in Southern and Hindi markets for a day. It would have given the film a chance to generate a positive word of mouth and then it would have benefited during the holidays. Now, the film has lost this chance for no fault of the studio. The exhibitors will now have to replace Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom’s shows with other films or with its English version. The first part had done well in the South. The exhibitors out there were hoping to screen its regional version a day before Salaar’s release and get decent footfalls.”

The insider also said, “Warner Bros is a major global company and this fiasco will get noticed across the world. This could have been avoided.”

This is not the first instance where a film has got a delayed release due to CBFC. Jennifer Lawrence-starrer sex comedy No Hard Feelings was released on Saturday, June 24, instead of Friday, June 23 as the CBFC took time to give a certificate. 6 years ago, Justice League (2017), also backed by Warner Bros, was released only in English on November 17 while it was released in regional versions a week later, on November 24, again thanks to CBFC.

When contacted, a spokesperson of Warner Bros India, “We are yet to receive the certificate for the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions. We are hoping we get it soon and that the film gets a release in all languages tomorrow, as scheduled.”

Rashmika Mandanna Deepfake case: Delhi Police tracks down four suspects: Reports

In the latest development to the deepfake case related to Animal actress Rashmika Mandanna, Delhi Police has tracked down four suspects. For unversed, the actress fell prey to a deepfake video which was widely circulated video in which her face was morphed into the face of a social media content creator. While the search for the main suspect is underway, the four suspects are alleged unloaders of the video.

The ANI tweet on Wednesday morning read, “Delhi Police say it has tracked down four suspects, who turned out to be uploaders, not the creators, involved in the case of deep fake profiles of actor Rashmika Mandana. Police are looking are the key conspirator in the case.”

Earlier in November 2023, Rashmika took to X (formerly Twitter) to express her feelings, stating, “I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online. Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused.”

She continued, “Today, as a woman and as an actor, I am thankful for my family, friends and well-wishers who are my protection and support system. But if this happened to me when I was in school or college, I genuinely can’t imagine how could I ever tackle this. We need to address this as a community and with urgency before more of us are affected by such identity theft.”

Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Bhushan Kumar officially announce Animal sequel titled Animal Park

Even with the polarizing reactions to Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal, it continues to be a favourite in cinemas and has become a global box office success. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal is set to become a franchise. While the film’s sequel Animal Park was teased in the post-credits of the film, Vanga and producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series have announced the sequel which is now titled Animal Park.

Talking about the partnership with Kumar, Vanga said, “The kind of freedom he gives in terms of my creativity and the liberty to choose any song makes me feel at home at T-Series, and there is nothing more than that a director needs.” The director said that the producer wasn’t worried about the budget and did not interfere during the shoot of the film. He added, “I realized after the movie was made that we never discussed the budget,” he was quoted by Indian Express.

In the post-credits scene, Animal character Aziz, who is a butcher, will avenge the death of his brother Abrar (Bobby Deol) and now looks like Ranvijay (Ranbir Kapoor) after plastic surgery. He goes on rampant killing in the scene before the curtain closes.

In India, Animal has collected Rs. 519.64 crores. The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Triptii Dimri. It was released in theatres on December 1, 2023. SCOOP: Vijay Deverakonda’s brother Anand Deverakonda starrer Telugu hit Baby to be remade in Hindi, producer on board has a “solid” track record

The 2023 Telugu film Baby, directed by Sai Rajesh Neelam, broke all box office records. A quirky love story featuring semi-newcomers, Baby made at an estimated budget of Rs. 15 crores. It has so far made almost Rs. 100 crores at the box office, making it one of the biggest small-budget money-spinners of all times.

And now, Baby is on the verge of being remade in Hindi. When this writer contacted the film’s producer Sreenivasa Kumar Naidu, known in the Telugu industry as SKN, he was over the moon. He said, “Yes sir, Baby is going to be remade into Hindi. Not only Hindi, but also Tamil. In both languages, the star cast will be fresh, if not newcomers, then semi-newcomers. The USP of Baby was the underexposed cast. Both Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya were relatively unknown faces. They had done films before. But Anand was known as Vijay Deverakonda’s brother and Vaishnavi’s work was unrecognized. We want unexposed faces in Hindi remake, although let me tell you, some of the biggest star-children in Bollywood want to do the Hindi remake of Baby.”

SKN has been approached by some of the biggest producers in Filmistan for the remake rights. Laughed SKN, “That’s right, sir. You will be surprised at the names that are interested in our small film, which nobody expected to turn so big. So far, the box office collections of Baby are Rs. 96 crores. It is all destiny, sir. Baby breaking records is a miracle.”

Blitzed by remake requests, SKN has already zeroed in on the Hindi producer he will give the remake rights to. “It’s not about the money only. It is also about putting my ‘Baby’ in safe hands. The producer who is doing the Hindi remake of Baby has a solid track record of credible projects. I am a hundred percent confident he will do full justice to Baby. I am sorry we are not ready to disclose the producer’s name as yet,” he said.

Veteran actress Tanuja recovers; is expected to be discharged soon

Earlier this week, as news reports were abuzz with details of yesteryear actress Tanuja being hospitalized These reports suggested that she was taken to a suburban hospital in Mumbai due to age-related ailments. Now, the latest update is that the star is currently recouping well. And if all is well, she will also be discharged soon. For the unversed, Tanuja is also the mother of Bollywood star Kajol and actress Tanisha Mukerji.

News reports suggested that Tanuja was admitted in the ICU aka Intensive Care Unit after she complained a few ailments. She was undergoing treatment for the same, and sources close to the hospital have confirmed that she is responding well and should even be returning home soon. In fact, a source was quoted telling ETimes, "She is much better and will be discharged in a day or two.” While fans were concerned about her health after reports of her being hospitalized started doing the rounds, the sources did assert that it wasn’t something to worry about.

Being one of the seasoned and award-winning actress of Bollywood, Tanuja is known for sharing screen space with some of the most iconic film personalities, like Rajesh Khanna, Dev Anand, Dharmendra, Sanjeev Kumar, among others. Her films like Haathi Mere Saathi, Anubhav, Jewel Thief along with her work in Bengali Cinema received a lot of recognition. The source continued, “The invite then states that the wedding is set to take place on Saturday, January 13, at a sprawling venue in a business district in Mumbai in the evening. Finally, the invite requests guests to bless the couple. 'Blessings only' is prominently written below. The names of the people inviting, besides Aamir Khan, are his ex-wife (and mother of Ira) Reena Dutta and Nupur Shikhare's mother Pritam Shikhare.”

The source also said, “The wedding venue is grand and apt for such a high-profile wedding reception. Depending on the occasion, it can easily accommodate between 1200 to 3200 people. The biggest of names from Bollywood and other industries are expected in full force to bless the newly wedded couple.”

In an interview in August 2023, Ira Khan said, “We know that we want to get married on January 3, but which year... we haven’t decided on that (laughs!). January 3 is very special for us (she and Nupur Shikhare) as that’s the date when we first kissed.”

In another interview in September 2023, Ira revealed, “Popeye (as she fondly calls Nupur) began training me when I was 17. I saw him as this super fit human, whose physical capabilities I aspired to have. Steadily, we became friends and later, we started dating.”

Veteran actress Tanuja, mother of Kajol, admitted to hospital: Reports

Veteran actress Tanuja, mother of actresses Kajol and Tanisha Mukerji, has been admitted to the hospital due to age-related issues. The 80-year-old actress was admitted to ICU at a Juhu hospital in Mumbai.

According to a report in PTI, a source revealed, “She is under observation. She is doing well. There's nothing to worry about.”

Tanuja, a seasoned actress in Bollywood, embarked on her acting journey in the 1960s. Renowned for her naturalistic performances, Tanuja effortlessly transitioned between lead and character roles. Tanuja made her acting debut with the Bengali film Balika Badhu in 1967. She made her Hindi film debut in the same year with Chhabili.

Her notable works include Haathi Mere Saathi, Anubhav, Mere Jeevan Saathi and Jewel Thief. She won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in Paisa Ya Pyar (1969). The recipient of prestigious awards, including the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award, Tanuja's cinematic legacy extends beyond her family's illustrious lineage.

Meanwhile, Kajol has her next project with Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran and debutante Ibrahim Ali Khan in Dharma Productions' Sarzameen. She also has Netflix's mystery thriller Do Patti with Kriti Sanon. She has reportedly signed Maa, produced by Ajay Devgn and directed by Vishal Furia. Dunki Fever: Shah Rukh Khan’s Chhattisgarh fan club books an entire auditorium for the 1st day 1st show on December 21

With four days left until the grand release of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki on December 21, 2023, the excitement and buzz amongst the fans and the audiences is growing with each moment. The fans and the audiences are waiting to witness the combination of SRK and Rajkumar Hirani on screen for the first time. Several fan clubs across the nation and the audiences around the globe have begun the preparations to watch the Shah Rukh Khan-fronted film on Day 1 on the first show.

Amongst the massive fan clubs of SRK, the one in Chhattisgarh named Team Shah Rukh Khan is in full force to make the Dunki release day a festival and has begun preparing for the film in advance. The fan club has booked an entire auditorium to watch the film with their entire fan club on Day 1, and they shared a glimpse of the advance booking on social media. Following the ticket booking, the fans cut the cake at the cinema venue and celebrated the film’s release with the audience.

The video shared by the fan club shows its members going up to the ticket counter at a multiplex and asking the executive to book an entire auditorium. We are also shown the process of the executive booking each and every seat for the show. Following the intriguing Dunki Drop 4: The Trailer, viewers are eagerly anticipating the film that promises an array of emotions. This fervour is evident in the bookings for Dunki, which have set records by surpassing Rs 2 crores in gross for the opening day in India.

And now after the first show Of Jawan and Pathaan, Dunki gets its first ever 5:55 AM show. The film is set to release worldwide on 21 December 2023, and SRK Universe has organized special shows of Dunki on over 1000 screens worldwide, which is a record for any Hindi film star.

Shah Rukh Khan’s biggest fan club SRK Universe held the first ever 9 am show for Pathaan at Mumbai’s iconic Gaiety cinema. They followed it with the first ever 6 am show for Jawan at the same iconic cinema. Aayush Sharma’s luxury car meets with an accident in Mumbai: Report

Actor Aayush Sharma's luxury car was involved in an accident at Khar Gym Khana, Mumbai. While Aayush himself was not present in the vehicle at the time, the incident has raised concerns about safety on the city streets, particularly people driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to a report by Zoom, Aayush's driver was on his way to a fuel station when the collision occurred. A drunk driver in another vehicle unexpectedly rammed into Aayush's car, causing significant damage. Fortunately, Aayush's driver escaped the incident unharmed.

The actor has not yet responded to the news of the accident.

Speaking of the professional front, Aayush Sharma made his Bollywood debut in 2018 with the romantic drama Loveyatri. He then went on to star alongside Salman Khan in the action thriller Antim: The Final Truth. Aayush currently has the film Ruslaan lined up for release in 2024.

The video of the same has gone viral on the internet. AbRam Khan is seen in a Medieval-inspired outfit. When he told his fellow performers, “Give me a hug, I love hugs,” and struck the iconic Shah Rukh pose, the tune of 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Jayenge' played in the background. Coming to the professional front, the 57-year-old actor is currently awaiting the release of Dunki. Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, it is slated to release on December 21. Along with Khan, the forthcoming flick also stars Taapsee Pannu. Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal will be seen playing an important role in the film. Notably, it will be clashing with Prabhas’ Salaar, which is scheduled to release on December 22. Shah Rukh and Prabhas will be clashing for the second time.

Team of Sunny Singh starrer Risky Romeo wraps shoot after one and a half months in Kolkata

Team of actor Sunny Singh’s upcoming neo-noir comic tragedy Risky Romeo wrapped its filming after a marathon shoot of one and a half months in Kolkata, the makers announced on Saturday December 15.

The film is written and directed by Abir Sengupta, who had previously directed Kiara Advani starrer Indoo Ki Jawani and produced Radhika Apte starrer Mrs. Undercover. Risky Romeo, also co-starring Kriti Kharbanda, was announced earlier this year

Actor Sunny Singh said he feels “extremely fulfilled” wrapping up the shoot and credited Risky Romeo for offering him a character that had never come his way before.

Sunny said in a statement, “I usually do not get offered characters like this and only when I started shooting I realised what Abir had seen in me and offered me such a different character. The genre of this film is completely unexplored in our industry and it’s a bold step towards showcasing emotions in a very different way. And the city that Abir has chosen to film Risky Romeo is adding to the magic of the story. I cannot wait for the audiences to experience what we experienced while shooting the film.”

Writer-director Abir Sengupta said the sets of Risky Romeo had a “totally different vibe” thanks to its subject and the treatment. The filmmaker also revealed that the actors in the film will feature in a look which the audience has “never seen before.”

Said Abir, “That is also something I am extremely excited to present to the audiences. I love the way Sunny and Kriti have responded to the kind of treatment I have given to the film and that is really adding up to the madness. While we wrapped the shoot of our film, me and my whole team missed Kriti on the sets as she wrapped her shoot a few days ago. We had a one and half month long shooting schedule in Kolkata where we all became a part of one family working towards a common goal called Risky Romeo.”

Producers Anushree Mehta (Jaadugar Films), Priyanka Mehrotra and Rameshchadra Yadav (PR Motion Pictures) said in a joint statement that while the team was prepping for the shoot, they were anticipating something strikingly different and once the camera started rolling in Kolkata, even they were in for a treat.

“Sunny and Kriti are totally in sync with Abir. He has given the film a very different treatment and we are returning from the shoot as happy producers with some amazing footage in hand. We cannot wait for the audiences to experience and madness and magic that we have created,” they said.

Dunki vs Salaar battle intensifies as single screens to be split equally for SRK & Prabhas

The battle lines have been drawn and the exhibitors have started to make their pick for the big Christmas 2023 weekend. While the multiplexes in North India have opted to allot 46 percent of shows to Dunki, 30 percent to Salaar, 14 percent to Aquaman, and 10 percent to Animal, it's a fight to the finish at the single screens. According to our reliable sources, Anil Thadani has managed to get 50 percent of the single screens for Salaar and is looking to expand his showcasing further in the mass areas.

"Salaar is a mass-driven film whereas Dunki appeals to class. Christmas is usually a period of a film that marries mass and class together. But this year, there is a clear demarcation between the target audience of Dunki and Salaar. Hence, Dunki is getting a preference in the multiplexes, the single screens are equally split between the aforementioned two films," a trade source told Bollywood Hungama.

The scenario of show-sharing could have been better than what it looks at the moment. "The exhibitors have picked up a film they are willing to screen. While some have chosen to allot all 4 shows to Salaar, some are going ahead with Dunki. Neither Pen Marudhar nor AA Films are at the moment are willing to share any shows with the competitor on single screens. And hence, most properties are exclusively allotted to a particular feature film," the trade source told us further.

At the moment, overall showcasing will be favoring Dunki in the North Indian Market, and that's expected too as SRK is coming off two all-time blockbusters - Pathaan and Jawan. The ratios at all India level are expected to be in the range of 48 for Dunki, 40 for Salaar, and the remaining 12 for Aquaman and Animal.

“Shreyas Talpade’s heart had stopped for about 10 minutes apparently, they revived him and did an angioplasty,” says his friend Bobby Deol

Regrettably, this writer had to convey the worrisome news of actor Shreyas Talpade’s heart attack and angioplasty to his close friend Bobby Deol. Bobby’s first reaction was, “Oh my God!”

A few minutes later, he sent a voice note saying, “I just spoke to his wife. She was really upset. His heart had stopped for about ten minutes, apparently. Now they’ve revived him and done an angioplasty. So just pray that he will be fine. Thank you, Subhash, for letting me know.”

Shreyas is one of the most versatile and underrated actors of Hindi and Marathi cinema.

In an earlier interview, Shreyas said to me, “My career has been adventurous. I come from a normal middleclass family with no film connections. I have auditioned to get my best roles. Luckily for me filmmakers like Subhash Ghai, Nagesh Kukunoor and Farah Khan had faith in me.”

He admitted that he should not have done some of the films that he did. “I also admit I didn’t do some things that I should have. I didn’t market myself well. I was averse to social media. But that’s the need of the hour. It took me some time to accept the marketing reality. I won’t make the same mistakes again. Maybe I will make new mistakes. All my mistakes are mine. I am happy with both the rights or wrongs in my life. John Lever says Duniya gol hai, and so is destiny. Hopefully I will have new challenges and new appreciation in future,” he said.

Shreyas loves the opportunities being provided on the digital domain. “OTT is definitely a blessing for an actor like me. For me, it’s is an extension of the experimental theatre I used to do. That experiment is happening manifold on OTT and there is trigger-audience for it. There are so many stories waiting to be told and performed. Now we have the opportunity. I don’t know whether I am underrated. I am just an actor trying to do my best. But I guess the OTT is like an IPL for us actors. We know there is an audience for what we do, no matter how unconventional,” he said.

Agastya Nanda's big screen debut with Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis to kick off in January 2024: Report

Following the release of The Archies which marked his debut in the film industry, Agastya Nanda is now gearing up for a big screen debut. While the Zoya Akhtar directorial was released on Netflix, Sriram Raghavan’s next Ikkis is set for the silver screen, marking Agastya’s first theatrical project. For the same, he will begin workshops towards the end of December 2023 and continue until January 2024 first half. After this, he will kick off the shoot for the Arun Khetarpal biopic.

As per a report in Pinkvilla, a source revealed, “2023 was an eventful year for Agastya as not just did he make his acting debut with The Archies, but also signed on for a Sriram Raghavan film. Agastya has attended several acting workshops with the Sriram and specially trained acting coaches to polish his body language and step into the shoes of India’s most celebrated war hero, Arun Khetarpal.”

The source further said,  “December and the first half of January will be spent by Agastya in reading the script and also doing some workshops to rehearse for the schedule ahead. Sriram wanted a young actor to play the part of Arun Khetarpal and feels that Agastya fits the role like a hand in a glove. After months of prep, Sriram and Agastya are now all set to commence the journey of bringing the heroic tale to the big screen.”

Varun Dhawan was earlier part of the project. However, there was a casting change after which Agastya Nanda was roped in. A source informed Bollywood Hungama, in December 2022, “The age factor. The Param Vir Chakra-winning soldier Arun Khetarpal on whom the film is based died defending our country at 21. Varun is now 35. So chronologically they don’t match. When Ikkis was announced three years ago Sriram thought he would pull it off with Varun. But now everyone felt the actor playing Arun Khetarpal must be younger. Agastya is just the right age to play Arun Khetarpal.”

For unversed, Arun Khetarpal was a Second Lieutenant in the Indian Army who posthumously received the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest military award, for his exemplary courage and sacrifice during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. A memorial named "Arun's Chowk" was built at the spot where he fought valiantly, and it stands as a tribute to his bravery. Safed, producer Sandeep Singh’s directorial debut, to stream on ZEE5 from December 29

Producer Sandeep Singh’s directorial debut Safed is all set to stream on ZEE5 from December 29, 2023. Starring Abhay Verma and Meera Chopra, the film throws light into the dark world of a widow and a eunuch who, isolated and abandoned by society, finding solace in each other. The film is shot against the rustic background of Banaras. The makers have also released the film’s poster and actors’ individual posters on the occasion.

Speaking about Safed and his experience, Abhay Verma said, “When I look at the poster, I can’t believe the transformation I went through. Had I to do the same thing again today, I wonder whether I would be able to do it. This is a once in a lifetime role. It took a lot of courage to walk the unconventional path and the unveiling of the posters now gives me a sense of fulfilment. I feel proud to have done this role.  Sandeep sir’s conviction that only I could play this character fuelled the fire in me.”

Meera Chopra added, “I hope Safed opens doors of acceptance and makes the society have a mature outlook. Keeping the role that I’m playing in mind, I have kept my look as realistic as possible not only in the film, but also in the posters.”

Sandeep Singh said, “With the unveiling of our poster, I would like my film Safed to be an eye opener to what we shove under the carpet. What makes Safed different is the story which has never been seen before. I am hoping the posters will intrigue the people to watch the film.”

He added, “The music is the lifeline of my film. Every note reflects an emotion and syncs with the main characters of my film.”

The first look of Safed was unveiled by music maestro AR Rehman at the Cannes Film Festival.
